    Best Printer for the Price!

I just purchased this printer from Best Buy yesterday and this is by far the best printer I have ever purchased. It was easy to install and I had a Pixma mx479 before that so the software was already installed. All I had to do was connect the printer to my wifi and then used my Surface Pro 2017 and my iPhones/iPad's to search for the device. After I found the device connected to my wifi I was able to click on it and start using it right away. It is a bit slow printing and scanning so I wouldn't say this would be a good option for a business to use but for personal use, it's the best printer you can buy at this price point. It allows for duplex scanning which the previous version I had did not have. It was only good at scanning one side of the document and if there's something on the back of a document then you're screwed if you're using the old printer. This new printer has a designated tray for regular paper and photo paper that's built underneath where the paper comes out after printing which is nice bc it's neatly tucked away and not just sticking out collecting dust. I only use Cannon printers because they've always worked well for me. I keep my printer on 365 a year so the previous printer I had only lasted me 2yrs before it broke. I couldn't get it to reset and it kept throwing an error code which really aggravated me because there are no support articles about this error message so I tried to reset the whole printer and it didn't work. I decided it was time for a new printer and I wanted a similar style and functionality so I went with this printer and I'm glad I did bc I didn't have to download any new drivers or software. It was almost all plug and play and the things that you print and scan from it is extremely clear. I use this printer on my iPhone 8Plus, my iPad Pro 12.9", my Surface Pro 2017 and my son's iPhone SE. There is a Cannon app that you can download for iOS(not sure about Andriod but I would imagine so). This one has a bright color led screen which you can actually see what you're doing unlike the Pixma MX479 which only had an analog screen. Overall, if you're looking for a wireless printer, fax machine, and scanner then you have found the perfect printer here. Again, it is a little slow printing and scanning things but I use it for personal use and it's perfect. I wouldn't use this for a business setting, although I would imagine it would work just as well but the printer is not going to last you that long bc it's not designed for business use. It's designed for personal use and for $70, it's not a bad buy at all. I'm still stoked that you can scan the front and the back of a document and save it as a PDF, no more only being able to scan one side of the document and having to flip the document over and scan it separately and then having to use Adobe PDF to rearrange the pages. That's a money saver right there. I like having digital copies of all of my documents in case I need them while I'm on the go so I scan everything. It also beats having to file paperwork and then sift through all your paper docs for the one you're looking for because now you can store everything on the computer and organize it the way you want and finding the document is so much easier. Overall, I would recommend my friends and family to buy this printer bc it has all the functionality that you need and it does it's job well which is surprising since it was only $70. Even the photo's come out clear as day on glossy photo paper as if you went to a photoshop and asked them to print out your pictures for you but who does that these days? I doubt anyone still keeps a photo album in this day in age bc you can store everything on your computer or your smartphone. You can also view it on your smartphone so there's really no reason to print out pictures now a days unless it's a special occasion and you want to put it in a frame. Otherwise, I just keep it on my phone and my laptop.

First time buyer of a Canon product

I have about 13 plus years experience with home computers and in that time frame my family would only purchase Hewlett Packard products i.e PC , scanner ,printer etc. We have never actually thought about any other brand until this point, because we had issues with two HP printers back to back. So of course we thought to look at other options in regards to printer products. When we were looking online we really didn't have any clue on what brand to choose. First we were just solely looking at price range, but to the help of the reviews by other Best Buy customers it really helped choose a brand and model. That is the reason for the purchase of the Canon Pixma. When it first arrived and was taken out of the box, I was shocked to see how bulky the printer was, but as soon as I finished reading the instruction manual the shock was soon over and I enjoyed the overall dimensions of this Canon Pixma printer. Installation was overall an easy set up as long as you keep to the steps written in the setup guide . I honestly wanted to just jump in and "plug and play" as they say , but I am glad I didn't because the setup really needs to be followed accordingly. Once we finished with the setup and printed our first "practice" sheet, it was amazing how professional it felt compared to the Hewlett Packard printers we have purchased in the past. That is the reason for the excellent rating overall, because due to my experience with probably 5 Hewlett Packard printers I would say this Canon Pixma has been the best experience to date. Thank you for taking a moment and reading this review, really hope it helps you choose which printer to purchase. Just like the reviews helped us :)

