- Answer Yes, it will work with Windows 10. It will auto recognize and install necessary drivers. Win XP should also auto load the drive, if you have that option set up.

QuestionWill this back up the OS and system files as well as data/photo files? Can it create a ghost (clone) image for recovery purposes?Can it create a cloned image that will not be automatically replaced with updates (to keep an original version of one's computer for recovery purposes)?

- Answer The included software allows you the freedom to create/set up multiple backup plans (such as one for a full backup of all files, one of the original system files, and others for individuals areas of your choosing). If you want to create a backup of the system that wont be replaced repeatedly, create a plan for it. Once it saves it the first time, you can end that plan. It will keep the original backup and won't replace it in the future.

Questionwill this drive back up data from my dvrI have a dvr used to store movies I have streamed via a satellite dish. I wish to purchase a hard drive to store this data to free up the space on the dvr. Please let me know of an alternate external hard drive product that will preform this task, if this drive does not. Must be a 2.0 usb port and 500 gb to 2tb; I prefer 2tb. Thanks

QuestionCan this be used on multiple devices (laptop and a desktop)?Both computers run Windows 8. Can drive be segmented for the data for the separate machines? No need for security between the two, just organization

- Answer I do not know if the drive can be partitioned, but I would suspect so. I'm guessing that is what you mean. In that regard, I apologize if this answer is too obvious, but you could establish separate directories on the external harddrive, one for each computer, and via the drag-n-drop method back up the separate computers in their separate directories.

- Answer No. Just the USB cord. Most applications do not require external power, if you do you'll need a different drive.

- Answer No I do not keep it connected. I wanted something that was safe and I could update to regularly. I keep it off line unless I am using it.
