Unfortunately, that was not the case. After purchasing and returning 3 different monitors from different stores, I hit upon the idea of getting one that exactly matched the resolution of the old one (which was no longer available). No luck in store, but Best Buy's online site had this Asus, and it works just fine. Quite pleased.

The clarity of the color and the sharp picture made this money well spent. I use it with an older computer to play older games and it's great!

A 19" monitor was the best fit for the space and is the same size as the one that failed. We chose this monitor because it has built in speakers. The speakers however could not be adjusted loud enough to be heard. We have a good clear picture but we had to add external speakers.

Takes only a few minutes to set up from scratch. Very good quality image. It works so well and easily. Very happy I got it. It is easier to use then I expected and the image is better then I expected.

The specifications state that this has one HDMI input, so I thought this would be perfect. Was disappointed to see that when it arrived, it had no HDMI port at all. Now I'm left with nothing for my meeting and a bad opinion of Best Buy.

Although the box does not state, the monitor comes with all the wires needed to connect to a pc or a laptop. It is still too new to comment on the quality.