While I can say that I only just got this printer today, I am very happy with it so far. Of course I cannot speak to anything long-term yet like it's ink consumption I can tell that, initially, the printer seems great. I read some of the reviews about ink consumption and, knowing other Canon printers as I do, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a 'thirsty' machine but I cannot say anything about that yet. I recall reading in a number of reviews about only so-so text print quality. What little I've printed seems to be of excellent quality although I just let it print so it may have been printing all the way on highest quality. A photo I printed also turned out great and, being a photographer, I wanted quality photo printing. I don't print a lot overall but, I want to be able to print decently when I do and this printer certainly did. I read reviews about the printer being slow but I can't say the same thing in my limited experience with this printer, it was actually quick (not super-quick but quick). I also read about having to have a cable to scan and send to a computer; this is not the case. I DID have to have the CD installed before my computer was on the list of where the scan could be sent but it worked just fine and over wireless connection. Again, we'll see how this is on ink. Fortunately I don't print THAT much so at least that's not a HUGE concern of mine. The ink tanks are quite a bit smaller than on the previous model printer I had so I can see that they could run out quickly but, again, we'll see. A final feature I really like is the automatic document feeder - yes, you can scan multiple sheets without having to put them individually on the glass. One think I really like it the light-up buttons. There are 16 buttons on the front which I at first thought were not labeled. In fact, they light up with whatever options are available to you when you're going through menus (like O K to choose something or a back arrow when you can go back). I do also like that you don't lift the whole glass portion up to get at the printhead to put ink in. it's just a small door although that does mean that it's a bit of a tighter squeeze - could be a bit tricky for someone with large hands or who has poor manual dexterity. The only issue I've noticed is that the the paper support on the output tray it a little flimsy. There is a part that extends on its own in a 'swing-out' motion, seemingly spring-loaded as the tray opens. I have found that this occasionally does not retract properly and would block closing the tray but this usually seems to be easily corrected by extending that piece all the way back and then gently back toward the position it would be in when closed (just until it seems to bump up against the spring again). If that's the only complaint I have about this printer, I really have no complaint.

I have been using Canon printers for at least several years. Canon printers are excellent quality printers, reliable and easy to set up and use. This Pixma MX922 all-in-one is no exception!! The Pixma MX922 has been on the market for at least several years now. The user screen is easy to use and is operated by small push buttons, so the screen is not a touch screen like some of the newer Canon printers. Nonetheless, the display screen is very simple to use I think. It can be set in the menu options for silent operation, but it is quiet enough by default. The supplied ink cartridges are full cartridges, not samples. At times, printing can take a minute or two while the printer head aligns, cleans. initializes, etc. Print quality is outstanding and the separate ink cartridges are easy to replace and economical to replace as needed. The scan quality by default at 300dpi is outstanding and easy to use as well. I have not set up the FAX functions yet, but I am sure that will be a snap when I do, if ever. The upper paper tray holds a generous paper supply of 250 sheets and the paper holder platform pops out automatically to hold prints! Nice feature! There is also a top paper tray for custom photo paper sizes too! I love the wireless wi-fi connectivity, so it can be placed anywhere within the wi-fi area without a cable! Also, Best Buy had this in stock when I couldn't find it any where else! I have two of these and very glad I purchased these. Canon is great quality and reliability when I need it. The replacement ink cartridges are easily found almost anywhere. This printer also accepts quality generic compatible ink replacement cartridges which are a bit cheaper. Overall, I am very pleased with my Canon Pixma MX922! I have recommended this printer to friends too. They love it!

    Perfect Printer

I have read many negative reviews on this printer. Mainly of the construction, the speed and setting it up wirelessly. All I can say is, I have not had a problem with any of these issues. I am a website and graphic designer and I need a good printer. No, I need an exceptional printer. I was wary of buying this one based on some of the reviews, but I went with my gut feeling. So far, I am not disappointed. It connected to our wireless connection in under 20 seconds. It prints out our documents in literally 3 seconds and the construction seems fine to me. There might be potential for the paper tray to fall off or get caught, since it opens up on its own when the printer turns on. I have not printed any photos with it yet. I had a Canon printer prior to this one. The DPI is the same, so I already know the result will be amazing. Canon printers always produce the best photo quality. If you have had Canon photo printers before, then you already know ink can be expensive... so no surprise there. If you are switching from HP, then you definitely should know this. I'm personally used to the price, as I've used Canon for years. I print A LOT and the ink consumption is great for what I need. My old printer was the same. I'm beginning to wonder why people are having trouble setting this up wirelessly. We hooked our printer up first, then we installed the software CD. It immediately found our network and asked to connect to it. I think that's the trick. Maybe some people are installing the software first and are having problems? Or maybe they have a bad/slow internet connection? That could also be why some people say it prints slow. If it's connected to WiFi and it is slow printing, that is not the printer's fault - that is your internet. Either way, this printer is wonderful. The quality and speed are like a dream and it is very easy to use. I would not know about the faxing capabilities, as we do not have a phone line. Nor would I know about the scanner because I have not used that yet either. I will warn all about the size though. It's massive! It takes up most of our desk and doesn't leave us much more room for anything else. That aside, I would highly recommend this printer to all designers and freelancers!

