    Worth it in my opinion

I’ve had this for a few days now and so far it’s amazing. A few little things here and there that are slightly annoying but not at all a deal breaker. Set up wasn’t very informative. Attaching everything was fine but I got stuck on getting it to connect to my wifi. This is because it won’t connect to a 5g network and only a 2.4g. It does say this but it’s easy to miss and as far as I saw, it only says this in one place and after it has failed to connect. But once I switched it’s network settings it connect with zero issue. I was really surprised at how quiet it is. You can definitely hear it but you can also carry a normal conversation without it being distracting. It also handles going from linoleum to carpet like a champ. I was a bit afraid since I live in an apartment that has a carpeted main area but linoleum kitchen that kinda share the same space. But bOb handled it without any issues (we call him Kirby because he gobbles everything up.) It cleans very well too. It doesn’t do to well with larger items like candy wrapper but it will either just spit it out and spin around a few times make spines then fall out. I will say I don’t have a very large space and it does just kinda clean and clean until it thinks it’s going to die before docking. This is a bit annoying because it will clean the same place multiple times over the course of about 90 minutes. But I have it set up on my google home system so google tells it to stop cleaning and dock after about 45 min and it does it. I’ve only had one issue where it stopped because it either got lost or though it got stuck when it wasn’t, but he kinda found his way into our laundry pile. You can either buy a “blocker” which is a device that connects to your wife and tells it no to go certain places, or in my case just put a box in our doorway while it cleans. You MUST keep cables off the floor, it WILL pick them up and it WILL get tangled. This was my fault cause I wanted to test it and purposely placed a phone cable in front of it. It wasn’t hard to un tangle, I just had to pull on the cable but it’s worth noting. Considering what it does I’m pretty impressed. Only 4 stars though because of the few little annoyances and having to schedule it docking in addition to cleaning. But other than that, this is a solid product!

Bob the Butler vs Nitrous, the long haired Husky

I hired Bob about a year ago. He typically seems up to the challenge, but on occasion, I think he gets tired of all of the long haired Husky hair that he has to clean up, so he finds his way under my couch to hide and take a rest. It has been a complete joy to work with Bob! He has taken a ton of work (dog hair) off my hands, which was really surprising to me! I was skeptical that he would be able to keep up with the demands of this time consuming task, but I have been very happy with his performance! He does an amazing job, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to others, especially those who have high maintenance pets, with lots of shedding and/or long hair! My only complaints...the post on the front wheel broke off when attempting to remove it to clean; being that I have a long haired dog, the hair wraps around the wheel brush and the silver wheel that the rubber piece goes over, requiring the use of needle nose pliers to grab the hair and remove it; and while not really a complaint, because it wasn't something he was supposed to be able to do, I really do wish that you could set a perimeter to stop him from hiding under my couch and getting stuck on my thick area rug. When the post broke, I emailed Customer Service to get a new front wheel and had it within a couple of days! They were helpful and very easy to work with! Good Customer Service in this day is very refreshing! I would absolutely recommend this company, as they very obviously care about their customers!

Bob does a great job on our carpet and hard floors, the suction is great! We have two shedding dogs, and Bob allows us a break for a few days from getting out the big pet hair vac. Bob can get stuck, as can any robot vac, on things like rug edges, bar stools, pet toys, etc. Two minor design issues prevent Bob from getting 5 stars from me. As the pictures show, the hinges that split the dust bin open are shallow plastic and do not hold up very well. One broke a few months after purchase. I contacted Bobsweep support and they had a replacement to me in just a few days. Amazing customer support via e-mail. (I don’t call anyone unless it’s the only option.) The second design issue FOR MY APPLICATION is a gap at the end of the main brush can get hair wrapped around it, causing jamming. I figured out I could remove the pin and easily remove the hair. Just a time inconvenience when Bob is doing it’s job and finding pet hair we miss. Love our Bob!

I replaced all my flooring with hardwood. I thought this would be great. I couldn’t use it for my house because of the transition strips between rooms

I paid only $200 and It’s very ok for that much money. $899 definitely not worth it. Isn’t perfect but it’s good. 4 star just because of the app. The app is horrible.

    bOb is my bestie!

My bObsweep PetHair Vision is a special guy in my life! We have a German Shepard that snows daily in the house but our bOb keeps the floors looking so much better! He even gets along the baseboards/deeper corners where piles get blown with routine traffic. One issue is that he gets caught under specific pieces of furniture so I have to go pull him out or block those areas...this is NOT a deal-breaker for sure. Another issue is that he does seem to get lost at times and not able to make it back to charging base consistently. I admit that the base is not located in an area that gives bOb as much free space as he likely needs to find his home without encountering some obstacles. The app allows me to put him to work wherever I may be AND tells me if he gets in trouble. I go looking for him and easily remedy whatever the problem is. I got a great deal on my bestie bOb just after Christmas and am thrilled with my purchase!

