Q: QuestionI already have a plastic water line connected to my current fridge. I don't see how this stainless steel one would work as my plastic one goes through a small hole in the floor that this new one wouldnt fit. Can they just re-use the one I already have?

• A:Answer I would say no. It's all hooked up to sensors and mechanical parts to make it work. Get the long stainless steel water line and a saddle valve. You can easily hook into any cold water pipe and turn run the line through cabinet or wherever to get to the fridge. I went right up through the floor from the basement water line.

• A:Answer You will need to but a shut off valve as this is only the hose that connects from the water source/shutoff valve to the fridge water line. Geek squad won’t install if you don’t have a shut off valve behind the fridge.

Q: QuestionI have an LG refrigerator made and bought in 2017. Due to heavy Lime in our water system here, my water coming out of the refrigerator spout is getting thinner and does not come out with good full flow. Will this Kit work on this regrigerator ?

• A:Answer The refrigerator should come with the plastic hookup or at least if you have them install mine always has. I chose to get the stainless so I won't have to change it in 4-5years. The stainless should last forever. I hope this helps.

• A:Answer We bought a LG LRDCS2603S and best buy insisted their smart choice stainless steel waterline kit be installed. After several days and a lot of ice, the ice still had that chemical taste. After talking to LG customer support and reading the owners manual carefully, the manufacturer recommends using copper or PEX tubing. I contacted geek squad, they returned and installed the PEX tubing kit and just like that, the ice tasted good. They no longer carry the PEX waterline kit. Go figure

• A:Answer It would depend on where your water line comes out of the wall. I wouldn’t try to bend the copper line coming out of the fridge or it will kink. If you need to bend the line I would get a hose to attach the two.