    Fabuolus Printer for Personal Printing

I use my new Canon Pixma MX922 printer for mainly copying and printing recipes and sewing, crochet, and craft patterns and/or directions off blog sites. I also print out, on a weekly basis, my Bible lessons for my class of 10. I love how clear and clean the text and photos turn out on plain generic printer paper. I am also very happy that it is NOT an ink hog. My old Kodak ESP Office 2170 was always running out of ink. Yes, Kodak cartridges are really cheap when compared to others brands but they don't last very long. Also you are not allowed to print the Kodak cartridges until they run out- the printer just shuts down at a given point when it is low, telling you to get a new cartridge, then won't print until you replace it. However, my new Canon Pixma MX922 is so ink efficient! Yes, it will cost you about $75 to replace all 5 cartridges but they will last a very long time in my opinion. I use my printer everyday and am still printing going on 3+months with the original cartridges. I have also printed a few photos on photo paper and they came out very professional looking. It is a bit on the big side but since it copies and faxes along with printing I expected it to be larger than one that just prints. It fits snugly next to my computer and loads and stores paper in the bottom front drawer. You do need extra room in front of the printer. Keep that area clear so when beginning to print, the "door" can pop open, allowing a bar to come out and support the printed sheet of paper. You can close the "door when you are finished. One interesting detail to me- and it could be that I'm not doing it correctly- is that I have to turn off the printer BEFORE I shut down the computer. The few times that I have forgotten and just shut down the computer with out turning the printer off, the printer tells me, the next time I turn it on, that I have not shut it down correctly. But this is not a complaint- I just have to remember. I am really pleased with my purchase and recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable personal printer that has low ink consumption.

I cannot be happier with this printer. I read reviews online about everything that I possibly could and specifications - so when I realized this one could do 9600 by 4,800 dots per inch I was sold. I went ahead and purchased 3 more containers of ink because I knew this is what I wanted. the representative in the store told me that Canon was the breast printer available but you're going to pay for it, so then I started looking at HP, but then I realized that most of the color cartridges come in tri color whereas Canon comes in 4 to 5 seperate color cartridges but they are individual. For example if all of my blue or cyan is gone but yet my red or magenta and yellows are still available I would have to replace that ink cartridge. whereas I found online I can buy a single ink color cartridge for Canon for about 13 bucks a piece that right there made up my mind. Now I have printed easily a hundred four by sixes a very good handful of five by sevens and probably 10 to 15 eight and a half by 11 and I cannot be happier with the quality. I will say that it (the printer) is large but you can also set it up wirelessly to do regular Printing and as long as you just do grayscale for normal printing as it has its own ink cartridge for that and you're not wasting anything that you would be using for your printing of your photographs. The phone that I use for printing is a cricket style Idol 3 from Alcatel it's not the most expensive phone in the world but it does have a 13 megapixel camera and I do love the fact that I can print directly from my phone using and the app that I found on the Google Play Store. If you're like me and you're strictly looking for something for your photographs you cannot do better than this printer. I guess I was lucky I found this printer when I bought it it was only $85.99 I have since looked again and now it's back up to a hundred bucks. lucky me regardless of the price 9600 X 4800 compared to everything else being half of that the colors are immaculate it is an amazing printer!!

