If you are going to buy an upgraded internet package, you need a modem that can handle the load you purchased. Most modem's you rent from cable providers cannot handle a full household of streaming internet devices. But, the Motorola Surfboard can! I have been using this product for a year, and have zero complaints. We have been able to stream up to 5 devices with no buffering. We could probably do more if we had additional devices to use.

Great to have a product where I don't have to pay my cable company to rent their modem (on top of also not supporting the speed I was paying for). This all in one modem and wifi router is really nice to not only cut down on the number of hardware pieces of equipment, but the product was easy to set up and directions were easy to follow. Product has worked well and have no complaints.

Purchased this to replace my Charter owned cable modem. I was able to get rid of both the modem and router to replace it with this one. Don't see a big difference in bandwidth. About the same service. Cost was $219 to replace a free unit and a $79 router. About the size of an Xbox360 console. Kind of wanted a shorter unit. Nice to get rid of the extra cables. Lots of features that I do not use. For basic cable modem use not sure if it was economical to spend this much money.

It was super easy to install works fantastic I have two gaming grandkids one gaming son and I can still use my computer at lightning speed

This Modem w Wireless router is amazing.. I have tried many devices, but every time I have trouble with the speed of the Internet... Finally, I have now a high speed internet on all of the 6 devices that are connected to the router, including my smart tv... Plus, my office is really organized now with having one device ONLY and one wire ONLY instead of 2 devices and many wires connected as I had before :( All what I can say, go for it and buy it if you wanna enjoy high speed internet on all your devices :)

I am currently living in an apartment complex and I was having problems with my old dual band router because the 2.5 signal was overcrowded even with changing to different channels, I have a dual band router however my wireless printer only supports the 2.5 range which is difficult because I have to manually change bands every time I have to use it. Now with this new modem which connects to the 2.5 and 5 bands simultaneously, I have no more difficulty with connecting multiple devices without compromising the speed of the connection. Setting up the modem however is not for beginners, but is fairly doable if you read the manuals. the device is a bit bulky and barely fit in my device compartment, I wish they would have a black option so it would blend well with the electronics beside it (consoles and cable box/dvr)

It's a smart new router tht meets the requirements and as discribed, I use it for time warner internet and till the moment it has good range stable signal and working perfect, disadvantage couldn't find it in different color and it has a big size but that's not a big deal

It is very fast. You can have duel channels which works great. Easy to set up! It makes my gaming and HD streaming great.

I bought this because I was tired of renting from a cable company. It is stellar, performance is great. I'm so glad I purchased it. I love everything about it. Five computers work with no problems, no downtime, it is fast. So easy to use! Buy it you won't regret it.

It was easy to set up and I noticed a speed improvement over my old modem. Was also able to replace my old wireless router.

set up was simply plugging it in and calling your internet provider, worked perfectly right away. great speeds, good range.

Easy setup with my cable provider. Setting up the modem and other settings were straightforward easy enough for a novice. But I have been getting weird problem with the wifi portion. Every so often, like three times a week, the modem won't allow me to a browser. I pick a site to go to, but it won't go. So I turn off the Mac's wifi and back on and then the browser works well from then on. I don't know why it does that. Thanks.

The performance of the Motorola Surfboard Extreme has been exceptional. For those that have had issues reconnecting these devices separately, for example when passwords need to be changed, this model eliminates this onerous and time consuming process since both devices are combined in the same frame. One challenge I would raise to prospective buyers is the ability to set parental controls is a bit limited when compared to other brands.

This is very easy to install and compatible with Comcast and has greatly increased the speed of my internet connection.

Easy to install - excellent upgrade from earlier version of surfboard. Download speed test shows consistent 50+ MBPS.

I like the security settings and the 5ghz speed. It is compatible with most cable companies. My first one like this died within 1yr 1/2. I went with other modems and found them to drop connections before this one ever did. Seems like there has been improvements made to this model since we've bought our first one.

I would highly recommend this router/modem combo. While it is expensive, it works very well and was easy to set up.
