I had been on the market for a while since my HP decided to fail on me only after a few months of using it. I had stumbled upon this laptop and I was unsure. It mostly had to do with the fact that I do not know the company as much as other brands. I was amazed that I would get 32 gb of memory and 1tb of ssd for less than other laptops around. My laptop arrived fine. It had no open seem which I hear can be a problem for some. I booted it up and started using it. The webcam is okay. It is not the best but for a laptop that's 1,000+, you would think that they would add something better. The sound is also okay. The speakers are located at the bottom so hearing stuff can be difficult and I often find myself setting the speaker all the way up. The speaker for me isn't a big issue since I mostly use headphones. The laptop has three performances levels which I love very much. It has a performance setting when gaming, a balanced mode, and a quiet mode which is excellent for in-school use since your fans won't be blaring out loud. This is something that is really great for a student like myself. One thing that I would like to add is that the 1tb is separated into two different channels, but you do still get 1tb. Gaming on this is nice and and refreshing. The graphics are really good. If you set the laptop on performance. of course it is going to get loud, but there are always headphones. I love that the laptop has many airways to flow out the hot air. This way you won't be typing on hot keyboards. Overall, a very good laptop for students who game and study. Would give 4.5 stars if I could.

Well, I guess I got lemon in the bunch. Mine arrived with a large open seam between the bottom panel and the keyboard… it exposed the trackpad and ran for several inches – it was impossible to tighten or close shut. (Shipping box and XPG box came completely undamaged.). I would chalk to his up to purely bad luck, except that Toms Hardware received two different review units with the exact same problem. My production date was Oct 2019, as an FYI. Sadly, Best Buy could not exchange it since they were out of stock at the time, otherwise I would have taken another chance, especially given the sale price. A few other not-so-great things before I get to the positives. First, very light-sounding speakers, no bass. I suggest downloading the Soundblaster software from their site. This did improve the sound quality. Also, the drive was oddly partitioned into a C (200gb) and D (800gb). Not sure of the value in doing so with a single SSD, and just makes installing applications more complicated. Last issue for me, but maybe not for the more tech savvy, there wasn’t an easy way to tell if you had the latest drivers/software, since there was no tool to check them, like the big manufacturers have. If there was such a tool, I missed it. While all the drivers and updates are on their website, you have to manually check each one, and for some, I had no idea what they were for (they don’t describe them on the website). Lots of positives though: • Great hardware specs, plus good weight and design, quality build • Nice, bright screen • Loved the per-key RGB lighting and keyboard feel • Wi-fi was really, really fast • Not a big gamer but tried Borderlands 3 on high (let Nvidia software choose the ideal settings) and was getting 90 fps, with no additional tweaking on my part. • Fans do get a bit loud when gaming, but not nearly as loud as the latest Omen 15 that I now own. Totally quiet on the lower settings when just doing normal productivity work. • Battery life was good for me the two days I used it for web activities. I turned down the brightness just a bit more than the battery-saving setting that the XPG software provides and got a solid 6-7 hours. In sum, despite my experience with this laptop, I’d recommend it and just hope you have better luck!

I am literally honestly disappointed I opened up my brand new laptop that I’ve been waiting a week for I get it and not even 10 minutes into turning it on and it updating it gave me the blue screen then the BIOS screen popped up and wanted me to update it. I updated it. After installing everything that I need to install made sure everything was all set it gave me the blue screen multiple times!! Now the pictures that you see are of every single time it has given me the blue screen there are two pictures missing because I didn’t catch them in time but there is no way that a brand new computer that has been released, This month on the 9th should be acting this way I wanted it because of the 3070 graphics I only play a couple of 3-D video games and every time I use it they either crash or give me a blue screen. The last time it gave me a blue screen all I was doing was logging into my email that was it I am over this computer at this point. But when I was on my 3-D games those graphics are fire but I can’t keep using a laptop that keeps giving me a blue screen every time I touch it or even look at it especially for the pride i paid for.