It was finally time to replace my beloved printer after many years of dedication to my cause. After looking at reviews, I went with the Canon Pixma MX922. It is a bit on the large size, heavy as well, but the bag it came in made for easy removal from the box. This Printer does it all, scan, photos, printing, copies, and fax. It can be a bit noisy at times, but I was used to that because my almost dead printer did the same thing. It’s as if it needs to adjust or ‘something’ from time to time and you’ll hear clicks and such. This is a wireless printer with Wi-fi….I love the feature. Being a student and my boyfriend a financial manager who can and does work from home, I find myself laying claim to MANY different spaces around house.....his home office. So wireless printing is a must have in our home due to the musical chairs we play throughout the day. Faxing and scanning are both a breeze. There is a photo app that you can download after purchasing the printer which allows you to edit and print your photos straight from your devices as well. There are two paper sources: the paper tray and the loading tray on top. The paper tray does not hold a huge amount of paper, about 250 sheets but it has proven to be adequate for home office use. It would not be enough in a busy workplace, but for our home office, we have not missed anything. Set-up was quick and painless with the wireless capabilities and best of all, you don't have to worry about messy, unattractive cords hanging around. You just plug it in, get to work with your set-up, and voila! The instructions that came with the Printer were adequate and easy enough to understand. I had no glitches or problems there. I have really liked the quality and capabilities of Canon printers I have owned in the past and the MX922 so far has not disappointed me!

I purchased a HP Photosmart 6520 a few months ago from Best Buy. It worked fine, until Verizon needed to replace my Fios Router. That's when the HP became a nightmare. With over 15 hours of extremely frustrating tech support between Verizon and HP, the 6520 could not find my home network. So, I owned a big black brick, which couldn't print. Best Buy saved the day, when they approved the return of the 6520 after several months of use with full credit towards another printer. This IS why I'm a loyal Best Buy customer. Kudos Best Buy. Not wanting to have a repeat issue with a HP printer, I did some research and the Canon Pixma MX922, while a bit higher in cost than I might have liked to spend, was highly reviewed. So, I replaced my HP with this Canon. It connected instantly to my home network. The set up was seamless, simple, easy, painless (HP should have something this simple). The print quality is superb, it's fast, it holds 250 sheets of paper, it's quiet and it's actually attractive for a home printer. A bonus is this printer has an ethernet port, so even if it wouldn't connect via Wifi, it would connect directly to a router, so it's very versatile. If you have Verizon Fios as your home IP, don't, I repeat DON'T buy a HP Printer (unless it has an Ethernet port). I'm now a Canon Printer convert.

This printer does so much more than just print. I want to point out a few key features I like. The ability to print from my cell phone (Android) does iPhones too, right to the printer. These is amazing. The printer has two separate paper trays. I keep standard paper in the lower tray and 4x6 photo paper in the upper tray. So convient not to have to swap out the papers. The next thing I was amazed about was the photos are photo quality. I just ran water over one I printed last night to see what it would do to it. Nothing! Perfect! One thing that was confusing to me was there are 5 ink tanks. 2 black tanks? This is simple to explain. One black is used with the three color tanks for color and photos. The other black tank is for standard black text as long as you choose B&W for text printing. Nice feature! There are a lot more features. Few notes to prospective buyers: The red on the bottom of the door in some photos you see on the web is there, but not as pictured. It is a lot more subtle. See my phot of actual printer. I always wondered if the door auto opened and closed. Here is the answer. It auto opens when you print. Once you remove the paper or photo you printed, you close the door if you like. Hope this helps you decide. I love it!

At 81 years old I have used many printers since the late 1970's. With that span of years there are memories of many printers, some good and some bad. Yes, I like most of you out there, call on those printers for many task. Most of my printing has been with my picture file and at present that file contains over 20,000 pictures both black and white and of course, many pictures in color. Recently the need arose for a new printer. A great deal of my research said the Canon MX922 "seemed" to be right for my needs. Well, okay, I will see what my friends at Best Buy have to say about this. I pretended not to now anything and told them I needed a printer that would be good for pictures. My sales person told me of his experience with his customers and pointed me in the direction of two or three different printers. I explained that most of my past experience had been with "brand X" and it would be hard to change. He went on to explain in great detail, the quality I could expect with all the printers and it was decided that what I was looking for was great print quality, more trouble free and good with ink use. That was interesting because that is what I had discovered in my own research. Brought the MX922 home, set up was easy and, of course, I had to print a few, carefully selected pictures. Wow! This was on the verge of being, "breathtaking". I was excited about what I was seeing. I was using the usual 4x6 prints but had to try the letter size. Same results. I do a lot of writing,, for many reasons, and thought this was a good time to see what results I could expect with this printer even though I felt that all printers would be pretty much the same. Wrong, not a new experience for me, The results were more than satisfying. The results were great. I am now a Canon MX922 fan. If you need a new printer for any reason, this is the one for you.

