    If you live in an area where you get occasional power outages, then this item is essential. I keep the wifi plugged into this and I get a few hours of extra internet whenever the power goes out. Also, it protects your devices from all the dang power surges.

    This is an excellent unit. Very clear screen lets you know the current incoming voltage and battery strength given the load it has. Lots of receptacles to use. I only use one to plug in a multi port extension to the back of my desk. This time I did not connect it to my computer, so I can't report on that aspect of operation.

    Clear instructions for initial setup. Had one power outage so a real test/situation. Only had the router and modem plugged in for a short time; kept us connected long enough to send necessary emails with power to spare. Would be nice if there wasn't a constant draw on the battery if nothing was connected.

    I purchased this unit to replace an older APC 500 that finally died after years of service. It is working very well. The transfer from AC power to battery back-up is quick with no noticeable delay. I like the battery charge indicator feature the previous unit did not have.
