I can't remember how many formats I've owned this album in. When Boston arrived in 1976, I was 11 years old. "More Than A Feeling" shot up the charts, and no one had ever heard a sound quite like this. Brad Delp's soaring vocals, luscious layers of almost orchestral guitar licks, and infectious hooks, Boston's self-titled debut was strong from start to finish. Though it's admittedly a creation of Tom Sholtz's studio wizardry, it remains nonetheless one of the most popular albums of the era, and holds up extraordinarily well today. Having owned the original vinyl, 8-track, cassette, and CD versions, I can easily declare this the definitive version so far. The heavy gauge vinyl pressing plays beautifully, and there's so much presence to the recording. You can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended purchase.

This music has always been awesome, but analog sound coming from the 180 gram vinyl pressing takes this music to its sonic peak. Excellent!!

This album is a 180 gram (heavy) master cut LP. The experience of playing this record took me back to my HS days. I really enjoyed playing the whole album and fiddling with the album cover. I will buy more masters for my new collection. Enjoy
