Did an order online and shipped to my home, received damaged which sucks when its a steelbook case cus we buy these to collect in the firstplace or i wouldn't even buy from best buy and just get from someone else. Best buy has really got to start sending out better quality items or send them out in much better packaging.

This is a story of a kid growing up in the late 1940s looking forward to Christmas and in particular desiring his parents/Santa/whoever to get him a Red-Rider BB gun for Christmas. Presents all the foibles of a not perfect family, town and world. The thing that makes it work is that we see the story through the adult narration of the kid. Not the greatest of Christmas movies but a classic nevertheless. And the Best Buy price was about $8 for the DVD so it was a bargain.

I would like to see two things improved upon future releases of this classic movie. First, I would like to see one release with the original movie poster artwork. Second, the booklet that should be in the packaging should have publicity shots of the movie being made. What a letdown.

Yes filmed in Ohio - it is a must buy for all who live in Ohio and enjoy Christmas. Though the film is a bit corny in certain parts, overall it delivers a solid story with a few life lessons (like not to stick your tongue on a cold metal pole (HA HA)).

The movie itself is great, the problem is the Blu ray features. It is really bare bones, and the Blu ray Menu is awful. I cannot recommend this blu ray to any hardcore fans unless you cannot find a better copy out there.

Great movie! I wanted to own it instead of waiting for the 24 hour day they show it on TNT. I was excited about the Blue-ray version for better audio and video. Unfortunately this version is not Dolby 5.1.

I feel in my opinion that this movie is overrated and I didn’t enjoy it

Other than the fact that this movie is a Christmas favorite it doesn't bring much else to the table. Looking for a good Christmas comedy? Try Christmas vacation....thank me later.

Not the best, not the worst. This special edition is definitely the best option for purchase though.

This probably would have been great had it actually had the code inside the package to download a digital copy. So, I say 3 stars just for not having that available.

If you enjoy the classic Christmas movie then you would enjoy the steelbook nice design, but back is a bit disappointing.

Great movie. A little disappointed at the fact the best buy nearest to me didn't have this movie and one further only had Blu-ray

I’ll be honest, I never really understood the appeal of this movie, but my wife loves it so I bought it for her.

My wife and kids love this movie. I find it ok. Either way, it's a christmas classic.

Traditional event we do with the family during holiday season by watching this.

For the price, its a great deal. No extra features.
