The Bose® - QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Canceling Headphones makes traveling so much more pleasant. The noise canceling technology is absolutely amazing. The headphones itself is so comfortable and looks good as well. Compact in size, it's portability is excellent. Pure pleasure to use. Well worth the cost.

Great piece of kit -- you really get what you pay for. I've been an avid Bose fan for years, and these headphones did not disappoint. The only minor gripe is the fact you need to have the noise cancellation switched on at all times. If you turn it off, you get no sound. I often forget I have the headphones turned on when not in use, resulting in drained AAA battery. But hey, otherwise, my experiences have been PERFECT. The sound quality is epic! Highly recommended.

The Bose QC15 headphones are Bose's top of the line acoustic noise canceling headphones. They have a very classy look and feel to them, and they are made with the same precision that we have come to know and love from Bose products. Pros: - Very high build quality: thick and durable plastic and soft touch padding - Perfect amount of padding on the headband and around the ear cups - Headphones can extend to fit almost any head size comfortably - Ear cups are attached to a twisting and swiveling mount that adjusts comfortably to your head - Comes with long audio cable, inline remote and microphone cable, and airline adapter - Comes in a hard and durable carrying case that protects your headphones on the go Cons: - Price Sound quality: - These headphones sound amazing. Every genre that I have listened to sounds great. Rock, jazz, hip hop, rap, you name it - it all sound incredible. - The vocals, instruments, and bass are all clear and easily heard - Very crisp and full sound - The noise canceling technology does a great job of canceling out environmental noise. It can even cancel out cabin noise on a plane. If you would like to see a more comprehensive review, please feel free to watch my in-depth video review that I made for my YouTube channel. I cover everything from the build quality to how these headphones work and perform. Video review: http://goo.gl/Gu9qt Thanks for reading and watching! WhatLukeSays

I tried on a pair of these in a Best Buy store and fell in love! The noise cancelling feature is great and the sound is crystal clear with great bass. They are pricey but very much worth the money if you know you will use them. They are the perfect pair of headphones to use when you are around other people or any kind of activity because they block out the noise very well so all you hear is your music. They fit comfortably and come with a nice case that keeps them protected. The case also has room to keep the extra cord it comes with. I can't wait to use them when I travel!

I travel back and forth to China for business and these headphones have made the long flights extremely easy! They have superb sound and the clarity is definitely what you would expect from Bose. I also use these headphones almost daily listening to music and using them during conference calls. They are perfect to use during calls because they drown out the background noise and allow you to hear the voices so much easier than it would be without these. I was so impressed with these headphones that two days later I went back to Best Buy and bought my wife a pair. The only minor complaint that I have is the battery life could be better but considering the quality surrounding these headphones and the performance from the noise cancellation, I can understand why I have had to change the batteries as often as I have. Please keep in mind that I use these headphones almost daily for the last three months and have had to change the battery out three times. That includes 15+ hour of flight to China, plus every day listening to music and having phone calls. My wife has had her headphones for three months and the same battery that came with the headphones is still alive and well with hers. You walk out with this purchase and you have everything you need to start using them which I thought was a nice touch by Bose to include all the accessories. I have recommended these already and will continue to recommend these headphones. Especially if you are a frequent traveler like we are. If you haven't bought a pair of these, and are going on a trip [especially overseas] I encourage you to purchase these. If not, at least pay attention to all the passengers that have the Bose QC15's on their head during the flight. When I decided to look at buying a pair of headphones, I knew automatically what set I was going to get. However, I did decide to checked out the Beats because a couple of my friends had bought them. I can tell you that these QC15's blow the Beats out of the water. When I tried the noise cancellation with the Beats, I could hear a crackle and whistle noise the entire time they were engaged. I already knew I was going to get the Bose, but testing out the Beats just confirmed what I had already decided. You will not regret getting these. Especially if you plan to use them as much as I have in these three short months.

Versatile, effective & comfortable ANR headset

I used ANR headsets (not Bose) in my day job with great satisfaction. When I retired and noticed my hearing wasn't what it once was, I began a search for the perfect stereo headset for use at home. I wasted a lot of money lookting -- more than 3x the price of the Bose QC15. Then I took the plunge. I've never been happier with a product. I use the QC15s for listening to music mostly. But I've discovered that it makes it much easier for me to follow the rapid-fire witty banter on many TV programs. This headset is lightweight and places little pressure on the temples for proper noise cancelling results. The quality of music reproduction is amazing; and the quality seems uniform throughout my personal frequency range of hearing. This adds up to uninterupted comfort and enjoument even while watching a 3-hour DVD! A big plus is that its having an easily detachable cord makes it very easy to use it "wireless" as a hearing protector while running the vacuum or while doing other noisy indoor chores (I'd like to use it mowing, but I don't think Bose intended it to be used in a sweaty, dirty, rough-house environment). My professional experience as a pilot put me in the company of many colleagues who used Bose aviation headsets. To a person they all swore by them. It seems to me that the QC15 headsets share many of the quaities of the commercial units, so I expect that the QC15s will be similarly durable. Though I have not yet tried them as a passenger on an airliner, I have several friends who say they won't go without their Bose! Downside? Maybe the battery . It's a cinch that if you fail to turn the QC15s off when not in use then the battery will be quickly depleted. Though having been very careful to turn them off after every use, I seem to only be able to get about 15 hours of use from a battery. I'm using top-quality batteries that are fairly new. It may turn out that batteries from a different batch may last longer. Regardless, I believe that the QC15 headset from Bose would be worth it to me if I had to change the battery every day! I highly recommend the Bose QC15 headset to anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable and great-sounding stereo headset. They will be getting a very effective hearing protector in the bargain!

