I had high hopes for this product. I had been eyeing various models and finally decided on this one. We have a German Shepard so the pet hair can be something serious. This vacuum did an okay job of picking up hair and debris. The problem was the device being smart enough to go down the hallways, which is where the majority of the hair resides. The product has an interesting map feature that shows where the device has cleaned. It needs to take that a step further where certain boundaries can be identified and set a zone for the device to cover. I would recommend if you are in a small apartment where the layout if not complicated.

It’s not truly autonomous, I have a condo that should be fairly easy to so by itself but it requires that I’m next to it while it cleans.

I have two dogs and I finally decided that I needed to add a smart robot vacuum to home. Bob is very easy to put together but setup took me longer than it should have because bob only connects with 2.4ghz wireless signals and you have to pair using an existing device. Well all of my devices are 5ghz so it did take some research to find a workaround but I did. Bob is very good at cleaning up the house but he is little taller than I thought so doesn't fit under everything and has gotten stuck a few times under the couch. When BOB doesn't get stuck he does a great job cleaning and mopping (if you have then accessory bundle) but he isn't very smart when it comes to finding his way back to the base. Almost every time he runs I have to pick him up and bring him back to the charging base which is easy but not something I thought I would have to do. Included in the accessory bundle also was no go strip, a like 4 foot long cord basically that you lay on the floor where you dont want Bob to go. Unfortunately its not long enough and you only get one so if you have multiple areas you dont want him then you will have to have those all around your house. I trip over it all the time and then it does no good at keeping BOB out. Overall BOB does a good job cleaning but I have to do a lot of prep work before each use.

I wanted to put this thru its paces before I said anything. I have 2 big fuzzy dogs, and I hate to vacuum. On the good side, it does the vacuuming and picks up a lot of dust and dog hair. It also makes me more aware of what is left on the floor. It has found every wire or cable on the floor, and every dog toy, and tried to sweep them up. It also does try to fit into spaces that are too low, and gets jammed. One of my area rugs has fringe it tends to get caught on, the other is no problem. It gets into all my rooms except for one bathroom that has a higher threshold on the doorway, it sometimes hangs up on it. Overall the benefits out way the issues, because I do not have to do the work, but I do have to rescue him more often than I expected. I bought this on sale, if I had paid list price I would be unhappy.

Bob seems pretty unintelligent. Runs into the same walls over and over, constantly needs intervention and parental guidance. I don’t think I would recommend him to a friend :/. I almost want my mo way back but instead I just do one room at a time. Stick him in a corner and push the play button then once that room is done, pick him up and move him to another room do the same thing again. It’s annoying but it’s slightly better than vacuuming. I only paid ~ $280 for bob and he was originally like $900.. even at that deal, I wouldn’t recommend. Maybe I am doing something wrong... but our floor plan is super simple and we move everything out of his way including a chairs, rugs, etc. yet he still gets lost and confused. :/ very disappointing. I expected an intelligent machine and I am let down.

We bought this, and. It did vacuum, although it did not seem to. Have any particular pattern or method to doing so. In addition, it did not keep a map of the house so we could know what was done, and what was not. Finally, it would get caught on the edges of our rugs in the house and we had to keep rescuing it. So we returned it. And bought a iRobot vac

I would recommend this vacuum to a friend if they did not have a lot of furniture, their furniture did not have legs that extended past vertical, and they did not have lightweight rugs. This vacuum does not out preform an old Kirby (but I haven't found a new vacuum that does). It does however pickup hair well (if you or you pet have long hair be prepared to pull it out of the brush often like other vacuums but with the advantage of Bob telling you it is clogged so as not to burn the motor). The main draw backs of this model for me is not being able to 'drive' it or teach it a path to follow via the app (some of the remote controlled Bob's can be driven from my understanding) and cleaning the filter after each use is a pain. I have seating with chairs set at angles which can confuse Bob when trying to find a way around while staying on his grid pattern but other times he is fine and handles the obstacle like a champ (he can also miss entries into whole rooms). I also have furniture with queen anne style legs which Bob has a tendency of bumping into hard or trying to run over (he mounts them and the base of floor lamps and drives over them with one wheel on the floor and the rest in the air). Because of this I am afraid of scratching. Finally he is about 50/50 on being able to master lightweight area rugs depending on the angle and location he tries to approach it. All of this results in me following him around in many areas which defeats the set it and forget idea and would make a traditional vacuum much faster. These issues would be easily solved if it was possible to program the layout you wanted him to follow or at least let you 'drive' him while doing something else.

You can only connect 4g network, and it takes a while to setup . It has trouble maneuvering around the furniture and goes over the same area multiple times. I usually have to pick it up and move it to an open area. The suction is good and does pick up pet hair and dust adequately. Does not have mop attachment. Wish I had purchased the Vision plus instead.

Supposedly the most advanced of the BObSweep products. I’ve had this product for about a month now. Here are some things that I learned... 1. Ensure it’s properly on the Charger 2. Clear the area of possible obstacles. 3. It gets stuck quite a bit. Needs supervision Overall not a bad product for the price. It vacuums up a good amount. I have not had to vaccine manually since using this product.

You kind of have to baby sit it, it doesn't track where it has been, so it repeats the same area and also gets lost trying to re-dock to charge. So you have to help it out but I use that as an opporturnity to empty it out, since it has a pretty small collection bin and then put it back on the charger.

Does a good job but gets stuck under our couch frequently. We have to pickup and move floor rugs and power cords to keep them from being an issue. Has a mop function but have never used it as it seems more trouble than just breaking out the swiffer. Not sure it would work on carpet but does on hard floors with exceptions I’ve mentioned. Sometimes it gets confused on where it is and can’t find its way back to charger. My wife broke the debri tray the first time she cleaned it. You do need to clean the wheels and side brushes. We rarely use it since we purchased due to all the pre work to prevent it getting stuck.

Cleans great just needs a remote. Wont find base and you have to pick up to b place on base

Stops randomly in the middle of the room every few minutes and we need to press a button to restart. so we have to keep following it around to wait for it to stop and then restart it, which defeats the whole purpose of a robot vacuum. When it does work, however, it picks up a lot of dust and you can easily tell the room has been vacuumed.

I was working great then all of a sudden stopped!!! Get warranty!!!

Product idea is cool however it is not good if you have carpets/tables/chairs etc. I could see it being best for open layout houses with wood/vinyl flooring. No it does not pickup pet hair that well. Best bet is to get a plug in vacuum for that!

Not bad does the job but gets stuck under the sofa. I thought it was "smarter" than that but doesn't seem to not get stuck. Pretty sturdy, make sure you get stuff out of the way for a clean sweep. But, for under $200 bucks on deal of the day, I *guess* it was worth it.

I have only used it twice, and in both instances, it got stuck and needed my help. There is also a time when it keeps on cleaning the same track repeatedly and if I did not reposition it, the carpet on that area would be as clean as cotton balls.

I finally took it out of the box, I saw it was after the time I couldn’t return it, too bad. Anyway, it doesn’t know which way to go,gets confused and hangs out in one side of the room. Maybe with a little more use it will get motivated.

Work very well on flat floor but if there is a rug or lip on flooring has a hard time getting over it

It does the job on tile or hardwood floors. Thick carpets are a challenge. It has trouble getting from the hard floor up onto the rug but if it does, the side brushes may hang up on the carpet nap. Then it stops and needs assistance to get free. I removed both side brushes and it works better. My old Neato robot vac actually works better. I probably should have returned this one but it does the basic cleaning job ok.
