QuestionCan you adjust for speaker impedance? How finely can this be done?

- Answer Hi prof2000, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the speaker impedance can be adjusted between 8 ohm and 6 ohm. “8 OHM”: The default setting. Select this when you connect all speakers with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms or higher “6 OHM”: Select this when you connect all speakers with a nominal impedance of lower than 8 ohms. QuestionI assume this receiver has a built in pre-amp since it has a designated phono input. Can I connect a turntable with a built in pre-amp to the phono input? Will running the signal thru 2 pre-amps create any problems?

- Answer Yes you can. It won't cause any problems. The receiver will be able to identify that the signal does not need amplification and will not use the internal phono signal amp. You could use the phono input for another component (if you didn't have a turntable), but you cannot customize the label.

QuestionIs the "Output 4" for all the Inputs (1-4, and phono)? In other words, if I connect a CD recorder to it, can I copy music from any of the inputs?

- Answer Proprietary. The antenna is short and not as good as the antenna that came with my 1990 JVC tuner, so I hooked my old tuner to it.

- Answer Yes, it did come with the FM antenna. It is easy to miss in the packaging though. It was a thin white insulated wire with one end plugging into the receiver and the other end just free to lay where you want.
