The good: the dishwasher is very quiet and the delay start is very flexible. The bad: the drying on this machine is ABYSMAL. I'm on my 2nd one after getting the first one replaced and even with "Extra Dry" + "Sanitized" dishes will come out wet. Not just plastic dishware but even glass containers or ceramic plates. Also, the utensil holders are extremely frustrating, they constantly come out of place when pulling out utensils. The racks also seem poorly designed as its often hard to get things to fit just right. I'm very disappointed with this brand as I thought it was top-of-the-line. My previous GE dishwasher was loud but it would dry pretty well. Also disappointed with Best Buy Total Tech as I'm now being forced to bring the appliance back to the store to replace it with another brand. What's the point of the membership then?

I had to replace my 11.5 Bosch series 500 dishwasher in a clutch pre Thanksgiving. I believe circulation pump impeller broke off. Normally $80 kit, require thorough disassembly of the unit. The kit is not in stock anywhere online and the only alternative $230 for new circulation pump plus complete disassembly. I decided to pass. It was a good machine. Top controls and small LCD window on the front. So it combined streamlined looks of top controls but still allowed for checking what mashine was doing. I decided to go with 300 series front controls mostly because models with top controls offer only blank door with nothing to indicate machine activity (some like it, I don't). Purchassing experience: showed up at the store, applied for store CC etc. Went rather quickly. Good. They deliver to home in 3 days (free delivery). I needed it now, so I opted to pick up from warehouse at Bolingbrook (about 1.5h roundtrip in rush hour). So I got the unit, but they forgot to include provided ree of charge power cord with junction box. Something I discovered I will need. Unpacked, tried to plug it in . No go only three prong "normal" power cord included. Gave them a call the next day (they actually called me informing me that they forgot the cord). They gingerly suggested that have to go to Bolingbrook to pick it up "at my convenience". Wow. I went to the store asking if they have it in stock. No, only at warehouse. And No they can't arrange it to be delivered to my house. May be in a week. Wow again. Well another trip to Bolingbrook warehouse. Cord in hand, unit installed the next day after purchase. First impression: 1. It is not quiet at all, I measured 60dB (see attached SS). They claim 44dB. Nowhere near. May be when the unit is off ?! 2. It is hard to place pots and pans and the tines at the bottom rack are not foldable (there is an area where they are foldable but hardly as single pot would fit there). So piling up pots and pans stop of tines. Does not bode well for tines longevity. 3. Front controls. Intead of unobtrusive LCD fights now you have these glowing red, in your face, back to 80-s electronics rights. What gives ? They illunate the whole kitchen at night. 4. It does not look like the unit turns itself off (to be confirmed). You have to press the OFF button. So, to sun up, for a $1K dishwasher I am pretty disappointed.

It is extremely quiet. Third (top) rack is convenient for knife/fork/spoon. However big chance that there is items in third rack come out not clean. Sometimes even middle rack has not cleaned item. After remove third(top) rack, it clean little better. Also bottom rack is not easy to set items, Items lay flat instead of stand, so can't put much items in bottom rack. Since clean is the key feature, I had to return it and exchanged a Mytag which is much cheaper.

Expensive but highly rated on Consumer Reports. Love the adjustable shelf and the 3rd row shelf. Extremely quiet. That's where the love stops. All of the dividers are at an angle. The design of the adjustable shelf is horrible. Nowhere to put lids. It's hard to put your glassware in there..very poorly designed. It is good for big things on the bottom but everyday dishes and glassware is so hard to load. On the adjustable shelf you can load bowls but then there's wasted space where glasses should go so you can't put both. The other side is designed so strange that nothing fits. I would take my 25 year old Kitchenaid over this dishwasher in a heartbeat!

The noise level is really low. It cleans up the dishes well, but lately we've noticed the quality has degraded - we have to run the cycle twice. When I got this item, it's front panel was Broken front panel with a minor crack. It was a small one that I didn't bother returning. Now it's growing and has become a big crack. I don't know what to do. Can someone from Bosch team reading this review help me?

I purchased this dishwasher and was expecting a much better product. It washes the dishes well, however the average cycle takes 2 hours and even if you select extra dry the dishes come out dripping wet. The dishwasher is also loud. I went from a whirlpool which was faster, less noisy and dried the dishes it was just getting old.

I have run it about eight times and I can’t get this terrible smell out of it. Smells almost like sewage. Also, knives on the upper shelf are not being cleaned because of the overall design. There is a plastic bar that goes al the way across and blocks the water. I will have to use the utensils rack from now on. If I can get the smell out of it then I would recommend it.

