    Disappointed with lack of follow up from Geek...

    The initial set up went well although it took two days and the tech had to come back. He gave me his card and told him to call direct with any questions because we kind of ran out of time while he was showing me the features. Then, he disappeared into thin are. I have called and left two voice messages and sent 2 texts with attachments and questions and he has never responded. Very strange since he was fabulous for the two setup days. Either he is no longer with Geek squad or really let me down big time as I had an emergency issue with a set up issue after he left my house.

    The gentleman in the Brick store was very knowledgeable about the membership and what he was doing to repair my pc. He explained what he was doing and why he had to do it to get my problem solved. I highly recommend the membership to everyone. i have recommended the membership to a few friends and they all feel the same way I do.

    I’ve had the Totaltech membership for a few months now, and it’s been a game-changer. The free 24/7 tech support and extended warranty on most purchases give me real peace of mind. I recently bought a MacBook and had a few questions — their support team was super helpful and patient. Also, getting free delivery and installation on certain items is a big plus. If you shop at Best Buy often or buy electronics regularly, I think it’s totally worth it. It’s like having tech experts on call whenever you need them!

    The Best Buy Total Protection plan has been an excellent value for us over the past few years. We've made several purchases, and having the plan has been incredibly beneficial. Every time we've needed assistance, the service has been prompt, professional, and supportive. The savings and support from Geek Squad alone have made a big difference — we've saved enough money through repairs and services that the plan has more than paid for itself. It's given us real peace of mind knowing our investments are protected. Highly recommend!

    BB Total Tech protection plan

    I wanted the same protection plan i had with my old LG TV SJ8500 series, which was a 5 yr fully covered plan. In the 4th year i wound up having BB come out bc my TV had lines running across the bottom of the screen. Even in the 4th year of the 5 year protection plan they still gave me $750 towards a new tv, which i bought the Sony Bravia Master Series A9G. I got the Sony on a 1 time flash sale for cyber Monday sight unseen, but that TV is Sony's to of the line. The regular price on that 55" tv was $2299 marked down to $1299 minus the $750 they gave me towards my old LG SJ8500 series TV. So I got a great deal overall, but i wanted the same 5 year protection plan like i had on my LG, but instead they gave me this Total Tech Plan, which for the first year they charged me $149.00 and every year thereafter it's another $200. So figure after 5 years that would be about $1000.00 compared to the $299 I could've gotten the 5 yr protection plan like i had, so I'm not too happy about that as they refused to exchange that out for the 5 year protection plan like I had. Totaltech makes sense if you buy a lot of devices from BB, but for me it doesn't make sense as i don't have a family of my own, so i don't have all that many devices to justify paying an extra $1000.00 over 5 years time when you compare that to the $299 total for the 5/yr plan i wanted & just in my old LGSJ8500 series Tv. And that TV the 5 year protection plan was only $199.. Total Tech is great as if you have any issues with any devices on your network, whether or not you bought the items from BB, then BB will still fix it or replace it. Again though, I still kinda feel that it only makes sense if you shop at BB regularly for everything from appliances to tv's to computers, gaming consoles, phones etc etc. At least they're all covered now, instead of just the tv being covered, so hopefully It'll pay for itself over time if i have any issues with any of my other devices.

    New Lenovo Laptop/Best Buy Total Membership

    I purchased a Lenovo Laptop recently. I opted for the Best Buy Total membership. They transferred all of my data from my older laptop that didn't even turn on anymore over to my new Laptop. I asked them to help out on a few more settings and a few programs I wanted loaded. All of my requests were handled professionally and respectfully.

    Best Buy Totaltech is absolutely worth it. The unlimited Geek Squad support, exclusive member pricing, and extended protection plans make it a smart investment. I like the peace of mind knowing I can get help anytime I need it, plus the savings on big purchases add up quickly. Highly recommend if you shop at Best Buy often.

    The biggest negative for this membership in my opinion is that they removed the perk dor free installations, so no more free installations on car electronics, home electronics, or appliances. However depening on how much spend per year at Best Buy the amount of warranties, points banking, discounts, and free shipping pays for itself pretty fast.

    Waiting on a call to reschedule my appointment

    I love the program because I just purchased a home a month ago. I was able to have two televisions, washer machine and security by Ring that I’m waiting to be installed. I have called several times Friday June 9th when it was supposed to be installed. Best Buy not Geek Squad has not contacted me to reschedule as of today Sunday June 11. I did have plans to rate 5 stars but for that reason I’m not fully satisfied.

    Bring back Best Buy TotalTech

    I was fortunate enough to review this membership prior to the membership plans changing. This membership is way better than the new plans being offered. Online it shows that I have a different plan, but after phoning Best Buy, I still have the total tech plan until my one-year expires in May 2024. So unfortunately I have to call or in the store make sure I get the free installation if needed or service. I don’t know if I will purchase one of the new plans when mine expires because they aren’t as good for my money.

