“I have a gap between my newly purchased dishwasher (WDT730pahz) and the kitchen cabinet. I am trying to find a Gap Filler, Rubber plastic strip, etc.that would fill the gap and hide the insulation material. Any suggestions?”

There are quite a few weather stripping products that would do what you want. They are made to collapse when a door closes on them. Google Pemco weather stripping.
