I have to say, these are great phones that have an excellent range and good sound quality. The addition of smart screening made our lives so much less stressful. We used to get tons of telemarketing calls every day, but now we never hear from anyone. You have to check your caller ID every now and then to make sure you didn't miss an important call, but for the most part, the feature does its job. My complaint about the screening process is, it'll light the phone up when screening is in process, but it won't show you the caller ID, which is dumb. Other than that, the feature is awesome. The downfall, is the speakerphone. It's absolute crap, sad that it is an AT&T phone, a company that should know all about phones. I can hear the caller fine and dandy on speakerphone, but I always have to be right up at the mic for them to even hear me. I've tried multiple phones out of the 5 set and they all perform the same way. For that, the device gets 3 out of 5 stars. If they fix the speakerphone option, then it would easily be 5/5. If you find it on cheap deal and don't really use speakerphone; buy it!

Multiple handsets are great. Volume on the base is too quiet when the listener is in another room.

    AT&T Phone System Critique

We purchased this AT&T phone system to replace our AT&T phone system. With a manual of over 200 pages we knew we had purchased the wrong system. Charge lights barely show up. Base station/wireless holders lack depth to hold phones.

So I am using this in my small office for the connect to cell option. I have an iPhone XS MAX and the Samsung Note 10+ connected via bluetooth. The connectivity is great with the bluetooth and it connects quickly when i get back to my office. Great status lights to show that they are connected. One of the biggest issues i have is that if you keep the volume up high on the phones and your actual devices, it will feedback so the people that you're talking to will hear themselves and of course complain that they are hearing a lot of background noise. I think the mic's are way to sensitive and should be turned down a little bit. The speaker phones on these phones work well, nice and loud, but again, will cause some feedback where the caller will hear themselves about a half second later. It's also hard to use the phone book on the device itself. You have to scroll, one at a time, through the phone book to finally get to the contact that you're looking for. It would have been a bit nicer to have a list. Now one thing in this phones favor is that when the phone downloads it's phone book, it seperates them by device. So when i go to view contacts it asks me which device i want to view, the iphone or the samsung.. so great that they don't merge them into one big phone book. Overall, the phone is ok. I would rate it really 2.5 stars based on some of the things you have to "get used to" with this device. Keeping in mind that according to the rating here 3 stars is average.

Bought these as replacements for V-Tech cordless phone which were not worth replacing the batteries. These AT&T phone are not as user friendly. Should have stayed with V-Tech.

If you need a home phone but not ready to go mobile exclusively this is what you need. Has Bluetooth but hard to sync to capable device. Leave this complicated task for something more user friendly.

I like the phone. It has the announce button as well as intercom. It can also block possible scam calls. However some of the button mainly in the upper body of the phone are hard to use.

decent sound and function... bluetooth hookup to cellphone is convenient and an improvement on sound, but I way looking for an actual system to handle two in coming phone lines... this does not support that...

I'm really not happy with it because it seems that for some reason I have to dial a number twice before it goes through. Also the person on the other end always has a problem hearing me. Don't get me wrong Best buy has always been good about returning something but I I've always bought the protection plan then I have to pay another 25.00 whenever something doesn't work.

NOt user friendly. It thought it would be easy to save and retrieve calls but it's not. Thought the directory would dial up numbers but you have to scroll thru the directory and then dial it - not automatic. Hard time retrieving the calls. Also deleting them. The answering service is very poor. Do not like the quality of the voice who announces the calls. Hard to understand the voice and who they are announcing is calling.

NOT an easy system to set up! Some buttons are flat with the case and it is easy to press the wrong button. There is not an address-book button, you have to press three buttons to get to a number you have saved. Thinking of returning it.

I purchased these phones as my Panasonic phones had finally died after 15 yrs. At & T is also very funny good. This phone does have a lot of features. Some I don't even use. Main reason why I purchased it because of the blocking. only phone on the market that has 1000 blocking feature.

I was told by Best Buy staff that older ATT phones could be programmed to expand this system. Tried and not possible. Called to discuss and was told BB only contracts to sell phones made in China and could not help me. System says its expandable to 12 phones.

Purchased this to replace an old Panasonic system that was on its last legs. Love the convenience of the expandable units that do not need a phone jack, just an electrical outlet. Very easy to set up the base unit and voicemail system, and playback. Range is very good bot inside and outside the house. Unfortunately, the speakerphones on these units are very bad. Anytime we are on speaker, the other party always says that they can barely hear us or that we are cutting out badly. Once we switch back to the phone itself, they hear us fine.

Takes some getting used to...Like the connect to cell, to cut the phone, but not as intuitive as a previous regular ATT Cordless phone system. Wish it had more options without scrolling thru menus on the handset that are on the base.
