Ten pounds of carrots did not produce a quart of juice. I tried several fruits and vegetables. After about 6 uses, I put it away and have not used it since.

Overheats

Decent Juicer, Could do Better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Liked my juicer when I first got it, had great quality juice out of it. Does an excellent job juicing and separating out the pulp. Cons? I definitely did not like that it started after about 2 months leaking (spraying out the plastic sides where the chute connects to the juicing area) and I did not like that I couldn't get inside and clean some of the areas even with the brush. It was like pulp was mashed into the suction/closure area (hard to describe, but it just didn't work right). I thought it would be fine, and I did go back and get a second juicer, and that one squirted juice after a week of use. Don't know if it was just me and how much I was juicing, but I'll probably go with a different juicer in the future. If you're someone who juices conservatively, I would probably recommend it, if you're someone who is a hardcore juicier, do some more research.