Purchased this printer after in person viewing of photo printing quality. Wanted an all around home office printer as well as quality photo printing to replace an aging HP Photosmart. Read reviews and expected to buy an HP but on reviewing and comparing the print quality chose the Canon. Best Buy staff was very helpful giving me real time in-person printing for comparison purposes. Item I had planned to purchase had an overall gray look for the white areas, perhaps as a result of the HP newly combined multicolor ink cartridges. This Canon printer has separate color ink cartridges and the photo printing pops like a professionally printed photo. I had a few questions when installing and Canon tech service was fantastic with assistance to cover my issues (didn't want fax attached to phone line all the time). Also, assisted a friend installing this wireless printer onto her Vista driven laptop. After closing the vista laptop security the installation was a breeze. First time print seems to take a long time, thereafter, speed is as expected. I have had this printer for one month and so far, it is great!

I was in need of a new printer/scanner. Did some looking and found this one on BestBuy.com. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase it at the local BestBuy store beings they had it in stock. The local store had it for a higher price but matched the online price no questions asked. Out of the box... Setup was relatively easy, unpack and just follow the step by step instructions. My router has WPS connectivity, so press the button when prompted to by the printer and poof wifi connection was made. Software install on my iMac... Put the disk in the CD-drive and it connects online to Canon and downloads and installs the latest version of drivers and software. NICE! (Note, I had to reboot my iMac after the setup software install to have the Scanner recognized in Photoshop's Import from device command.) Print quality is great. Scanner works well, and has a quick warm up time . Easy copy function, lift the feeder lid, place document in the document feed, push the button (B&W, or Color)... Fax feature I can not say... I have no need so I didn't configure it. The down side to this all-in-one is that there is no SD/CF card reader slot for printing straight off a SD/CF card.... Something I never do anyway so no biggie for me. (There is a USB port though so you can print direct from a thumb drive.) The finish is a high gloss finish which show every finger print touch. Has a medium size foot print and weight so plan accordingly for it. It is a little noisy, but not bad. All in all I am very happy with the unit and for the price...Can't beat it!

I've always owned canon printers before and I love the quality it produces. This particular printer had great reviews online and for a very reasonable price. A few things surprised me. The size of this printer is huge. It will take up a lot of space. Not a big deal since I have a separate area for my printer. The duplex scanning and printing! What I mean by this is I no longer have to manually scan both sides of a document. This canon will automatically scan both sides. It will also automatically print on both sides of the paper too. Super huge bonuses and I don't think I could ever get another printer without these options. I can't comment on much the ink cartridges cost as I'm still using the supplied ink. It also comes with two separate self contained trays to hold your computer paper and 4x6 (or other photo paper). I don't like exposed paper trays as those always attracts dust onto your documents. Especially if you're not a heavy user. Get this printer. You won't regret it.

I was looking for an all-purpose printer for use while away from my home office for several months. Thanks to positive reviews and a fantastic promotion from Best Buy, I chose the Canon Pixma MX922. The printer has a hefty weight and solid construction despite the amount of plastic in its build. (I chose store pick-up in order to reduce the amount of handling the printer was exposed to prior to set-up. Note: Canon has reduced the chance of potential damage by paying great attention to securing all moving pieces.) My biggest worry is the sturdiness of the front panel which folds down to become the print receiver platform. It's no doubt fine with careful use but keep the kids away! The paper capacity is relatively small but perfectly suitable if printing demand is not high. In the month since purchasing the printer I've only printed letter-sized documents so can't attest to the quality of photo prints. For my needs thus far, the print quality is excellent. I use a wireless connection and set up was extremely easy. At first, I thought the printer was rather slow to respond to my printing instructions but it seems to be getting faster with use. The duplex printing feature is a definite paper saver. Overall, I am very pleased with this printer and its performance and so am giving it 5 stars.

