Ever couple of days it would start flashing red and green when I started my system. I would have to turn it off and back on to get it to stop. Soon after every couple of days became every day so I had no choice but to replace it.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our BN450M. Usually when the LED on the UPS flashing between green and red it means that the battery is disconnected. If you still have the UPS I would try making sure the battery connection is secure on the bottom of the UPS. You may want to try to pull the battery connection out and reinsert it. This did not do what I was hoping. Good as a back up for 20-30 mins only. Returned because it wasn't what i was looking for. The customer service employee wasn't sure during the original purchase.

UPS Not holding charge

Manufacturer has me confused
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't tell you how many APC UPS' I've purchased in the last 20 years but enough to be shocked after unboxing this "UPS" to find it has no mechanism whatsoever to shutdown a PC gracefully. This product at Best Buy's sits right next to a slightly larger model, the 650 yet the manufacturer gives no indication that one protects computers while this model must not be intended to. Although this will do the trick if the power goes out only briefly, it really serves no purpose for a longer power outage. I see no use case for this device. It's basically just a surge protector and should be marketed as such. I do not recommend purchasing this model.

This unit is designed to connect to small equipment like a router and modem so the data connection to provide a graceful shutdown wasn't added to it. If you do need this feature you could go up to our BN650M1 which would have the feature the data connection that would allow you gracefully shutdown the computer during a power outage.

Stay Connected When Power Goes Out

With more people working from home, it is important that your Internet connection stay on when power fails. This UPS has you covered. Plug in your modem and router and get up to 2.3 hours of battery time keeping you online and working. The UPS is relatively small and has 6 plugs (4 battery back-up and 2 just surge protectors). Overall, a must have in the connected world we live and work in.

Still, I don't like that there doesn't seem to be a way to replace the battery, unlike the larger APC models.

Not sure it’s working

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I am sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with our unit. It is likely the extra printer caused the UPS to become overloaded since this unit would only support 255 watts of equipment connected to it. Depending on the type of printer they can draw quite a bit of power which is why we don't recommend connecting the printer too our UPSs. If you can I would either remove the original printer from the UPS or I would at least move it to the surge only outlet. Cannot replace battery

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I apologize that the battery is not replaceable in the UPS. On the smaller units like this one it is usually more cost effective to replace the entire UPS compared to just the internal battery. On positive side to this is the new UPS would come with a 3 year manufactures warranty while the internal battery would only come with a 1 year factory warranty. If you are interested in having an UPS that has a replaceable battery you can check out our BE600M1.
