Save the hook up to the Internet okay. The pictures that it prints out have nice color. Printing black and white is good.

I love this printer for many reasons. Easy to navigate. Can customize the screen the way I want it to be and how I use the functions.
Its fast, quiet - and everything a printer should be.
One hickup I would say is that the next buttons are so close to the other icon and somewhat difficult to work with

I purchased this printer because I was weary of ink jet printer maintenance due to my infrequent print jobs; as most probably know they must be used regularly to avoid clogged jets etc. I set it up via my wireless network and have thus far been pleased with its performance and print quality. It is rather large however, so if space is an issue this may not be the printer for you.

Lousy Manuals, But A Good Printer

If you can get past the lousy documentation on how to set it up, this printer does a great job. Printouts look great, but it’s a bit noisy (my dog goes and hides in the hallway when it prints). There are plenty of YouTube videos on the setup. Just do a search for the Canon MF series. The model numbers may vary, but the setup is the same.

This printer was relatively easy to set up and worked perfectly from the start. I used help videos on Canon web site to get it connected to 3 different Apple home computers on an Apple local area network. I did purchase high capacity toners from Amazon (cheapest real Canon toners I could find) but have not had to use them yet. Color is good and black is crisp. It is fast and it just works which is what I wanted. Canon reputation is good and toners have their own transfer rollers which should result in good reliability.

I've always been a Hewlett Packard fan. This time I choose to take a new route. Recently I have had big issues with HP's printers. Many issues not playing nicely with installed networks, print drivers not working, etc.
So I bought a Canon. So far I love it. Very simple and easy to connect to networks. Fast printing with great color. Not photo quality, but very nice for presentations,
So far, so good!
If you are thinking of buying an HP again, take a look at a Canon. You might be surprised.

A year in, and I still love this printer. Good quality printing, good life in the toner cartridges, easy maintenance. Understandable touch-control panel. This is my first foray back into lasers since just getting tired of inkjets and not seeing any new models that did everything I wanted them to do and also featured durability and good price point. This machine could use a larger paper tray and I can always gripe about toner cartridge costs, of course, but for what you get for the money, it’s a fantastic printer at a really good price.

Good laser printer. Quality of print is excellent in both black and color. It is fast and prints well, and the large touch control screen is nice. Instructions and setup could be improved. A bit loud when printing. WiFi printing is ok, looses connection sometimes. Overall I’m happy with it over my previous inkjet printer that lasted a month.

I had been considering moving to a laser printer due to some issues with our ink-jet printer. This unit had a substantial price drop, making it an appealing purchase. It was fairly easy to set up and connect to the computers at home via the network, although there were a few glitches for it to adjust to. Since then it has worked very well and we are satisfied with the quality of the copies and how to use it.

After multiple ink jet printers we decided to spend more on this laser jet with the hope that the cartridges, while costing more, will last longer and eliminate the hassle of frequently buying new cartridges. The printer was simple to set with out various devices. What has surprised us the most is the speed of the printer and scanner. Our only complaint is that it's a little noisy.

As with all printers, the hidden price is the toner/inks. We shall see over time how well this works out. But the initial price was great and the setup was easy. Printing works well and hopefully -- being a laser, the consumables will last considerably longer than inkjet inks normally do.

Great home printer

Awesome printer, works well and the print quality is good. The starter toner cartridges are fairly small and with my wife (a teacher) printing some small books with graphics on each page taking roughly 1/5 of the page we were only able to get a couple hundred pages (200-300ish) printed before the color toners ran out. That said replacement toner can be found on Amazon through a few vendors including GCI that I was able to get high capacity toner sets for around $50 or less that have lasted a lot longer. Granted most people won't be printing their own reading books for kids classrooms but for low to moderate use at home this printer should last for a long time without needing to worry about things like printer ink drying out.
Also don't bother with the Windows driver for this printer, it will only cause heartache. Use the included driver on the CD or grab the one from Canon's website.

More than a year after purchase this is still going strong. I don't use the printer often, and am still on the starter toners without issue, something my inkjet was incapable of. I've also just completed a large scanning project and the scanner works great. Some times it's finicky about paper.

Bought this printer after owing few others. Like this one the most. Super easy to setup the printer. Prints fast even though it takes some time to warmup. I am able to print from my phone as well which is a plus. Still need to setup scanning mode though. It seems little tedious to set up the scan to email.

I was looking for a new inkjet all-in-one printer when this unit caught my eye. I'd never really considered owning a laser printer because of the experiences I'd had with the ones we use at the office, but I'm glad I decided to give this unit a try. It is fast, and set-up was quick and easy.

Really nice printer, very simple interface, and setup was really easy. Replacement for a comparable HP printer. The only issue I have is the photo quality settings. At its highest setting the photos aren't as crisp as my old HP. I dont do a lot of photo printing so it wasn't important. Much faster than my original.