All things considered, this is a great machine. Light weight, fast, great graphics, good memory, SSD hard drive, and a reasonably long battery life. I would say that the 10 hour battery life feature is definitely exaggerated. With almost nothing running, I could get the battery to say about 7-8 hours remaining right after a full charge, but as soon as I turned on YouTube, it dropped to 3 hours left (even though the percentage charge remained the same). I have gotten a solid 3-4 hours on it using normal web browsing and office software, but as soon as I start working on 3D graphics, it drops to less than 2 hours. Still, it's better than my last ASUS ROG with comparable features. This one is a pound and a half lighter and battery is better than my ASUS--even when it was new. Also, the keyboard back-light features are pretty fun to mess around with.

Awesome computer. Very happy with the speed, graphics, screen quality, keyboard feel and sound, and incredible memory capacity. The 15.6" screen is built into a small frame so I actually fit this laptop into a carrying case meant for a 14" laptop -- so I am also very happy with the small footprint. The only thing I would like to see Adata XPG improve is the speakers. I would definitely buy it again; and I will be looking for Adata laptops in the future. Very happy with this purchase.

Needed a laptop for coding and laptop had the best price points with 32 GB of memory, 1 TB SSD, and NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti. My only complaint is that the hard drive is partitioned into two drives with main drive only being 100 GB. The keyboard has a feel of a standard desktop keyboard and backlight helps when coding late at night.

I purchased this for my son, not so much for gaming, but for general usage. He might end up focusing on videos and music. My main goal was having something that would be fast for anything he was going to try and do. I don't think either of us are power users or major gamers... So you should go online and look at all the reviews out there. I did, which is how I picked this one. The Xenia pretty much rocks any of the typical user activities. I found the keyboard to be very responsive and it has a nice feel. The display so far has been excellent and fan/temperature have not been an issue. The fan is relatively quiet as compared to anything else I've had. Again, remember I'm not a major gamer. Overall, it looks nice, works well, and the sale price made it digestible. I expect the speed/RAM/storage is going to allow it to be used for a fair number of years.

We were familiar with Adata for memory, but did not know they branded a complete unit until this one. The specs for this computer are very good including except for price. Once the price came down, it was an easy purchase. The machine has been very fast, showing that the specs matter. It is used for half the time for gaming and half the time for typical computing. The display has been Excellent. The 2 items that are not perfect is the battery life and the fan volume, but both are related to the graphics card. The fans are silent during basic computing but if you put on a game, the fans kick in high gear. Overall this computer has been excellent. If you want to play games and get some work done, this computer is exactly right.

Super fast, great to game on, light weight and everything just feels like quality from the build to the performance. The value in this thing is amazing compared to other brands at a similar price point. I did a lot of comparing and reading reviews and such, if you want an amazing laptop for an amazing price, take a chance on this one. You won't be disappointed. There is no bloatware or clutter pre-loaded onto the computer, just boot it up, do the set up and it's clean / fast.

I'm an IT professional and I love this laptop. Some folks may be confused with the C: and D: drives - you need to install your programs on the D: drive and leave the C: drive for the OS. Change your default 'save to' folders, etc. and you'll be fine. This is extremely fast and boots in about 10 seconds. How refreshing. I wanted 32G of RAM - I don't really need it, but it gives me peace of mind since I do a lot of work in Adobe Master Collection. Rendering large projects is not a problem. I'd recommend this laptop! The only thing I can say is the keyboard took me a while to get used to the feel...migrating from a larger laptop with heavier keys. And I don't mind saying that I love the look of the multi-colored keyboard backlighting. It's just really cool! Love, love, love it! You won't go wrong if you decide to purchase. BTW - I don't do games, so I can't speak to that aspect.

Pros: It's fast, light, and has a decent battery life. In comparison to other laptops within the same price range, this computer has better specs. It is a very good computer and I'd buy it again. Lol, gta V, photoshop, and Corel draw ran smoothly. No lag whatsoever. Also, is very comfortable to type. It doesn't hurt my wrists like MacBooks do. Cons: The webcam has a very low resolution. My $300 laptop has a way better camera. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop which makes you almost always need to use headphones. The screem is like a Samsung phone screen. The screen has more saturation than what I am used to. Some people rather the iPhone screen, so might not be a con. I got used to it. I was looking for a laptop that I could play games and use it for school. So I needed something light, with a large memory and a decent graphics card. This computer fulfills my needs. But the camera and speakers issues are major cons. If wasn't that though, the laptop would be perfect, specially considering the price.

