value wise this is a pretty good monitor for what it can offer but the main issue that i have with this monitor is that it will tend to black out in certain games that i play and it will occur during matches which can get pretty annoying. i have looked at the Acer forum about this monitor and this does seems to be a pretty common problem with this monitor.

This monitor does indeed have 120hz capability. Unfortunately, the blacks look more grey, the VESA mount is embedded in the monitor and obstructed somewhat, and the color reproduction is poor. If you're getting this monitor for 120hz, you will likely find that it looks worse than your regular monitors aside from the fast refresh rate. I also experienced issues with clouding, which caused me to return the item.

Bought this and it had some dead cells on the screen and the DVI port stopped working. So I returned it.

Product is great for games. it is overpriced at bestbuy. Best Buy doest have the best buy for this product.

Only giving this a one due to not even being a year old and the screen has messed up on me. Really like the monitor and it's great on the eyes, but again, this thing has not made it a year. Really sad due to the fact that I purchased 2 of these and now will not have matching monitors.

Wanted a Hi- Def monitor for the PC, had to go and buy multiple pieces to hook same up....PC is 5 years old

Took it back and got a Asus monitor that was way better all the way around

The TN panel was too bright. It made all the colors appear washed out.

I thought this screen too intense to work(excel, word, python) with, probably great for gaming.

I'm not really challenging it doesn't have any major deficiencies

The monitor has froze up twice since we set it up the end of December.

Serves our purpose. Picture is clear. Price is comparable.

I bought this gaming Monitor 2 weeks ago to mate with my PowerColor AMD Radeon 580 8GB OC GPU and AMD 8350 CPU Gaming rig with 24 GB of system memory. I had been using the Dell 2340 monitor (21") until the upgrades in my PC. I have to confess, that out of the box, this monitor is awful/dreadful and will sorely disappoint those with just Plug & Play bias. OOB the colors are washed out, dreary, too bright and gray and stunningly dull. Image quality is not sharp. And all settings are nulled to peak average values. I was close to taking it back to BB 2-3 times over the past week until I decided to just wade in and calibrate it. AND THIS MONITOR LOVES TO BE CALIBRATED! I first established a reasonable Base User profile in the Acer settings. I then went into Windows 10 neat little Calibration program and refined the settings. Lastly I went into the AMD 580 Crimson settings and dialed in the detail. And Holy Moley did this thing pop to life! The AMD Crimson custom settings took it way over the top into epic graphic image range. this monitor can take everything the 580 throws into it. And spit out unbelievable beautiful and detailed images. And gaming at 144 HZ is just awesome and butter smooth with Freesync! I loaded 'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' and played it on the highest setting. I got consistent 80-120 FPS @ 120-144 HZ with zero screen tearing. And the gaming graphics/physics were just spectacularly rendered. So I am a happy camper now. But you're going to have to really tweak this monitor to love it. That is par for the course for any "gaming" monitor. But if you put in the short amount of time needed to get it right; you will be richly rewarded. Out of the Box I would rate this monitor as a 1 Star graphically. After Calibration it is a strong 5 star plus. This is a great product. But it may disappoint a person who buys it expecting Plug & Play boilerplate readiness like a HDTV. Oh yeah-----once tweaked and gamed at 144 hz; you'll never want to game on another display. And 27" is the perfect desktop gaming size (from 2'-3' away).

It would be a good review if I didn't buy this monitor, exchange it for another because of a dead pixel and then just notice that this one ALSO has a dead pixel.

I purchased this monitor, along with another brand that was UHD capable, for displaying security camera feeds. Worked great for 8 months and then died. Called and talked with support who wanted me to send them the monitor and then wait 10 business days for them to repair and then send back. I might be picky but this is not acceptable. I would have expected a replacement to be shipped immediately as I sent them the broken monitor. This is the process that I expect having dealt with so many other manufacturers over the years. I will no longer purchase any products from ACER.

I ended up returning this monitor because of a couple stick pixels, and the fact that no Matter what calibration I tried the colors were always washed out.

I am an average user not a gamer. I do a lot of photo editing. This monitor is a nice screen size, but it has a hazy look. Using HDMI cable so maybe that has something to do with the appearance on the screen. It has adjustable height & the monitor shifts to vertical position if needed. If you are looking for a monitor with built in speakers, keep looking. Sound is very soft even when the volume is turned up to the max. Sounds appear to be coming out of a bucket. Got a good deal or I would return.
