This movie is a Claustrophobic joy ride! I had a lot of fun watching it. If you enjoyed The Descent, you'll probably like this movie.

On the heels of the abundance of found footage films that have saturated the market this one always stood out to me, so I was glad when I could finally pick it up on bluray as for years it was only available on dvd until this "re-release." Amazing , claustrophobic, tense film with great acting and characters you actually care about. Great found footage usage, and an amazing ending. Highly recommended.

This is one hell’uva (pun intended) movie between the strong plot and that it bases some of the creepy footage off of the real Paris Catacombs and the grim nature of the mysterious occurrences that have gone unsolved. The plot is not the only part of the movie that was good; the never-before-seen cast members actually surprise the audience with their ability to show genuine fear for such extended durations of the movie. It is also evident that the characters in the movie were created with passion and delicacy. The audience almost becomes inspired seeing that regardless of who or what tries to stop Scarlett and George, they maintain an impeccable level of determination to do what is needed and still care for each other at the same time. Finally, the depth of the script itself and the thought process that had to occur before the writing itself must have been intense because there was a significant arousal of idealism within the audience. Despite some of the bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, this movie gets a 5/5 rating from me.

Underrated thriller is more fantasy based than horror. Still an interesting journey of a group of people who descend into the Paris underground labyrinth in search of ancient treasure and get more than they bargain for. One knock is that it is a found footage movie which I don't like and it's still rather annoying here. The film would have been much better as a straightforward story.

While this movie is another in a long line of movies shot from a POV camera shot (think Blair Witch Project), this was at least a little bit different take in that they went down into the catacombs of Paris for the story. I'd say it was a little bit better then most in this genre at least... not that it probably scared that many people but it was entertaining.

Heard mixed reviews on the film so I decided to check it out. Starts off pretty quickly and really does well holding the audiences attention. I couldn't wait to see what the heck is going to happen next! The ending paid off for me. The story works I didn't mind the found footage aspect. Few jumps and scares over audio and picture are grat on this disc.

Movie was excellent. The audio format chosen fit the movie. Incredible cave in scenes that almost caved in my house with the rumble. many scenes that send chills down your spine and make you jump. The ending like many movies had a bit to be desired. But after thinking about what better way to get out of hell and expect from the rest of the world.

Hmmm, my first review didn't appear, so this is a re-write of sorts. This is told witih that "found footage" style, where one of the group is recording for posterity sake (normally not a huge fan of that style). This had some really clever twists in it and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Overall, pretty good filmaking.

This can be a big hit or miss with fans of The Divine Comedy. This is basically a rip-off of that. But I mean that I a good way. While this may not be anywhere near as good as The Divine Comedy, it is still a pretty good watch. Worth the money I spent to add it to my collection.

Very cool and intense as well as claustrophobic! Better than average found footage horror movie, the characters are basically going deep in the Earth until they get to Hell.

If you look at this as a genre piece, there's a lot to recommend it. Is it new, so-to-speak? No, but it's executed very well, with a few big surprises. The end is a shock that works--again, for the genre. Not the best horror film I've seen all year, but one of the better attempts to freak us out!

Very creepy, most movies nowadays are not even a little scary but this one is different, sure most of it is c*"p but it has it's moments I would highly recommend it if you like this kind of horror. It's kind of like a bloody groundhogs day, it goes around in circles

This is my favorite suspenseful thriller. It may not be branded that way, but that is my take away. Twisted and dark, if that is your thing, watch this. The disc comes in a case, plays in blu ray player!

As Above So Below is an average horror film, but what pushes it into that realm is the back story. Most horror films are just, kids show up, kids die. This story has more going for it, and tries to have some depth and meaning to the events taking place. The catacombs location also makes for some very interesting ideas and situations, plus knowing that place is real kind of makes it a little more haunting. It is a fun movie, but by no means a must own.

Not the best but surely not the worse I've seen. I totally wouldn't mind going through the catacombs. Got the Blu-ray really cheap so it was definitely worth buying...

As above so bellow has a slow start but picks up as soon as the characters enter the tunnels which is where the movie gets eerier and has some great use of the jump scare

Slow beginning, but better second half. Interesting concept but some unanswered questions. Kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.

They say sometimes you can look too far into things best left alone, well, I guess these guys figured it out. Good movie.

This movie is by far not a great movie. Acting is pretty bad and kinda falls into the been there seen that category. That being said it was an ok watch. Don't know if I'll ever watch it again but it is def not the worst movie in this genre so give it a try. I found myself kinda not enjoying it as I thought I would during the movie but hours later started thinking about it more and realized I enjoyed it more than I thought
