QuestionWill it work from one room to the nextMy stereo receiver is downstairs and I would like to use this kit to run speakers upstairs. Will this system work through walls/floors?

- Answer The maximum distance apart the sender and receiver will work is 100ft. Any physical obstacles such as walls will shorten the maximum distance apart they will work. Generally you will want to subtract 20 ft for each wall in between devices.

QuestionNo sound or Pioneer receiver overloadI have a PioneerVSX-516 multi-channel receiver. After hooking up the rocketfish, I either get no sound from the rear speakers or the Pioneer says overload and shuts down. When the speakers are hooked directly to the Pioneer, they work fine.

- Answer It sounds like you have the transmitter and reciver connected backwards. The transmitter (uses the DC power connection and has no volume dial) is the part you connect to your Pioneer reciever. the reciver is the smaller other part that rocketfish package and connects to your speakers, as its also got 30Watts x2 amplification connecting that part to your Pioneer is likely whats causing your "Overload" sicne both the Pioneer and Rocketfish Recivers are outputting wattage!

QuestionHaving a receiver for each speaker with one transmitterI want to set up a stereo configuration rather than surround sound. I would like send a signal from my receiver/amp wirelessly to my speakers (each speaker with a separate receiver & 2ft of speaker cable) separated by about 20 ft. Do I need a transmitter and a receiver for each speaker or is it possible to have one transmitter with two receivers hooked into it?

- Answer Don't quote me on this but...you may want to contact the manufacturer (this is a best buy product/brand). I believe each set of transmitter/receiver is matched at the factory. It is my opinion that you would require two of each UNLESS they were matched at the same frequency at the factory. What I would do is simply buy another kit and TRY it. If it doesn't work I'm positive Best Buy will accept a return within 15 days.

QuestionCan I connect to my zone 2 and transmit across open air to outdoor speakers?

- Answer The transmitter takes a right and left +/- signals from the signal output and streams them to the receiving unit and outputs them into mirrored left/right +/- signals. I haven't personally tested it this way but, it should work. You would need an outdoor rated box (and power for the receiving unit) to avoid it getting damage to the receiver outside.

- Answer Each Rocketfish system comes with Left and Right channels. How big are your speakers and how much power can they handle? Note that these are made for rear satellite speakers. They don't have a lot of power. What you can do is attach an amp to the receiver end to amplify the audio signal. Maybe if you describe what you want to do i can point you in the right direction.

QuestionCan I connect 2 Rocketfish sets to 1 receiver?I have a 7.2 receiver and would like to use 2 sets of the Rocketfish units to connect 4 speakers. Will there be any interference between the 2 units?

- Answer No. I just connected 2 units to my Onkyo receiver. The units are paired at the factory, and will not connect to or cause interference with another kit.

Questiondoes wifi interfere with the connection?My rear system shuts off constantly, i feel like my wifi is causing interference sometimes it even happens when someone walks in the path of the radio frequency. it is really a pain to listen to. is there anything that can be done? The troubleshooting in the manual says to keep away from other RF devices, but I'm not even sure I have any other. I have a cable box, receiver, modem, woreless router and the rocketfish transimitter all together. what else could be causing the issue? please help

- Answer Sometimes if the router from your modem is to close it can interfere with the frequency. Move your router and modem to another room or at least 12 ft. away. Also, make sure that the boxes are securely plugged in and the speakers are wired (+) and (-) correctly. This should solve your problem.

- Answer Yes. I use it on two passive rear Channel speakers and so fare everything works great. Now I don’t know how loud they can get cause that depends on the receiving units amp. For me it is plenty loud.

- Answer Yes it can. I am using a Denon 7.1 receiver, & that is how I have mine setup. You might need to adjust the delay though.

- Answer I have had mine for 2 years now. I havent had any issues since the original connection. I have moved once since, and plugged it back in. No problems.

- Answer It should work outdoors without issue. Just know that the receiving unit needs to be plugged into an outlet. Also you need to run speaker wire from receiver to both speakers. Hope this helps. John

- Answer Yes, this can work with older technology. I used it on my 15 year old Sony amplifier. The wireless is all self-contained in the system. You connect the transmitter(which is in the kit) to the speaker outs on your device. You then connect you rear speakers to the receiving device, which is also in the kit.

QuestionHow can I control the volume with a remote if I hook transmitter directly to the TV?Does the transmitter connect to the red and white audio output jacks in the back of the TV? I don't believe these are controlled by the TV's volume control. Therefore I cannot control the volume on the wireless speakers by using the TV's remote control.

- Answer These are best connected to a receiver so you have full volume and power control. These are "unintelligent" speakers w/o a controlling receiver. They do have a manual volume control knob but that's only for sound level balancing with the rest of the system's speakers.

- Answer I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to do that, however, you are likely throw your timing off on the two speakers and trying to get that right would be difficult to almost impossible.

- Answer If you just set it up, make sure the receiver and the sender are in the proper spots. They are easy to mix up. If they have been there for a while, disconnect everything and then press the connect button for 2 seconds on either the sender or receiver. Once it goes into connection mode, press the connect button on the other one so they can reconnect.
