QuestionI just moved into a house and haven't had surround sound before. The old owner set up a panel (see attached) for the speakers and I'm not sure if they would work with the wire set up for this receiver. Can someone help? Thank you!

QuestionI am running TV through this reciever and have cable box HDMI plugged into the CATV port but when I shut TV off and turn back on the reciever goes to the TV setting not the CATV setting. Is there someway I can set this to turn on so the CATV setting ?

- Answer I am not having that issue. I have the DH590 hooked up to a Tivo media box which is always on so that is the setting it starts with. However, if I turn on my blue ray player the receiver will switch to that no matter if my receiver was turned off or on.

QuestionI have older Yamaha AVR receiver that over heats when I'm watching a movie with exploding sounds or similar it says ck speaker wires and shuts off. Will this receiver do the same? Thanks.

QuestionNo outpur the sub from either outputs. Set up menu does not shwo the sub as an option. What gives?

- Answer It should help if the question were to be read. I am asking why there is no signal from either of the sub outlets to other wise working active subwoofer (the kind that you plug into a power outlet and when you flip the switch a little red LED light comes on to let the user know know that is is powered). I started the setup using the supplied mic to hear the speakers and recognized this time that there is sub attached too.

QuestionPlay Karaoke songs on laptop. O/P of laptop is I/P to receiver via hdmi. O/P of receiver is I/P to projector via hdmi. How should I setup a microphone for Karaoke here? I don't mind buying a karaoke mixer if mixer supports only 1 I/P at a time.

QuestionWhen i connect my projector(epson 880) to this receivers hdmi out, then the xbox one to hdmi game in, my projector constantly searches for hdmi source, but with no source found. When on tuner, the station guide appears on screen. Why won't the xbox work?

QuestionWhen hooking up the speakers I had the receiver powered up the whole time I was hooking up them up and didn't receive any shocks. After I was done I noticed I didn't have the speaker button on the receiver turned on. Was there any current in those wires?