So I am currently a college student, and have been considering these or similar headphones for a couple of years, but was undecided because of the price. After I received several BB gift cards, I eventually was able to convince myself to make the leap. And, I am glad I did. I have had these headphones for just over a month. I use them for probably an average of 30 minutes a day, at minimum, and have yet to have to replace the battery. The music quality is very good; it sounds crisp and pure, with just enough base to sound full yet not overpowering (I mostly listen to rock, both classic and newer). I find them very comfortable, and am able to adjust the headphones to fit my head, although I do worry that they feel a little flimsy. I have yet to have any problems yet, thought. The real gem of these headphones, though, is in the noise cancelling ability. Just with the noise cancelling feature, it blocks out probably 75% of surrounding noise. I used them once with my lawnmower on, and with just the noise cancelling, they worked much better then a pair of earplugs. With my iPod on about 25% volume and a relatively quiet song, I could not hear the lawnmower at all. One disadvantage to listening to music for long periods of time with earbuds or normal headphones is that after a while your ears begin to hurt, no matter the volume. Since these headphones are away from the ears a little more, and combined with the fact you can turn the volume down because of the noise cancelling, I have yet to experience this with these. Just as a note, the noise cancelling technology can be a little uncomfortable after a long time, but overall not bad, and with music you'll barely notice it. There is no doubt, these are some pricey headphones. To this day, I do wonder if they were a great value. However, rest assured, the quality of these headphones is every bit as good as I expected. So, by no means a steal (it would be nearly impossible at this price point), one would have to have incredibly high expectations or bad luck to be dissapointed.

My 13 year-old son bought these headphones with his lawn mowing money and would recommend them to anyone wanting to invest in a great pair of headphones. He has had them for several weeks now and they seem very durable, but he is being very careful with them. The AAA battery lasts a long time, but you'll want to keep an extra on hand if you're going on vacation. The noise cancelling feature is excellent. They come with a really nice hard storage case.

You've been searching for a great set of headphones for so long. You've looked at Beats By Dr. Dre,Turtle beaches, and any other name-brand headphones that claim to get the job done. However, you haven't looked at the Bose QC 15 headphones, until now. Right off the bat,you get what you pay for. A NICE sturdy case to carry these in,two sets of cable jacks with a HIGH/LOW setting of your choice, the user manual, and one aaa battery( Be sure to buy rechargeable batteries since these headphones have a life of 32-hours with one normal battery). The manual is a mess and may be confusing to read so I'll get to the point.Plug in the Jack in the LEFT side and pop in the battery on the RIGHT side top of the headphone. It may look concealed for those not paying attention. As soon as you put them on,boom. No sound from the outside, and their not even turned on yet. The comfort padding is good when I put them on.Turn them on watch a movie and the bass hits and any other high as if you were at the movies. Plug them into your Ipod/Mp3/etc and all you hear is your music.DO Not ride a bike with them or drive as they will cancel any noise outside of your music. Aside from that their a great buy if being used for music or gaming, plugs into your standard headphone jack. Do be careful though you may be enjoying your music, take them off and you can hear the headphones loud enough,so be careful not to annoy others with what your listening to.You just may not be able to hear them complaining.Overall I enjoy them and would buy them over the beats by Dr. Dre even if their both in the same price range.

These Bose noise canceling headphones are top notch. They work excellent on airplanes if you travel frequently. It's like you're not even on a plane. Able to wear for a long time without your ears getting hot or overheating. Also work very well for cutting grass and killing the mower noise. Also very nice that the cord disconnects for easy storage. This prevents you from accidentally yanking out the cord and breaking them like other corded headphones. Comes with a very nice case for storage and travel, and also includes an airplane adapter if you care to listen to the airline music channels. Only real downside is the price. Bose headphones have always been pricey, and these are no exception. If you're willing to get past the price, I think you'll be pleased with the overall performance of these headphones.

Used these headphones on an overseas trip. Sitting in coach is difficult enough these days so I wanted to at least get something that could help me relax and even sleep. The difference between hearing the plane noise and the quiet with this product is remarkable. Was the sound completely masked out? no, but it is a substantial enough difference to get me comfort in a terribly awkward middle seat. I an happy with the sound quality of music and TV with these as well. I have some hearing loss so I'm not the audiophile I used to be. Everything sounds crisp. The over- the-ear style takes a little time to get used to. Wish they packed up into a less bulky package for travel but I'm pleased overall. Couldn't have gotten into business class for $300 but I got a little closer with these headphones. Glad they have the universal plug in the pack!