I really wanted to love this dishwasher but I find it frustrating and not worth it. The dishwasher cleans my dishes well so I am pleased with that. I do not like the prong setup inside the dishwasher and that is my major complaint. It takes me forever to load the dishwasher so it is no longer a convenience item. I have light weight cups or plastic items flip over and are full of water when the cycle has finished. It does not fit many plastic containers in there on the top shelf. I find myself having to do more loads because I can't fit as many dirty dishes in this dishwasher as I was able to in my previous GE dishwasher. I can't utilize the space as well in this dishwasher because of how it is designed. I do like the third rack for smaller items. I was hoping I'd enjoy this dishwasher so much more but I have been disappointed with this dishwasher overall.

So, purchased Bosch 300 from Best Buy, tok forever to get it installed - about 2 or 3 weeks. When it was installed, the washer did a good, near great job on dishes and pans, but they were not dry even with extra dry pressed. Ran several tests with varying loads and different cycles, always with extra dry pressed when given option, but the dishes were not just damp, but wet and the washer's inner walls were dripping. Wet washers will get moldy and develop a bad odor. So, I will have to give this washer (or at least the one I got) a2 out of 5.

I purchased this dish washer, because I had heard that Bosch is the best. While it looks really nice, it uses a new technology that dries with the heat from the water, not a heating element. This in turn leaves half of the contents completely wet and holding water in every nook and cranny. They claim that glass and dishes dry but plastic doesn't. Well, I have a lot of plastic, and when it's wet and covered in water, that doesn't work for me. I exchanged it for a Kitchen Aid. Don't have it yet, so I don't know. However, my compliments and gratitude to Best Buy on handling the exchange with no questions asked. You have 15 days from delivery. I like that.

It cleans well, and is quiety. However, after about 8 months, the bottom rack kept going off the tracks. It was under warranty but i didn't have my act together to deal with it. Before purchasing, google this issue! The cheap crappy plastic wheels also pop off. Even if we do get it to slide in, we often here a THUNK as it goes off track all by itself.

Having issues almost immediately. Keeps tripping the breaker and its still full of water, so i think its a defective part. Getting serviced tomorrow

It has good capacity and you can put a lot into it without over crowding. The soap dispenser does not completely discharge powdered soap which then continues to drip out onto the clean dishes. Also, the dishes do not dry very well, especially the middle rack. We have contacted Bosch service and it was a very different experience. They did not offer to schedule anyone out to look at it, instead told us to contact a authorized third party, who thought we were crazy when we called them as they expected Bosch to schedule them.

Very quiet. My hot water heater is at the far end of the house and when I run the dishwasher, the water never gets hot enough to melt the soap pods and dishes never get cleaned.

DISHWASHER BROKE WITHIN ONE YEAR. HAVE BOUGHT TWO EXTENDED WARRANTIES AND STILL NOT FIXED. I HAVE TO RESTART MY DISHWASHER EVERY 2 MINUTES ALL DAY LONG. REPAIR PERSON KEEPS SAYING IT IS FIXED, HAS BEEN OUT MULTIPLE TIMES AND TAKES OFF RANDOM PARTS. FACTORY TECHNICIAN IS A JOKE. WARRANTY IS A JOKE HOURS ON PHONE FOR NO FIX. RUN RUN RUN!

I have been looking forward to a Bosch dishwasher for a long time. When my old Maytag dishwasher died, I read all the reviews and decided that this Bosch was for me. But, my dishes come out stained with black carbon-like marks and red stains. I'm afraid to use the dishwasher again as the stains are quite difficult to get off.

Doesn't dry dishes well at all. I wish I never bought it.

I'm extremely glad I purchased the extended support plan for this because this is the second dishwasher I've owned in 6 years, the first I left that brand due to after 4 years it having issues. This one is under 2 years old. Kind of upset, but thankfully Geek Squad will be supporting me. :)

Purchased because my previous machine, Bosch 500 model was great. This model is terrible, the middle arm spray does not get the cups clean. I thought the only difference between the 300 model would be less options, but the cleaning is actually much worse. I do not recommend.

The dishwasher that we wanted to purchase was out of stock everywhere. We were guided to this Bosch by a couple employees. It cleans well. TERRIBLE at drying! Even on the highest setting it fails to dry. We have since sold the home and have a better dishwasher at our new home. Would not recommend!
