  • QuestionI messed up my question previously. The unit has phono input for a turntable. Does the unit have a built in phono PREAMP, or will I need an external preamp when I connect a turntable.

    Asked by Geb.

    • Answer You will not need an external preamp when you connect a turntable. This receiver is all you will need.

  • QuestionDoes this receiver have digital optical imput and multiple outputs.

    Asked by Matt.

    • Answer Hi Matt, Thanks for the inquiry! This receiver doesn't have a digital optical input, but it has 4 RCA audio IN and 1 audio OUT ports. And it also supports Phono input jacks for connecting a turntable. I'd suggest checking out the Sony STR-DH590 if you're looking for a receiver that supports digital optical input. Hope this helps! Whether you choose to enjoy the warm sound of vinyl via the phono input, or stream music from your digital music collection, you’ve found a perfect match. Don’t forget the receiver’s A=B function lets you connect two pairs of speakers. You can easily switch between A or B or use them all together at the same time. When you factor in the low-profile design, we’re sure you’ve found the flexibility and performance you’ve been looking for! Regards, Sam

  • QuestionHi, I have a set of powered vintage speakers I’d like to connect. The speakers take 6.35mm TRS or XLR input, sensitivity 1v. Does this receiver output at the 1v range? What cable should I use? Thank you!

    Asked by VoltageNewbie.

    • Answer Hi VoltageNewbie, Good question. The two types of outputs on this receiver are amplified for speakers or for headphones. There are no outputs that this receiver has that will directly connect to the speakers. You would likely need to look into a studio equipment.