I bought this printer mostly because I wanted a scanner and my old printer which was made mostly for photo printing did not have one. The printer aspect of the MX922 is pretty good, above average for a small business printer like this one. The picture quality is good enough for everyday sharing and the ink use is very reasonable as well. If you want a photo printer you shouldn't get this printer, but I think the average person could deal with this being there only printer. The scanner aspect on the MX922 is what really makes the unit stand out from the competition. The biggest feature is the 35 sheet duplex automatic document feeder, which means you can scan 35 double sided sheets (70 pages) without any user intervention. I scanned a couple thousand sheets over a few days, ran into very few problems, and got very good quality out. I was scanning very thin sheets, probably the thickness of cheap notebook paper, and ran into only a handful of jams or double feeds. This was on the fastest setting, Compact PDF, which can do 35 sheets/70 pages in about 15 minutes. Outstanding performance for an all-in-one as far as I'm concerned. I didn't use the fax at all or even set it up. The copy feature seems to work very well, and can scan and copy a double sided page to a double sided copy automatically. Needless to say, I'm very happy I got the MX922. I bought it during a $99.99 sale (which is run frequently on this unit), and although I don't know if is the best choice at full price, at sale price I don't think there is a better printer out there.

Seeing this printer online (and reading the specs) didn't fully convey how big it was. Comparing it side by side in person at Best Buy with the MX472 put it into perspective. I almost bought the MX472 because of the size difference and the fact that the MX922 has a high-gloss finish, compared with the MX472 textured finish. In the end, it was the on-screen display size and individual ink cartridges that won me over. Although setup was not super-fast, it was straight forward. I followed the instructions exactly and set everything up as expected. I chose to use the standard Wi-Fi setup, as I saw that other reviewers had trouble with the one touch WPS setup. I entered my Wi-Fi password and the printer connected quickly. One thing that was not intuitive was the Google Cloud Print. You must start the Google Cloud Print setup on the printer itself. It prints out a page with a dedicated URL that you type into your Chromebook (or phone). This links your exact printer to THAT Google account. ** To add more users, you must then go into THAT Google account, select "Share printers", and add more users. It makes sense once you see it, but it is not spelled out in the setup guide. The printer itself is quiet and fast. It makes a little noise when "warming up", but not excessive. The pages are super clear, and the 250 page paper tray means you don't have to keep loading paper once or twice a week.

I love this printer, i do admit it is large and bulky. But I find it quite the attractive option and economical as well. It prints very quickly and scans things even quicker. The built in controls on the printer can get most jobs done and you can print from or scan to flash drives which is great if you're not going to boot a computer up. The features I enjoy most are all the cloud printing options. The google cloud print functionality is fantastic and I print documents from around the world from the internet or my mobile devices. I also like that ink is relatively cheap if you buy remanufactured or generic cartridges. The dual paper tray system is nice because you don't have to go to the printer and change the paper type if your most common alternate paper type is always loaded in the alternate paper feed. Things that bother me: Of course as this is a networked printer, you're going to leave it on all the time. I just wish that the two lights that stay on were a little more attractive than the evil blue that they are. Also the cloud printing could have came with better instructions. It took me 20 min to set it up for a couple accounts because I kept making mistakes.

I've owned countless printers over the years, and I always come back to Canon. The MX922 certainly doesn't disappoint, here's why: Large paper tray underneath, which closes completely. This is a huge benefit, particularly in a dry climate, like SoCal. Paper lasts longer, print quality is improved. While the machine does tend to be slow when it's "awakened" after not being in use for a couple of days, it still performs flawlessly. Wireless set up is quick and easy. I especially love the multiple page auto-feed document feature on the top of the machine. Just place a stack of papers (I've done up to 25 sheets with no problems) and it grabs them, scans or copies them, and I never have to open the lid to expose the platen! Ink consumption seems reasonable so far. It's not the absolute quietest of machines, but that's a minor thing. Measuring about 20" from side to side, about 9-10" tall, and 15-16" from front to back, it's slightly larger than my older models, but it still fits on a narrow surface, Totally pleased with this purchase, I highly recommend the MX922!

I got MX922 primarily to print for my small business but also for occasional personal printing of pictures and notes. Installation was very simple and the connection to the network could not have been easier. I have had this printer for about a month and it has never lost it's internet connection. My old cannon printer would just drop the connection, for unknown reasons, every couple of months and require a whole setup again. The quality of printing, both black and white and color is as good as the giant commercial printers I have used. It will print on both sides of a page which saves a lot of paper for me and has a lot of other extras I have not used yet. The scanner setup is also very simple and it scans multiple pages at one time. My old Cannon only scanned one page at a time. No problem with the quality of scans and the transfer process is quite easy. You can email it directly from the scanning process without having to save it to your computer first and then find it again. I can only speak to the installation of the fax process. As with the other processes it was easy. I only have one line and the fax will listen to incoming calls. It will take the call if it hears a fax tone otherwise it lets the answering machine take the call. All in all an excellent printer after a month.
