I had a few power flickers before purchasing this unit and my data was lost. Now, with this APC Back UPS Pro, I have no issues with power loss. Recently, the power went out for a few minutes. I did pay my bill. During the power outage my computer and monitor did not skip a beat. My router is in another room and I will be placing a battery backup unit on my router. This is a must buy for any computer user.

Great product! Careful with the red wire.

The idea of connecting the red wire is a bit on the vague side (don't try to remove the plastic red tab, just slide the wire connection in place), but other than that, awesome product. Definitely keeps your mind at eases when you're busy working and you hear that sudden clap of lightning.

The app provides good information as to last day the battery backup kicked in, the amount of electricity used, if more equipment can be supported by the backup, etc

Great for my fish tank light power issues.

It has saved my from power outages a few time since I bought it a few weeks ago. The light is only a 36 inch LED array, so the power draw isn’t enormous. But it has also saved the light from resetting during power fluctuations.
