The battery is non-replaceable so this item is very disposable. If you want to monitor the battery status via computer no can do. I bought just to keep the lights on for an hour or two and to keep the routers going. APC is getting cheaper and cheaper.

This is the first APC product I purchased to find out it is designed to have a non-replaceable battery, something I didn’t realize when I bought it. Less than 2 years later and the battery was dead. A bit disappointed as I would typically get 3 years use before needing replacement. A quick web search shows how to replace the battery. All that’s needed is a thin, long Phillips screwdriver to take apart the case. A bit of a waste if you throw it away when the battery goes.

Yes the battery is considered non-replaceable but the unit would come with a 3 year warranty on it that would start on the purchase date. The factory warranty would cover the battery as well.
