Before buying this I read some reviews, so I knew of the performance before I bought it. The reason I bought it was so I had something I could play a certain game that is only available on-line but the operating system of this tablet isn't compatible with the game, big let down, back to playing on the iPod with it's tiny screen. With-in the last couple of weeks the tablet got extremely slow and would load things I never clicked on, videos, websites. So I decided to fix it so it wouldn't do it again. The best thing about it was the twenty five dollar cost for it.

Screen froze after the first day of using it. I should have bought a Galaxy tablet

Purchased to play specific music app that Alexa or other home devices can't get. Plays music for short period of time then contently interrupted by ads and screen ads. Has the 8gb of memory but has so many amazon apps already installed it takes up most of the memory. Installed a 64gb external SD and still has trouble with memory storage. Also, it keeps closing music apps occasionally and restarts frequently. Not recommended for everyday use.

I gave this a 1 star because there was no option for Zero! The tablet runs slow, is glitchy, and not user friendly at all!! I have never purchased an Amazon product and was unaware that you could not download normal apps like Vudu, YouTube kids, or even a real version of YouTube. Extremely disappointed!! I will be returning this item and will not consider another amazon product in the future.

You can't expect much from a tablet you only pay $49 for and you're not disappointed. It is slow, the screen is fuzzy and...did I say it was slow? If all you want to do is read boks you have purchased from the Amazon store, trhen buy it. Otherwise, stay away and spend the money for an iPad Mini. No comparison...

I bought this as my first tablet and what a mistake I made! Everyone I know had a kindle so I bought this but have had nothing but frustration with it. Save your money and just get a better tablet, my daughters leap frog epic works better than a kindle and it only costs 28$. The unlock screen is a joke, I dont have a code set but sit there swiping the screen a good 15 times before it finally registers its being touched. the amount of ads on this is crazy and makes the whole home screen just look messy. I used it for a few days before just letting my two year old have it as a back up and got myself the iPad Pro which had restored my faith in tablets.

Between 2 of my kids we have gone through at least 5 of these tablets due to issues. The primary issue they both have had is that the tablet stops charging at some point and requires them to hold the charger in the tablet at a specific angle in order for it to charge. I really hate that this tablet has been such a piece of junk because they both spent their own money to purchase them. I hate it that my 9 year old is sad that he spent $53 of his own money on something that didn't even make it 6 months before he needed a replacement and then not even another 6 months before their are more issues. My advice, invest a little more money and get something better.

Let's get this straight, I love Amazon, but this product sucks , amazon failed with this one imo. Firstly, they hotrod a advertising engine on your boot screen that makes the tablet slow , then to top it off they add a bunch of crap you don't need and can't remove... huge fail

Dont like the advertisement, I dont like the set up. Dont like that I can uninstall or hide factory installed apps. Super slow to load everything. Bought these for my kids n they still prefer my phone

not worth it for me. extremely slow, I got frustrated with it. I would save my money and get something a little more powerful

Got it for my grandma and the app that she wanted wasn’t even on the App Store, plus it’s flooded with amazon apps that you can’t remove and annoying ads.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She had no computer experience and I did not know if she would use it. She loves it and it is easy for a beginner to use.

Ads on every corner of the tablet. Horrible processor. Simply scrolling the apps makes it lag. Dont bother trying any games. Very disappointed.

This is the third tablet I purchased for my toddler. It doesn’t hold a charge. I will not purchase any more amazon tablets! You get what you pay for !

I bought this for our seven year old and it's just not the right tablet for him. Not enough memory for the handful of games he likes to play. I returned it.

I bought this tablet as a spare tablet for traveling to questionable destinations. I think it is too slow. Also, I hate the stupid advertisements!!!!!!!

I purchased this unit as a gift, with the sole purpose for my 86 year old mother in law to video chat with to her daughter. The volume is too low on both Messenger and Skyp. Best Buy had a 15 day return policy, I hadn't tried to use the tablet until after I gave it to her, so I was past my 15 days. I contacted Amazon and they replaced the unit. Second unit had the same problem. Amazon said I needed to return it to Best Buy for a refund…past my 15 days and now it’s not the unit they sold me. So if you don't need to use video chat this unit may work for you.

I bought this just to have another tablet to keep at work for trading stocks. Too slow to even work a single app.

I bought it as present for my daughter but this thing battery life is not good at all, and the recharging time is a pain.

Great price...hate the selection of apps and I actually like the first generation kindle better.
