- Answer Over-the-air Broadcasts are 720 HD so yes this TV will up-convert the signal and it should look pretty good. It won't be as good as 4K content, but it should look good.

- Answer The base it self is fairly small compared to the length of the unit. I would say the base is about 20-24 inches.

- Answer I have this TV and I think it is OK in any room. It is not bright like Samsung, but it is more substantial in terms of depth of color, which means you get a better picture. Keep in mind that this is a preferential statement. The term "better" depends on what you prefer. I like deep, clear, colorful images that are better than super-bright images,

QuestionWith TV on cabinet, will Sonos playbar block part of the screen?My Sonos playbar is 3.3" high when placed on a cabinet with my old TV, which has a wide border. The new TVs have little or no border. Will my playbar block any portion of this TV's viewing area? You can't tell in the store because all TVs are wall-mounted there. If it will block some of the viewing area, are there stands available to elevate the TV a bit?

- Answer My Sony sound bar is about the same height, and it does not block the picture, but it does block the remote receiver which forced me to hold the remote up in the air to use it. I just placed the sound bar behind the TV and it works just fine, with no perceived loss of sound.

QuestionGreen lines across screenI bought the Sony XBR850C TV this July. It was working fine until this morning when I noticed a green streak running across the screen, from top to bottom. It seems to be permanent and only goes away if I turn the TV off. As soon as I switch the TV back on, even if it is after several hours, the streak comes right back. Has anyone else had similar problems?

- Answer Eh, yes once DirecTV and Sony release the update, not sure when that will be. You will need the Genie DVR plugged into at least one other TV for it to work, nothing else is needed as far as I know.

- Answer The USB port is for the IR blaster for controlling your satellite or cable box, works good as I am using it on my TV. I would recommend you check your box to make sure you do not toss it....costs $80 to order if you need to replace it!

QuestionPlaystation.now availability?I signed up for PSN on my PS4 anticipating being able to play streamed games from an app on my 850C. I've been all over this TV and can not figure out how to do it. I did find a less than detailed note on the Sony.com site that suggested the service wouldn't be available until "summer" 2015. Is this the case???

- Answer Also purchased LG 495 / 300 watt 2.1 with wireless sub Bought $95 open box $250 unit Try to buy one on sale Sound bar is recommended. When you compare it to listening to TV speakers - it's like 4k vs. 780p..... No comparison The LG 2.1. 300 Watt. system has terrific sound quality plus it easily integrated with working with Sony remote control Sound bars with sub woofers truly make a tremendous especially while listening to Pandora and HD Movies You hear everything like do while at the theatre.