Works great and is fairly quiet. It sets a pattern and it’s nice watching the surface area that’s shown on the app. Once in a while it’ll get stuck under a piece of furniture and after a while you forget about it and then have to go find it.

We've had Bob for a couple weeks now and he's definitely helping us in the ways we had hoped. Really easy to setup, especially in comparison to the original bobSweep PetHair. Initially, he had some issues with doing a full cycle as he'd stop with a main brush error. Not sure if an update came out or if he just got used to being a vacuum, but now he's running a full cycle and vacuuming our entire main floor. My only wishes are that he'd save his cleaning area so he can learn the best route and that he didn't struggle so much with getting back to his dock. Otherwise, such a worthwhile investment if you can get him at a good price.

We bought our Bob 11/15/20 thru a Best Buy Deal of the Day, and have had trouble getting it WiFi connected. Finally, with some time off due to the ice storm, I called Customer Service (02/19/21) and Gabe helped me. Initially the set-up procedure failed. We uninstalled and re-installed the app. Failed again Gabe sent me a video. I uninstalled and re-installed the app once more and we finally got it online and connected using the QR Code method. I tested it out and it works great. We moved our iRobot upstairs because we felt the BobSweep was doing a better job downstairs. We have two dogs, and the amount of hair they shed every day is amazing. "TheBob" seems to pick up a larger quantity of hair, is quieter, and has 2 brushes (compared to only one for the iRobot version we have). Also, TheBob does not get trapped beneath our kitchen cabinets! And, TheBob seems more intelligent as you can see it actually going back and forth is nice straight lines. To contrast, our iRobot seems to randomly travel around the house. TheBob also settles onto the charger much easier and actually charges without us having to think about it. Our iRobot has a tough time parking itself. First, the iRobot has to randomly travel to a spot within about 3 feet of the charger, then it attempts to park. Most of the time I need to remove the dust bin from the iRobot to get it in just the right balance so it will charge. Not so with TheBob. TheBob seems to know where his home is, can find it easily, parks easily, and charges without my intervention! We are very pleased with TheBob. If it had been easier to connect Bob at the very beginning I would probably give it a 5 star.

So far so good. The vacuum works really well as it picks up much of the dog hair in the house. We haven’t had any issues other than the fact that the home mapping feature does not seem to work well. The vacuum doesn’t find itself home most times. Although, I have issues with the home mapping this vacuum works a lot better than others I have tried and returned. Not the best vacuum but not the worst by far.

It works good. I was very skeptical. I researched them and then when this one came up on bb dod I jumped on it. So far I’m very happy w it. I mean it’s a robo vac. So it does get stuck every once in a while.it does have problems w edges and throw rugs sometimes. I have a dog and it somehow manages the dog hair w/out getting full real fast.I would say for 200$ absolutely buy it. But 700-900$ ?? No way.

Definitely picks up pet hair! I've found that it goes over the same area multiple times and sometimes misses others. Sometimes I will pause it, pick it up, and move it to another part of the house. Fits under my sofa and chair too - the first time that's been cleaned in who knows how long! I got it on sale, so for me, it was a great value

Cleans really well. Cant seem to get back to charging station. I just push a button to start it and it goes everywhere to clean. Generally climbs on to the rugs to continue to clean. Has gotten caught on a corner of a rug. I am happy with it.

Works very good for all my vacuuming needs. Before we bought this vacuum, we would vacuum every two weeks or so, just laziness, now we vacuum every other day always picking up a good amount of pet hair,( 3 dogs and 2 cats worth) and dirt, our carpet is noticeably cleaner. It vacuums in a straight line pattern for effective cleaning. It does get stuck under the couch, but only when someone is on the couch. It does run into most of our furniture, but it maneuvers around it. I paid 200 on a deal of the day, definitely worth it, no way I could afford 900 for a robot vacuum anyway.

I love Bob, especially for his ability to pick up my cat's fur. Pro: great at picking up cat fur, scheduling sessions is easy, quiet and gentle when bumping into furniture, docks reliably Con: poor at picking up cat litter or other small crumbs, mapping is poor and requires Bob to repeat areas already completed. Instruction book is woefully inadequate, and finding help online is scattered all over the Bob website. Adequate: Sometimes loses WiFi connection, takes almost 12 hours to recharge fully. Dustbin has lots of nooks and crannies, making emptying harder than it should be Wishlist: Android app is easy to use, but enhancements like battery status would be nice. App should retain map after completion for later review.
