- Answer No the cameras do not have audio the system requires separate audio mike.

- Answer All of the low cost systems require an ethernet direct connect to your Router. This is not a wireless system. Once you have an ethernet cable running from the DVR to the Router then you can access your camera via your smart phone or PC, Laptop, using and appt, or the Swann SkyView

- Answer The cameras can be used either indoor or outdoor. They are sealed internally to deal with the weather. I have had mine for two months. They are durable.

- Answer Yes you can but the supported app for iOS is really outdated and slow. The new apps for iOS does not support the DVR model 84500T

- Answer Any 1080p resolution monitor with hdmi connections. I personally bought a small 27" HP monitor that works great, but any brand and size will do. It comes down to personal preference. You can even connect to a flat screen television.

QuestionDoes the camera have to be installed near an outlet for a power supply? Can the power supplies all be plugged in the same strip and power sent via wires, say 120 feet?

- Answer Cameras come with video and power cord that is one cord with two connectors on both ends, so u connect power to the camera next to the dvr. The power adapters has a 4way splitter to connect 4 cameras each, u will need more cables if u running more than 60 feet. My set came with 60 ft of cables for each camera, and be aware the two power adapters for the cameras take up more than one slot on power strip.

Questionanyone know the recording and playback fps at full 8 channels?

- Answer The maximum FPS for this system is 12, unless you manually downgrade the resolution to 720p, then you get what they call "full frame", which tech support assures me is 25FPS, but I'm not 100% convinced it is. The bitrate runs about 1500-3500mbps, depending on the number of cameras running, the resolution, and the framerate.

- Answer 1 camera per channel. If your 8 chanel system came with 4 cameras you can add 4 more. You can onle have as many cameras as you have chanels.

QuestionDoes this dvr have internal fan (not all do) from pics I don't see grill for fan mount or another swan system 8 or 16 camera that does not have the fan. I have one with no fan(I opened it up to verify) and doesn't run hot.

- Answer You can access from any Internet computer or your Internet connected phone but I will say that the video quality isn't at all what you'd expect from 1080P. I can barely recognize my own children on my cameras unless they are standing right in front of it. Also, the night vision stopped working well within about 2 months of purchase. They show video at night but there is a huge halo around the image making it nearly impossible to tell what you're looking at. Maybe I'll get lucky and a night prowler will put his face 12 inches from the camera, otherwise I'll have no idea who was in my yard.