What can I say - these things are amazing. While they will not block out all sound, they are very good at blocking out background noise such as that from a car ride, fans in a room, or general background engine noise on a cruise ship or airplane. They take one AAA battery, and so far the first battery has lasted well beyond the 13 hours bose said it will last. You really do become immersed in whatever you are listening to once you hit play. I used these in a pretty noisy car ride and as soon as I put my own music on - I couldn't hear anything the people around me were talking about. The quality of the leather head band and earpieces is amazing - they are very soft and really comfortable to wear. I am a student and plan to use these for studying all the time. In the meantime they have been working really well for random music listening or video gaming. I love that they have a built in microphone and volume control specifically for Apple products. Expensive price, but worth every single cent if you love to have outside noises to a minimum!

Wow -- I can block out (almost) everything! I have been looking for headphones that will fit my smaller head and these are perfect. They do adjust to make them bigger if you need more room. They are comfortable to wear and the sound is AMAZING! I am not really an audiophile but I let my son try them and he said they are better than the Beats he has. Since the speakers on my laptop died, I have been using a cheap set that came with my Roku - yeah, anything in a pinch, but these even work with the Roku 3 and make everything sound wonderful. The noise cancelling even allows me to block out my husband and he can obviously see that I am listening to something unlike the in-ear headphones. I have now taken them on several trips and again they block out most airplane noise except screaming babies. Once some one developes head phones that can cancel that noise out, they will make a fortune!

After much research, I chose Bose QC 15 headphones because they set the standard for noise cancellation. I primarily use these headphones when I am travelling by plane or car and they really block out most of the surrounding noise. The sound quality is very good but a little more crisp in the high end and a little more bass on the low end would be nice. However, the noise cancellation is so great that I can hear the music very clearly. The comfort of the headphones is superb and I can wear it several hours at a time without a problem. On the negative side, the cable connecting to the headphone jack is very thin and feels like it could be kinked and damaged very easily. For the price they sell these headphones, I would expect a better quality cable. I have only had the headphones for one month so only time will tell how well they will hold up. Also, the nearly $300 price tag is pretty hefty but that is the price one pays for the Bose name. You can probably find cheaper headphones but I doubt there is a better noise cancelling system on the market. In my mind, it was more important to get better noise cancellation than the best sound quality. If you have too much surrounding noise, you will not be able to listen clearly to your music anyway.

I bought B&W P5 and C5 headphones and they were not complete in their reproduction of the recordings. The bass was completely missing or muffled. I tried all of the over-ear Beats by Dre models and was unhappy with them all in their own individual ways. The Solo HD's hurt my head and seemed cheap. The Studio model came broken!! One ear didn't work. I thought the PRO model sounded OK, but they don't have an inline mic for my iPhone, so they were out. I am very happy with these Bose headphones. They have nice sound. The noise canceling assists in clear music representation. I love the inline Apple remote! I highly recommend these headphones!

Nothing negative to say about these headphones. On a recent flight I actually had to try and listen for the jet engines on the plane. They fit great, are very comfortable and sound super. They are a bit pricey (not negative, just stating the fact) but believe me you get what you pay for. These headphones rock! Can't wait till my next trip!

I've had a pair of these for 3 years. I loaned them to my son for a trip, and he refused to give them back, so I bought another pair. (He's a good kid though.) These are fantastic for air travel. The jet noise goes away and the trip is much more relaxing. They don't completely get rid of all noise, mostly just the fuzzy noise. They also plug into the plane's sound/movie systems. It comes with adapters for different audio plugs, and a iphone plug with volume control. The carry case is sturdy and keeps spare batteries, cords and adapters organized. If I somehow break these, I'll buy another pair. I tried them in a car, but don't recommend it. It's scary when you can't hear the traffic around you.

I bought these headphones for my wife for our honeymoon where we would have to spend many hours on an airplane. They worked GREAT! We tried them on in the store and knew how good they were, and they work just as well on an actual airplane. You can't really hear anything except your music/movie. I was able to try them out as well and the quality blows me away everytime I put them on. Although the price is very high, you get what you pay for when it comes to noise cancelling headphones. It is very expensive for headphones, but if you really need noise cancelling headphones, I would go with these. I tried several in a multiple stores and have not found anything that came close to these. Great product!

These are good headphones. Like everyone says on the airplane they really cut down all the RAHHH. I use these while I work (sometimes with music sometimes just noise cancel) and its much harder to hear the dogs barking when someone pulls in the driveway, and its much easier to tune out those who are talking to you while you try to work. All in all, they are pricy for what they are, but worth it to me. I have considered some buyers remorse when it comes to the Beats Executive or whatever they are. The finish looks a lot more, manly or awesome or something compared to the Bose, and the sound quality-while good-is not like sitting down at some Bang and Olsen Twins (whatever they called) in a properly setup audio room and being blown away without words to express the unbelievableness. So they are OK but not like cusswordworthy. The case an all the extras are very tight, and the whole package/contents is actually put together very nicely. Like a Toyota Camry. Like its a very mature product thats been refined over the course of a long time. Buy them if $300 is worth having some peace and quiet and better than Walmart beater headphones. But I would still compare them to those Beats.
