This laptop has all the power of a good desktop. It is a great versatile pc for students, business and just your average person who wishes to surf the web.

I experienced a blue screen 2 times, which automatically reset the laptop, because I purchased a geek squad warranty I was able to get it fixed free of charge. It could have just been a bad egg, but I don't know if I would have had the screen replaced without the geek squad warranty, as I only had 14 days from the date of purchase to make a return or exchange. This was an unfortunate experience to have had with a brand new purchase, that I only had for about 3 weeks. Aside from this experience, I am very pleased with this laptop, it's functioning​ and the price in which I paid for it!

I bought this HP laptop because of the deal I was getting in the moment. I've been using it for a couple of months now and it's very good laptop, things like the Intel Core i7 processor and 12 GB of RAM are perfect for gaming and doing some Office work. The only thing I'll regret for is the screen, it's not bad but it could have a better resolution. In few words, if you're looking for performance and power and you don't care about little details (like the screen or the design) this laptop is the sweet spot for you.

Great laptop for on the go. Its pretty light but sturdy and thin enough to not be a nuisance. The processor is fast and works great with doing multiple tasks and casual gaming. I was able to make this laptop more efficient by changing out the hard drive it comes with for a solid state drive. I used the samsung evo 500 GB.

Couldn't beat the price for an HP Touchscreen i7 with 12GB RAM. Happy with most aspects of unit including speed, size, weight, battery life. Only cons are the touchpad (as usual) is left of center under the keyboard and does not have scroll controll on the pad. (my last laptop had this function but was also a 17")

It was a good computer because of the one terabyte space but the window software would stop working suddenly and you would be waiting for almost 30 minutes for it to come up

Price of this product is good and price was reasonable when getting in deal of the day. Little heavier in weight compared to other similar computer but it's not bad.

I wanted a laptop that would be able to handle a lot of web browsing with minimal gaming and I got just that. In terms of gaming, this thing can handle very basic simulation games like The Sims, as well as point-and-click style games. You definitely wouldn't want to get this thing in hopes of playing almost any kind of shooter or open world style game. My only complaint and reason for docking this thing a star is that the battery is not great. Even when doing minimal web browsing it drains incredibly fast. It nowhere near has the life span that the specs suggest but oh well. This thing at least still does what it was intended and what I wanted it for. Overall for being one of the few laptops on the market with a 1TB of hard drive plus 12GB of RAM (ever so slightly better than average specs), the sale price of $499.99 that I paid was incredibly reasonable.

I bought this in June 2017, I really like it so far, light, affordable, lots of memory and storage.

I have owned this laptop for almost 2 years, For the price you cannot beat it. I7 processor is fast and 12 gigs of ram is enough for a laptop for school. My biggest compliant on this unit is that it was advertised with lit keyboard, it does not have that. Also as other people have said the materials on the laptop seem a little cheap to be honest, but as long as you arent a gorilla with the laptop and always carry it in a bag or storage you should be fine. The only thing I am a little upset about as well is the keys lettering seem to be coming off, I will most likely buy new stickers for this but it is annoying. Regarding gaming this computer does have an integrated graphics card (intel 620) which is "enough" for most gaming applications, dont expect to play anything on high, I use steam to play many games on this computer and it works alright. As long as you maintain and take care of your computers this laptop is a great deal. I have no problems with this almost 3 years in.

Loud key sounds light weight but plastic casing not durable. Disc drive poor hasn’t worked properly.

For the price, it is a great computer. It's fast and on top of that I can touch the screen.

Pretty typical i7 15" screen laptop. The touch screen can be a plus if you need such a thing, but the screen colors and viewing angle aren't the best. I prefer the HP i7 17" screen laptop without the touch screen over this laptop, particularly when Best Buy has it on sale under $500.

Bought this for my middle schooler for schoolwork. Works perfect for that purpose, not ideal for gaming but that was not the intended purpose of the purchase. Good value, great components.

It's few among the best combinations of price, screen size and performance. If it offers 2TB Hard Drive or SSD drive will even better.

I needed a new laptop because my old one was not fast enough nor was it able to do all that I needed it to do. I found this one and according to what was listed it had all that I wanted except the cd/dvd and then when it came there it was. I just have been so busy to find out if it is a dvd record-able or just a player, but I needed that also. Therefore I am a happy camper.

This HP is one of the better laptops on he market, good power, plenty of storage, and a great hi-def screen.

I have always had great service with hp products! I am very pleased with the price and product overall.

We bought this for my son to use at school. It is a good computer for what he needs, as long as he has it plugged in. The battery specs say 6.25 hours, this is only in Standby mode. The battery barely lasts 2 hours, which barely gets him through his first two classes. If you are going with this laptop, know that you will need to be near an outlet at all times.
