- Answer Sort of. You need t have the Sonos app and stream the music through that on your iPhone/iPad. You also need to hook it up to an existing amp/receiver. If you are trying to add the ability to stream music from your phone through an old "wired" system, absolutely.

- Answer No. Sonos is wifi only. That includes their app, speakers, and all other components including the Connect.

- Answer The Connect should be thought of as a sound system peripheral that brings the Sonos App to your current wired home system. If the AW6500s are not connected to an existing amp/receiver then you will need the Sonos Amp to use them.

- Answer The Sonos Connect by itself doesn't have Alexa as a built-in feature. However if you have other Alexa-enabled Sonos products (e.g., Play 1 or many of their soundbars) it's possible to use Alexa on those devices and "bridge" from them to the the Connect and get sound from all the devices and speakers. I do this in my set-up using a pair of Play 1s and a Connect. It works very well; and the Sonos app makes it easy to set up a "bridge" between other Sonos products.

QuestionIf I have Connect wired into my A/V receiver, can I stream audio from my Samsung smartphone (e.g., radio station's mobile app stream) through Connect/Receiver so that whatever I have going on my smartphone comes out of the A/V system-connected speakers?

- Answer Sonos uses Tunein to stream radio stations so if your station is available on Tunein you can stream it. All of my local radio stations were available in Tunein. If the station is not available or you wish to stream YouTube or other apps from your phone you would have to buy a separate Bluetooth receiver and hook it up to the connect.

- Answer I don't know the answer to this question. We have all of our Sonos speakers connected through other Sonos speakers. For our surround system, we connect a Sonos Playbar, Sonos Subwoofer and Sonos Ones connected through the Playbar and Sonos Connect. An optical/digital cable connects the TV and Playbar. That is the only connection we have to the TV. We have our DVD player connected to the TV through a HDMI cable so we c an get the sound from movies sent from the TV to the Playbar. Works great and produces great sound.

QuestionI have an audio-technica wireless turntable (with r/w cables) and two Play 1 speakers. Once plugged in, will a Sonos Connect allow the turntable to be heard through the Play 1 speakers? Or do I need Sonos Connect-Amp?

- Answer If you only desire to input music to the sonos system, the connect would be all that is needed. If you wish to add local speakers to the turntable use the connect-amp.

- Answer You should be able to connect the Google home to the connect and control this through the Sonos App, you'd have to experiment. I was able to hook up an Amazon Echo and accomplish what you are looking to do.

QuestionI have a Yamaha RX375 receiver that powers in-ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms. Does it matter if I connect Sonos to the Yamaha using the optical port or the red/white component ports? Can I then also connect to other Sonos wireless speakers?

- Answer The Sonos Connect has two digital outputs and one analog output. The difference depends in the quality of the DAC of the Yamaha RX375 versus to one built into the Sonos player. The Yamaha is using a 192kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown digital-to-analog converter, not sure what chipset, they tend to have better than average electronics. I never heard really bad opinions regarding the Sonos DAC and when feeding the Yamaha via the analog inputs other DSP circuitry can have a bigger impact on your listening experience. Connect both digital and analog and compare the sound. Go with the one that feels better for your ears, room and music.

- Answer Sonos Connect does not have a headphone output so unless you use a headphone amplifier or wireless headphones with line level stereo input or digital input the answer is NO

- Answer There are a couple of methods of connecting a turntable with Sonos, 1st if your turntable is connected and playing thru your existing stereo receiver and the receiver has an audio line level output ( sometimes labelled tape out) then run a patch cable between it and the external input on the Sonos connect. Then select the external audio for the connect from any play1 play3 play5 play at or connect amp location and play your vinyl! Method 2 if your receiver doesn't have any line level output, purchase a phono pre-amp that converts to line output and connect it to the external input on the Sonos connect. Then play back the same as above.

- Answer The sonos output connects over rca. If you cut one end you can connect with the center wires if necessary. (PA system Voltage units often us wire) Ethernet, places on your network and can act as a hub to a second sonos.

- Answer Don’t buy a Nuvo system. It is the most expensive and crappy system out there. It always breaks and malfunctions. It won’t worn with Apple. And who doesn’t have that? Even if you don’t. It just sucks. The modules beak all the time and it is VERY expensive. Don’t buy NUVO!

- Answer My receiver is also a techniques model sl7. Sonos works great with the turntable. You may need to buy an external amplifier for the turntable. I bought mine online for under $20
