- Answer From what I’ve tested and looked at most of the mid range Polk series speakers are what everyone seems to go with (can’t afford right now). I’m using Sony bookshelf for fronts & Dolby height, Polk for rear surround & subwoofer and a Radio Shack center.

- Answer Hello, Giri! Depending on the power requirements of the country, you may need a transformer to make the (unit model) work since US models will require its 120 V AC, 60 Hz. QuestionIs it possible to play the most common cds ( video, music, mp3 ......) and listen to fm station radios with this device ? What is the electricity voltage of the device ? Did it have an universal electric system ?

- Answer For all of this information, you should go to the company (Sony) website and choose Customer Support. There should be an Owner's Guide or Manual available and that should answer all of your questions. I do believe they would also have interactive help available, or contact a salesman at any Best Buy store. In my personal experience, all electric appliances sold for use in the U.S. have the same electrical specifications - standard. The FM tuner is included, as is the CD player, but I have not used the CD player so I don't know which types it will play. The manual should cover that.

QuestionI have a projector \ and I want to hook up a surround system but need a new receive with HDMI to hook up, however, the projector does not have ARC there are only two HDMI ports and no digital audio out hookup either. Will this receiver work?

QuestionCan I replace my Sony home theatre BDV-IS 1000 box with this box?

- Answer Hi, in my opinion, this replacement is not an apple to apple event. The BDV is a home theater system with its own set of speakers/connectors which is not compatible with the STRDH790 which is only a reciever and best suits for just the replacement of a receiver with standard speaker connections. This assumes you have standard speakers (not the ones that comes with the BDV) that can connect to the STRDH790 if not you will most likely have to buy new speakers.

QuestionI have the model SH 790 when playing a movie with Dolby Atmos, it is not showing up on display screen of the receiver to show that the audio is coming thru as actually true Dolby Atmos!! Any suggestions??

- Answer I'm not a real techie but I can say that I didn't think I heard the subwoofer either. Be sure the sound bar is plugged into the TV unit correctly. The sounds that come out of the subwoofer are almost indistinct, but once you really hear something come out of it, you then realize that you are hearing more than you think, but it is different than a stereo where you hear sounds from both sides. The subwoofer seems to only pick up the lower end of the scale sounds/noises but it's there, just very subtle.