    Included AppleCare Membership A No Brainer

    I laughed at the Best Buy totaltech membership when I first learned of it. But when I looked closer and noticed that it in fact includes GENUINE AppleCare with all Apple items purchased, I was sold. It would cost more to buy AppleCare separately if I were to get the protection without the membership. I tend to buy several Apple items each year including an iPhone, MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. I often skipped the extended warranty due to price. The membership now makes it an included part of the the purchase so as long as I renew my BB tt membership. And yeah, it also goes without saying that everything you buy includes an extra year of warranty and often with accidental coverage including drones and camera gimbals, both of which I ended up buying from BB. Those items are more prone to being damaged in use and I am thrilled that I am now covered. Plus I ended up getting free installation on several pieces of home appliances as well, which I would have otherwise had to pay for out of pocket for my home. If you want to maximize the membership, I'd recommend you buy all your items within a small timeframe so that they all get the same coverage when you buy and new your BB tt membership.

    This is the best preventative action that can and should be done on an annual basis to keep everything running in the right direction all the time. Way to "Go Geeks". There should be a worldwide contest between all the geeks for an all-expense paid trip to the U.S. A. for the Top Geek from each office. The winners should be flown to NYC, Nashville or Las Vegas or 5 days and 5 nights all expenses paid to get an in-person: trip to experience the United States of America, 1st hand. O be able to experience the greatest country on the globe.

    My Best Buy Total Membership

    Best Buy has the the protection plans in the tech industry, and maybe best overall. I've needed to use this plan twice now, which has saved me over $1,500. First was recovering all my data from one computer and transferring it to a new one. They did this quickly and efficiently. The second time I needed my Best Buy total was when I left my laptop on the roof of my car and found it destroyed the next day. Not only did the techs provide excellent service, they expedited everything so I could get back to work. Within 3 days they had provided me with a store credit for the full purchase price of my laptop, which I immediately used to get a new one. There aren't many companies out there that offer a protection plan that fully protects you in case of an accident. Don't even hesitate... add this membership to your next purchase. It's worth it's weight in gold. 10 stars

    The TotalTech membership was OK. It included free installations and haul away of appliances. Unfortunately the first item we ordered arrived totally damage - it fell off someones truck and rolled around, looked like it was totally destroyed. So we did not accept it, and another one came a week later. Now it seems that those two benefits will go away with the NEW program called Best Buy TOTAL. If you read the details and think about your usage of best buy, it might still be worthwhile for you.

    The best membership service I ever bought

    I thought that I would never purchase anything such as a totaltech membership. I have saved so much money since buying this membership. For example, I bought a 65” TV from Best Buy for approximately $500 and had it mounted for $0 with my purchase of the TotalTech membership. So the membership will take care of any service I need for whatever I purchase from Best Buy. And I will get a 20% discount if I need Tech service for anything else I own or purchase from anywhere else. I bought laptops from Amazon that stopped working and I thought about trashing them. But after purchasing TotalTech I decided to use my membership service at a 20% discount to have them repaired. The technician came to my home and fixed my laptops at an affordable price. I had previously given my laptops to a friend who held onto the laptops just to tell me they couldn’t be repaired. I’m glad I bought Total Tech and I didn’t have to leave home to get great service. I will renew my membership every year for sure!

    We have saved thousands of dollars with this yearly membership and is worth every penny. We recently had one of those LG fridges with a faulty compressor break after 13 months, (LG was sued over this and they settled last year) Best Buy took care of us and we were able to get a replacement fridge at no cost to us! If we didn’t have the protection plan, it would have taken weeks for LG to make things right and replace their faulty fridge. We have also saved a lot of money with TV mounting, and I can always call Geek Squad for technical support and I know I have the experts on my side, being a total tech member gives me peace of mind on our purchases (washer & dryer protected as well) you don’t want to regret not having it if you do encounter issues with your purchases in the future.

    In-store appointment too far out in the future

    During check-out process of buying a car remote starter, it showed the Totaltech price with a decent discount. I had plans to buy car dashcams as well. Hence, I purchased Totaltech along with the car remote starter. On the product page of the remote starter and during check-out, the latest installation date in the nearby Bestbuy was shown as 09-March-2023. I was ok to wait 20 days to get it installed. After check-out, I tried to schedule the appointment. As the scheduling page kept showing that an error occurred, I contacted customer service to schedule the appointment. I was told by the customer care agent that the latest available installation date is 29-March-2023. I explained that the product page still showed installation availability on 09-March. Customer care agent did not have an answer as to why there is a discrepancy. I spent total 30 minutes on chat and then another 20 minutes on phone. They could not provide an appointment for 09-March as shown on the product page. Totaltech membership is not cheap - its $199 + tax. Bestbuy touts that installation services are included in Totaltech. In my case, I could not see the way I will get this benefit on time, given the 40+ day wait period Net result: I cancelled both the product purchase and Totaltech membership

    My husband recommended that I make sure to continue with the total tech after he passed. He had always been my tech go-to. I have needed to use their services many times and they are always helpful and I can get on with the use of my computer, phone, security systems, etc. Total tech gives me total peace of mind w/o any personal tech knowledge.

    The Geek Squad people that come out to our house to work on problems here have been very knowledgeable and effective. The telephone support lines have been absolutely miserable, unknowledgeable, and have actually lied to me. This week when I took my computer into the store, the person who took my order apparently did not communicate any of the issues that we are supposed to be accomplishing to the people that would be actually working on the computer and it almost cost me all of my data. That would have been disastrous and I explained that to the person that did the intake on the computer. I have recommended Total Tech to a lot of people but I'm now reconsidering my opinion because of the phone line support issues and also this bad experience in the store. I would very much appreciate a call from someone to discuss all of this and to understand if there are plans in the works to rectify any of these situations.
