A little of both. The front 2 and the sub is a wired connection to the back of the system. The rear 2 speakers have a wireless transmitter. The transmitter needs to be plugged in to an AC outlet and place it under your couch lets say. Then the rear speakers are connected to the transmitter via wires. This allows the rear speakers to be further away from the system and you don't have to run wires all the way across the floor or ceiling from front to back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In regards to your question as to whether or not the speakers on this system are wired or wireless, only the rear speakers are wireless on this particular model Sony-1000W 5.1Ch 3D/Smart Blu-Ray Home Theater System. ^CeCe
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Front speakers and woofer are wired to the unit. The two rear speakers are wireless. Wireless meaning they are not wired to the unit, but they are connected to a power unit that plugs in to the wall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All the speakers are wired. However, the two rear speakers are wired to a separate box which connects to an outlet for its own power source. This box transmits wirelessly to the blu ray player. This way you don't have to worry about the length of the rear speakers and whether they will be long enough to reach the player.