So I will try to keep this short. While you may or may not know the brand of this laptop, it is the same unit that a lot of the custom laptop shops use to build their laptops. There are multiple reviews on these units from people that run multiple tests etc. This model is highly recommended, so do not be put off if you do not know the brand. A couple of small things I did not see when I purchased mine. The laptop came with a Steam code for Insurgency I believe it was, it is a first person shooter it seems though I don't play those. It also came with a very large custom pad, I will call it a mouse pad but its pretty large for one, maybe its the style now. The laptop meets or exceeds all my expectations, it is fast, it runs cool, a very nice display for the money, its easy to remove the bottom to get to the user changeable parts. It comes with a ton of ram, a very large m.2 ssd, and there is an empty slot for a second m.2 ssd if you are so inclined. With a very nice build quality and quality parts inside this is a very nice laptop. If you pick it up on one of the sales they have had on it, its a steal.

I bought this when my grandson was visiting this summer. I am not a big time gamer, but he is. It performed extremely well, and he put it thru some AAA games. Zero lag, high frame rates, and a higher screen refresh rate, all made him real happy. I definitely recommend this, when on sale, of course. These kind of specs. at this price($1199.99) is a great deal at current market pricing on gaming laptops. Thank you Best Buy.

So far this laptop has exceeded expectations. I am using primarily for photo and video editing and it's a huge upgrade in speed from my previous computer. Programs load quickly and photos/video are rendered much faster than I was used to on my old laptop. This makes editing work a lot less tedious. If you're used to a regular laptop keyboard, this one takes a little getting used to as they keys are closer together. I also recommend using an external mouse as the touch pad is good but not great. I tested the waters briefly with online gaming, and it was smooth and responsive. I'm very happy with the specs I got with this machine vs. the cost when compared to similar models. Tip: The hard drive comes partitioned and the main drive (C) only has 100 GB on it. The rest of the 1TB SSD is partitioned as drive D. This is fine, but when you start installing new software and saving images, it automatically prompts you to do so on drive C. The drive filled up pretty quickly on me and it took a minute to realize there was a drive D and I should be saving my work there. Not a negative, just a watch out.

I love the performance of this laptop! Super fast, pretty lightweight, nicely sized but A DISASTER RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!!! I couldn't complete the initial startup. When it went to connect to the internet, I chose my WiFi ssid and entered the password correctly. The laptop then connected to my network but told me there was NO INTERNET!!! I finally discovered that the system had not installed/configured IPv4!!! So of course it couldn't connect to my Xfinity cable modem! I had to install IPv4 manually, then complete initial setup. How do you sell a computer without installing IPv4? Maybe in 5 years we'll migrate to IPv6, but certainly not NOW!! Naturally BestBuy customer support was useless! All they could suggest was return it to a store for exchange!

I was looking for something that could play double a rated games and this pc was it. Its light weight as long as its plugged in all the games play great no lag or have to compromise my settings to low. The keyboard took no time to get use to and coloring on it looks very nice. I mean i think if you really want to find something wring with this pc i guess itd be the fans making noise but any gaming laptop its honestly impossible for the fans to be silent because of all the hardware underneath. Maybe the speakers built in could be better but i use my headphones all the time anyways so i dont see how the speaks reall matter overall its wroth the price tag and im glad i purchased it you should to if your on the verge of buying it but if you have bigger bugget id suggest just buying a new gaming pc no laptop can really compete with that but for the 1200 i payed definitely got my money out of it have nice day

For off the shelf, retail laptops, this one is a leader in several of the specs: most importantly the Ram. Adata is also a reputable memory manufacturer. So you can trust the quality of the ram and sad. The computer boots in moments. I've played two games with it: Planetfall and Amazon's New World (preview). It whirls through those without the slightest blink. Loading times were especially fast. Two things about the form factor: it's only 4 pounds and the power cord plugs into the back instead of a side. Both of those things are nice! All in all, very pleased.

Initially delivered a damaged laptop where the bottom was opened a little. Local BestBuy store helped me exchange it with a proper one. This laptop is light weight and low price compared to other laptops with the same specifications. Boots up quickly. Screen resolution is as expected. Performance is good. It has 3 levels of performance settings that we can set as needed. Liked the back-lit keyboard offering multiple dynamic colors. Audio quality is not that great and when on peak performance the fan air sounds a bit more, it doesn't bother me anyways as that's not my priority. Overall I am ok with this laptop.
