It’s fine for short range. I would recommend getting a dedicated GPS tracker for a pet or vehicle. Tile long range tracking depends on other users having the app open on their devices. It’s wonderful for finding your misplaced keys or phone.

You'll probably want the Tile Pro since its more durable, waterproof I believe, and works from a longer range. I cannot speak to whether there are any possible negative health effects to having Bluetooth enabled device around the dog's neck all the time but if they embed trackers in animals skin nowadays, I'd say its probably ok but I'd ask a veterinarian.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would likely be problematic. Tile does not operate via GPS. It's Bluetooth (AFAIK). So, unless another Tile user came within proximity of your dog, your Tile App would only know the last location of the dog (i.e. where Bluetooth connectivity was lost).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but to a certain mile radius. Each tile has a different range and the pro’s have a removable battery versus the older models are not removable.
