    Understand policy but good purchase

    Note that bestbuy new repair policy is to send to microsoft v/s swapping for purchase price which is what they used to do. In my case had battery not holding as long of charge, so took in 1 week before expired. They sent unit out 2 weeks later they replaced with referbished older serial number unit. And that unit had a scratch 3/4" long in display. They sent it out a second time, and that refurbished unit with another s/n came back with battery that was also not holding up as it should. They finally said they would return my purchase price and write this one off as junk return. I then purchased the Surface Pro 9 which I am happy with and took out this Geek warranty again.

    I prefer to buy my electronics at best buy because of the ease of receiving quality care when things go wrong. Often you have to really advocate for yourself with the staff almost like they are trained to deny you service but once you get them on board their service is usually great. I had one really hard instance that makes this purchase my last time with best buy if it happens again. This is my third surface from BB. I bought a Surface 4 still going great and got support. Then for my partner I got a new Microsoft Go at best buy, few months later the screen got cracked with a drop. They said they wont replace the screen but the whole computer. We got it replaced but it came back unusably slow. We returned it and the second one came back also unusably slow. No matter how many time we asked them why we could barely run word processor on it they just said it was the computers specs but before we gave it to them it ran better and they should sell computers that cant handle more than one web tab or a word processor. I wont trust their refurbished goods in the future and just hope this isnt an issue again.

    Process for warranty is decently smooth, inspection process is slightly slower than i thought it would be but not bad overall.

    What is taking so long?

    If is taking forever to get bac km a tablet that I turned in weeks ago. I'm fairly certain they need to just give me a new one. Not sure what's taking so long. Oh, and they were very rude about the appointment times they do now. They schedule blocks of time which are 20 minutes long. I assumed that was my window to come and drop it off. No, they want you to come at te beginning of that time frame. I was a little late and live over 30 minutes away. When I arrived, the kid told me I had to reschedule. He was literally standing there doing nothing. Very annoying and rude. I would still recommend getting a warranty, though. Best Buy typically has a great policy.

    This tablet worked great for 1 year, my 7 year old dropped it (with an AMAZON case of course) and it was fine. 1 Year later, today, the charging port does not work, it does not charge. of course I only purchased 1 year of protection.... SO maybe purchase 2 year of protection. idk

    What is there to say about protection. Just hope it will cover your issue. I did use this on a tablet. The tablet would not finish a reset. I took it back and since it was not available anymore. I was able to use the money to another tablet.

    When I turn in my item they said that they can have it done It took a month and a half and it ended up that I needed a replacement but they never contacted me that I did I had to contact them and I didn't like that They didn't keep in contact all I asked for was a replacement camera lens cuz it was cracked and they couldn't even fix that They made me replace the whole thing and they didn't even have the replacement in the store So I had to buy a more expensive one as a replacement

    I was denied a replacement power supply that was beginning to fail because as I was told "it is not part of the Surface Pro that I bought". I still dont understand that.

    Had to return to store so I could purchase somewhere cheaper due to no price matching during Thanksgiving week. Best Buy wouldnt even price match their own sales price.

    purchased for my surface pro; hopefully they can give me store credit for a computer that is not repairable. Upset that they gave me the run around and sent me to the manufacturer just to come back to them and tell me they have to service it. shoulda did that the first time

    Works great. But make sure you keep or know you bit locker key!!! I had to pay to get mine completely reset becuz it messed up and asked and it was never saved

    Bought it because it covers damage and since I use this daily at work it made sense to cover this purchase. Past experience with the coverage had me on the fence. Past purchase was confusing with the set up and login of the tech support portion...I still to this day have no clue what it was and never got any use of the online support. They just sold it to me and left it to me to figure out but seems that this has changed as I didn't receive all the cards and download information this round.

    I got hosed without the warranty on a previous tablet. Use it for work and it got dropped and the screen cracked. out of 90 day factory coverage and woudn't replace, couldn't repair. Had to buy another. Got the coverage and a better protective case this time

    When I purchased the kindles and the warranty I was told that they come with charger replacements I went there stood in line for over 30 minutes for them to give me a 809# to call and wait for them to be shipped???? This # should be given at the time of purchase

    I would give them 5 stars but I had insurance on our old tablets and when our house burnt down for hurricane zeta they said since we didn't have the tablets there was nothing they could do and I think the insurance should have covered that but instead I had to get two more.
