I did purchase the altec lansing - Boom Jacket li lmw579 Portable Bluetooth Speaker as a gift for my significant other. He seems to be very happy with his gift!! We both really enjoy the sound quality...and we will get to try out the waterproofness (smiling) when we head out on vacation.

This is awesome when it comes to sound and holding a charge. It's very sturdy. The worst thing about this speaker is the charging port. I had bought the same speaker, but the charging port broke. You have to be SUPER careful when removing the charger.

I use it to listen to music when working in the garden or just lounging on the deck (iPhone + Spotify + Boom JAcket 2). So far I've had no audio quality or battery life problems. I got this for about $85 so more than 50% off. Can't argue with that price.

My daughter in college loves this speaker. it is easy to use and syncs well with her I-Phone. The sound is crisp and clear. The max sound is loud enough for a room to hear clearly. It is water proof and I am considering buying one for myself when I am outside with the BBQ.

Love it. I use it everyday and have had no issues in the year I’ve owned it. Mostly used as a shower speaker, but I’ve had it all over my apartment and have no complaints. Solid battery life, good sound, no complaints!

Love the sound. Used this indoors and out. Going to the beach this next month. Looking forward to having full sound wherever we go. Construction is very durable. Bluetooth connect is dependable every time. Front and back sound fills in nicely. Great speaker.

The sound is great on this Bluetooth speaker and very easy to use. I bought it to use by our pool this summer but have been enjoying the sound inside right now. Bought it because it’s waterproof and so I can have music when we are in the pool.

Good volume, the battery life is awesome, haven't tried it floating in the water but did take it in the canoe on a float. The people floating with me had no problem hearing the music and when your phone battery gets low you can recharge off of the speaker

Amazing sound for it's size. The Boom Jacket hooked right up to my Echo Dot. I love how it turns itself off if not being used to save the battery charge. I have had this for a few months, I don't play music that often but when I do... WOW...Love it..!!

I bought this over two years ago. Battery still holds great. I’m not an audiophile, but I think it sounds good. Bought to take outdoors camping and on kayaking trips. The fact that it floats is a huge plus!

This small speaker packs a big sound! It is easy to take places and the sound quality is great. I purchased a 2nd one that links with the first for music in 2 areas and make is surround sound. Its also waterproof for pool and beach!

So far we have not tried to use it at the beach (winter!) but I am confident the float/water proof/sand proof will not dissapoint. The sound quality is great, ive listened to it in the car and it fills my large car as well as a bose sound system. It is slightly heavy. but nothing I can't deal with!

This speaker is great! It's extremely loud and has a crisp sound since it's a branch of JBL so you know it's of good quality. As of water proof my girlfriend spilled water all over it and it was if like water never landed on it. The speaker still works great but I have yet to put it fully in water. I highly recommend it for the beach since it is also sand proof. Overall great speaker

I purchased this after reading several positive reviews online. I've been pleased so far with the sound and even more so with the battery life. I've used it a coupe of times while working in the yard and its lasted the entire time. I would certainly recommend for the price.

Bought this solely to attach to the cross member inside my side-by-side. Works great but I need another one because it's perfect by the pool and to take camping. Left it out in a rain storm and it fired right up the next day with no problems. You don't need your phone to scroll thru your playlist, the buttons on the device are already setup to do that remotely. Also charged my iPad with this thing while hiking in Colorado. The folks who made this thought of almost everything, just wish the charge cord used the same as the iPhone. Other than that I have yet to find a fault. Bought this for myself for Father's Day. Asking Santa for a second one. Would have given it 4.5 stars but that wasn't an option. A little more bass would have earned it a five star review.

This is the second Altec speaker we own. They have made some great improvements to the functionality of the speaker. The sound is awesome!!!! You can take these things anywhere and not worry about it getting ruined from sand or water.

I was looking for a decent speaker to use with my phone. This has excellent sound with a good range and clarity. It was also very easy to set up with Bluetooth. A great speaker with ample volume for the price.

Good sound quality! Battery life is good. Volume works great indoors and good in a outdoor setting as long as your close or there is minimal back ground noises! Super easy to setup and use! The coolest thing is we haven't even used it to its ability or all of its features.

I like this speaker because of its durability and sound. I was hoping I would actually still be able to hear it when in the water, but I guess that's asking too much :) On the plus side, it does float! I was a little worried about testing that, but it does.

Not a lot of depth to the sound of this speaker but I mainly use it with a blue tooth adapter from my TV so I can hear it from across the room without blasting it so my son doesn't hear it when he is sleeping. Very durable, great battery life and super easy to use
