  • QuestionIs there a way to narrow the distance between the TV feet? Our furniture is 27.5 inches wide. The TV feet are 26.25 inches apart. Would the TV be stable with only .75 inches to spare on either side? Even with wider table, is the TV stable on the small ft?

    Asked by NeedtoKnow.

    • Answer My tv table is just a little bigger than yours and I was afraid the tv would not be stable enough. I used some self sticking velcro strips and actually strapped the legs to the table. Not the prettiest fix but it worked. I may be sorry when the day comes to remove them but it works great for now and the tv is secure. Not sure if you have enough room but it worked for me.

  • Questionwhy does the name description include LED but the display technology is LCD?

    Asked by RT.

    • Answer Hi RT, Thanks for your inquiry. There are two screen types available, OLED and LCD, each with its own unique characteristics. The difference between LCD and LED TVs is that LED TV is a type of LCD television that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to backlight the display. The X80K is a Direct-Lit LED TV. Unlike Edge-Lit TVs, It has LEDs spread across the entire back panel, offering a brighter, more uniform, and dynamic viewing experience. • QuestionWill this stand fit on an 8 1/2 inch fireplace mantle

    Asked by Susie.

    • Answer Hi Susie, Thanks for inquiring about the X80K. If you're planning to put it above your fireplace, make sure the fireplace mantle or table stand can adequately support the weight of the TV and that the TV stand should not protrude out from the fireplace mantle or table stand. For your reference, the measurement of the TV stand in the standard position is approximately 26.18 inch (665 mm) wide and 11.26 inch (286 mm) deep. The weight of the TV without the stand is approx. 22.3 lb (10.1 kg). For safety reasons and the protection of the product, please take caution of excess heat that can affect the TVs performance and safety. Its operating temperature is 0 ºC – 40 ºC / 32 ºF - 104 ºF. • QuestionCan a dvd/vcr player be hooked up to this tv? Can an old pedestal from a previous tv be changed for your 2 leg stand? My table is 30 1/2 inches wide, is this model safe using the stand included?

    Asked by Mary.

    • Answer Hi Mary, Thanks for inquiring about the TV. Yes, you can connect your VCR/DVD player to the HDMI or VIDEO IN port of this TV. If your VCR/DVD player has composite jacks (sockets), make sure to use an Analog Extension Cable (4 pole mini-plug RCA conversion cable) (not supplied). For more about the shape of the Analog Extension Cable, refer to this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/jusltn1/v1/en-003/04-02_01.html Unfortunately, we can only recommend to use the supplied table-top stand or to install the TV with the compatible wall-mount bracket (not supplied). The TV is designed to be used with the table-top stand or legs if you're planning to put it on top of your Stand. The table-top stand supports the weight of the TV so it will not topple over, fall down, and cause personal injury or damage to the TV. Regards, Jess
