I'm one who likes a good scary movie. Seems that genre is getting harder and harder to find these days. Annabelle is a spin off movie and character doll from the Conjuring series. Even though I didn't much care for the Conjuring, I found myself intrigued to watch this movie about a Evil looking doll . Well turns out the doll wasn't in much of the movie, rather a evil entity / ghost figure, that well to be honest....we seen a hundred times in other movies before. Annabelle is not a bad movie, it's just nothing new. Sound effects and noises heard through surround speakers is just about the high points in the scare factor.

This film is very average for a horror film. The main demon possessing the doll looks frightening and packs a good punch, but the overall story is pretty lackluster. Expected more coming from the minds of The Conjuring universe. Would only recommend to get the full story of Annabelle/Conjuring.

It was good, but it was a little weird with the satanism. It was almost like they were trying to go too much into Child's Play's territory. But it's creepy, and the ending was very good despite not being terribly truthful to the true story of it.

My grilfrind cardil hated to see this movie by herself my last gril i watched this movie wit said the same but i luv bring my grilfriends over to watch this movie.

...under scary...the doll is major, but so obviously "creepy" ya' kinda can't understand why anyone covets it and/or would be stupid enough to buy it and have it sitting around. The ending is so hokey, well, the doll's the thing, not the movie itself. You can't take your eyes off the doll! But, a doll does not a movie make, unless it's Chucky!

After watching (and being so impressed with) The Conjuring, I was excited to put this prequel in next. Unfortunately, that excitement was short lived. The movie was predictable and broke the "rules" set by The Conjuring. Annabelle wasn't a horrible movie, but I think I had the bar set too high and was expecting too much from it.

Good movie with a new awesome lenticular slipcover. Needed it to own with all the other Conjuring universe slipcovers. Worth rebuying plus you get movie money for IT Chapter 2 included with it so it pays for the movie almost.

Not much to keep one going and interested with this chapter. Lot's of references to other films for horror movie fans if you clue into them. But it's kind of slow and boring for the most part. I enjoyed part 2 better myself.

I found it okay for a bit of history about where this Anabelle doll came from in the Conjuring movie. However, it does not give us a full explanation as to how it ended up in the private collection of the exorcist couple. In addition, I didn't find it as scary as The Conjuring.

The discs were fine, but there was a hole on the cover when it arrived. I will keep it though. Just a little disappointed.

Annabelle isn't my favorite character in the series, but the film does have some merit. And if you like creepy possessed dolls, definitely check this out.

this movie is more suspense than horror. its the foundation for the Conjuring and the Conjuring 2. it would be a very bad situation to be in in real life. if you like to be held captive in your seats with fear this is a good one to watch.

This movie is a scary movie to watch if you have no others to watch, or if it's on Netflix. I bought this on sale so I'm not to displeased. I'm hoping the second one will be better. I love the idea and that it's based off a "true story".

It is an alright horror film. It isn't anything that should win any awards but does give you a creepy vibe. The dead eyes is a killer if you are easily scared. Far from a classic, but if you want a quick horror fix then this would easily be a pick for you.

Was expecting an atmospheric horror film that relied on creeping me out, was disappointed. More of an in your face horror movie than a something is hiding under the bed horror. More shock than scare. Forget the Conjuring and you might like this

This movie is decent......goes to telling where and how Annabelle came to be. Nowhere near status of original movie, but can't wait for the next installment. Hope they get back to the original and wow us with unexpected events.

This movie was good. Not The Conjuring good, but a decent spin-off. The story was great along with the acting. I just wished part two was as good *spoilers*.

The original in the franchise. Kind of like Rosemary’s baby where you don’t see a lot of why is happening but still frightening.

This one was a little slow in the beginning and was not scary but it's a must have if you are getting 2 and 3. The case is great too!

This movie had my hopes up, but in the end it was alright plenty of story, with sum jumps and fights here and there. I just felt like it didn't really live up to the conjuring but it's a solid movie
