I think this is a great tablet. the portability is fantastic, after purchasing, i now wish i would have got the 3g since i need to purchase a package with my iphone to set up a mobile hotspot (att doesn't allow me to use the unlimited data package with mobile hot spot). The screen is great, not need for retina display unless viewing the two models side by side! my biggest complaint is more with the applications than the device itself. several applications that have been purchased for the iphone require repurchasing on the ipad (different formatted apps). overall, i love the ipad, it was a great purchase, I will consider purchasing a second so my wife and i each have one to ourselves.

Actually I purchased this iPad 2 during Best Buy's door buster deals on Black Friday, so it was an excellent price, for my wife's Christmas present. She loves it. We purchased a case for it and she now takes it with her. She can read her emails, listen to music at the same time and has already downloaded 15 free books from iBooks. Plus she has found apps for locating great movies. Like they say, whatever you may want, there is an app for that. She is still learning, but so far she loves it. I myself work in I.T. and support I.T. as a profession. On the about me, I will enter my wife's information, since she is the one actually using the iPad 2.

So happy I got this before my iPhone. They are very similar . Love to take it with me in the chair or bed, so lightweight. Play games on it, Facebook, look at flyers for stores, send emails, and surf the web. I do not have a lot of computer skills and when I first got it I struggled trying to figure out how to use it. My husband and friends helped me to use it and then I also bought a book showing how to use it. the iPad is the reason that I finally got rid of my old flip phone and got an iPhone. I love the "speak" feature and suri on the iPad and phones. what a great invention. definitely the best gift I have ever received.

iPad 2 has been around for 2+ years and there are newer versions with a faster CPU, better cameras, and higher res retina display, but for the great majority of apps and normal use it's indistinguishable from the later version, and available at a slightly lower price. Picked up this 16GB wifi-only iPad 2 and it's everything I needed. Great battery life, bright crisp display, and far more apps than comparable Android tablets.

My wife has never used any type of computer or tablet. She used to call them "those things". She picked up how to use it very quickly. She's a grandmother who loves to facetime with her grandkids. I don't think I could get it away from her now. It's definitely not one of "those things"!

IPad 2 is great quality and has many features that a grade schooler can use in school. It is user friendly and makes a kid busy with apps and games.

I wanted an iPad for a while now. Finally got a chance to get it when it was on sale at Black Friday. Wasn't sure how much I would use it but I use it all the time. Can't really go wrong with an apple product. I'm just starting to use the pages app for flyers and such and I'm pretty impressed. I love that all my apps are available. The only thing I wish iPads had are an SD slot for more storage. It would be nice to have more storage without buying a more GB iPad. Above all I'm very satisfied with my purchase at Best Buy!

Bought this for my wife's 88-year old mother as a replacement for an old PC and dial-up internet. It's the 2nd we've purchased (1st one was a Christmas gift for my wife) and both have been easy to set up and use. My wife's mother loves the games and the email but it's taking some time for her to learn to type with two fingers, as you can't touch-type on the on-screen keyboard (too sensitive---just resting your fingers on the keys adds a string of characters. Battery life and screen brightness are good.

The Apple iPad is awesome. I compared it to every tablet in our area and none of them had all the features I liked accept this one. We bought this iPad for my 86 year old father-in-law who dearly loves it. He reads 2 newspapers with it, checks his stock everyday, orders medication and reads magazines. We now have 4 in our family.

Got my iPad 2 during Black Friday. Paid $299 for it and then got a price match for $279. Looked at the iPad Air. I went with the iPad 2 because the only major differences between the two being Air a little faster, thinner, lighter and supports Siri, we're not enough to justify another $200 to $300. Also, I couldn't see any difference in screen quality between the iPad 2 screen and the Air's retina display. iPad 2 does everything I need and want in a tablet for a fantastic price!

I have been using iPads since the second generation came out and recommend it to all my friends and family. Great for media 'consumption'...watching movies, playing music on my wireless speakers, surfing the web, etc. It is so convenient compared to booting up my laptop to do these things. It doesn't replace the laptop for business apps (MS Office) but everything else can be done very well on the iPad. Will definately buy another when the time comes.

Great tablet. Should have purchased a 32 GB version. I recommend at least a 32 GB to start with. Almost never on any of my computers or laptops anymore since this goes with me everywhere.

I like my iPad and am slowly learning to use it. I am having a hard time learning how to get apps but as I get more it will become easier. Since several family members have iPads I love the face FaceTime feature I found it easy to use and talk and see my family without any problem. The price was great I got it after Black Friday from best buy on line site. Shipping was the only option and it took a long time to receive it.

I use this tablet primarily at home, it's good for email, YouTube, games, great to give the kids for a distraction. A fun toy for me, my only negatives are the weight and the price.

My 90-year-old mother was missing her old PC which was constantly on the fritz. While I tried to get the PC running again, I loaned my iPad to my mom for a few hours. I showed her how to surf the net and downloaded a solitaire app for her. When I asked for it back, her response was, "Can't I keep it?" She wouldn't let me go home until I went over to Best Buy and picked a new one up for her. Best Buy service was great and the iPad setup was so easy, mom was ready to start learning in less than an hour. (That includes purchase and driving to BB and back). Even at her age, she noticed that the newer display was sharper than mine. Since then, she's looked up family and friends, played games, sent her teenage granddaughters iMessages with a photo of her dog attached, and set it up to check out ebooks from the library. And I swear her memory has improved just from being so engaged with all of the activities the iPad has to offer. Every time I visit, she wants me to show her how to try something new--at 90. Great purchase!

Picked this up over Black Friday for $299 and you just can't beat the amount of features, ease of use, and reliability from this Apple product. I know there are updated versions of the iPad out there right now but if you can get this one on sale and haven't had your eyes spoiled with one of the retina display models you will be perfectly content with the iPad 2 as your tablet.

This is so much better than carrying a laptop. Apple software is so easy to use. I will never use Windows 8.0 or 8.1 or whatever number they call their new confusing software. I took back a laptop I bought that had the new Windows software on it.

The IPad 2 is fantastic. I use it instead of an actual computer. It does not limit me to an actual office or have me tethered to outlets. It allows me to do all my research, play games, do Facebook, FaceTime my grandchildren, and print out documents. The camera is great and picture storage is wonderful.

This is my second tablet. My first tablet was an Acer that a Best Buy associate convinced me to purchase while browsing for a laptop for school. Needless to say, I returned the tablet after 3 days and purchased a laptop. I have heard nothing but rave reviews out of IPad owners and I was interested in purchasing one for myself. After the first experience that I had with the Acer tablet I was unsure as to whether or not I could get used to a tablet. Fortunately, I am surprised to say that I adore this table. It is the perfect size and shape, loads web pages quickly and is super user friendly. My children (ages 7 & 2) are able a to use and enjoy it as well. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is the camera. It takes grainy pictures. It is not an issue for me though, because I can use my iPhone or digital camera for pictures.

Bought this iPad2 for my dads birthday and he LOVES it! It's easy for just about any age to use. My four year old seems to be teaching me new things about ours! He loves to play learning games and take pictures of his little sister. :) great gift for anyone! A little pricey, but worth the money!
