My first Cherry switch keyboard. It feels pretty different from my previous generic board. Still a little bit noisier than I would prefer especially the space bar but still acceptable. RGB settings are very plentiful through the Corsair cue software though I wish it had built in memory to save the settings. I got it with a edu coupon. Even without, the original pricing was reasonable. I would recommend this keyboard for people who like full keyboards with number pad and great RGB options.

This keyboard is great, the RGB is quick and bright (but you can make it slow and dim if you want!) and the software is easy to use, but has complex options if desired. The keys are "silent" as long as you don't get any board vibration, sometimes if I happen to hit a certain key hard enough I can hear a resonant "ping" afterwards but if I am doing anything or wearing headphones I do not hear the keyboard almost at all.

    Excellent Keyboard with Cherry Switches

This is now the second Corsair keyboard I've purchased. Somehow I managed to need a keyboard when these Corsairs were on sale, so that was good luck. Quality wise, you can't beat the construction. They are solid, well-built and the Cherry MX switches are the best I've ever used. (I've used Cherry switches in other keyboards and they've never let me down). The version of Cherry MX switches I bought is the "Red" switches, and they are the perfect blend of tactile feel and feedback. They are also relatively silent, which is my personal preference. With their newer keyboards, Corsair is also using a software app called "icue." This allows you to easily customize the LED lights for a variety of looks and you can even isolate certain keys by making them a different color altogether. So if you regularly play games where you use the W-A-S-D keys, you can change their color to more quickly find them, visually. In theory, I think you could just about assign a different color to every key on the keyboard. I think you can also use the software to bind certain functions to various keys, but I haven't experimented with it yet. Don't quote me on that, though. Overall, I would definitely buy another of these Strafe keyboards. The last Strafe keyboard I bought (and still use on a different PC) was the version with red LEDs only, and so this RGB version was new to me. I love having all the color options! More than that though, I love the Cherry MX switches. Cherry has been around for a long time and it shows in their products. I'm glad Corsair was smart enough to use them.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend when he was building his own computer, and he loved it from the moment he felt the light response of the keys. He gushed over how quiet they were and what a difference this would make when typing late at night, and how the interchangeable gaming keys make it feel customizable. He took it home and within hours he was sending me video of the color waves running beneath the keys. I'm pretty jealous, if I owned a desktop I'd buy one for myself too.

I bought this keyboard when it was on sale. It replaced my das keyboard professional. I bought the silent red switches, and I have to say it is very quiet compared to the blue switches I had on my das keyboard. It's like typing on a cloud. The RGB lighting is awesome! So much customization options with the included software. Plus you can download RGB profiles online with customized macro buttons and lighting effects. Overall I am super happy with my new keyboard.

The Corsair Strafe RGB is an incredible keyboard, made of high quality plastic. the included key-caps and key-cap remover tool are truly game changers, they fit the game style so well you'll never miss click again (I use both the FPS and the MOBA key-caps. The registry time is virtually non-existent and the RGB back-lighting is the best I have ever seen. The USB 3.0 pass-through is also very convenient, as well as the included wrist rest. However, every product has some flaw or thing that could be improved upon in a future model. for the RGB Strafe, some dedicated macro keys would be nice (all keys can be reprogrammed but no dedicated macros are included) and I've noticed that in the light dirt stands out very well, if you play in a dim lit area, this is not a problem. Other than that, I'ts an overall excellent keyboard that I would recommend to any gamer out there. (I have the Corsair Strafe RGB with Cherry MX silent switches. For the first month I used this keyboard with a laptop and it worked as well as it works on my custom built desktop.)

Amazing quality and made for gaming. It's comfortable and it came with easy to swap out key caps for FPS and MOBA games, and a handle little tool that makes it easy to swap out keys and clean the board. RGB is just a really nice plus to an all around great feeling keyboard and with CUE software you can make it all sorts of colors and designs. I use nothing but Corsair now for my computer accessories and products.

I have other mechanical keyboards that I use on my other computers, and this Strafe is my favorite out of all of them. I have a Logitech G903 with it's Romer G keys, similar to the Cherry Brown, which is nicer for the RGB lighting aspect of it and the Gamdias mechanical Cherry "clicky" Blues. In the manner of typing and lack of noise, this Strafe Silent keyboard is the winner. The keys have just the right feel and response for gaming and typing without feeling mushy, plus none of that annoying click that can give you nightmares. All the keys have the excellent silent touch except for one, and that is the space bar. It has more of a clunky noise unlike the other keys, and you can hear when you hit the space bar as it stands out for every press you make on it, especially if you are typing, say like a letter, email or long report. The RGB lighting of course is unlimited in it's adjustments, accurate and not hard to figure out for the settings. There is considerable light bleed from all of the keys underneath, unlike the Logitech G903, but it is not a bad effect. The USB port is also a nice bonus, something that I think Logitech should add to their keyboards, because who doesn't need a handy USB for charging their phone and other accessories on their desktop? Corsair has an extensive layout of mechanical keyboards of which you should take considerable time to evaluate each one that is best for you for function, appearance and price, as for me, this RGB Strafe silent is my top choice.

I love this Strafe with MX Silent keys. It's not annoying when I'm gaming, my teammates cannot hardly hear me doing the WASD dance. I like that alot and wish my teammates had quieter keyboards. The build is pretty good and no issues at all there. I only have one thing I am not fond of and that's the wrist rest. It's way too low to be comfortable and the plastic feels way cheap. The RGB colors are nice and bright with no bleed out from under the keys. The software takes a minute to get used to and it could have been done better. Come on Corsair. Other than wrist rest, I am quite pleased with this keyboard.

The keyboard that illuminates your keys

The keyboard is well built and heavy, the keys have a very nice feel to them with the right feedback as you type . The lighting is just the sweet icing on the proverbial cake. This helps when working late at night and you don't want to use any extra lighting or when your playing games and want to highlight the keys you used more often. The only drawback is the software that comes with it being very limited and not intuitive, at least when your using this on a Windows PC, the Linux community have created a better version that works perfectly, unfortunately it is not available to the Windows platform. Yet the keyboard itself is still very much worth the going price.

I got this keyboard on Black Friday for a good price of $90. This keyboard has given me no problems whatsoever. It is fast and responsive. This is the MX Silent version so although it is a mechanical keyboard, it does not have that clicky feel or sound. It feels almost like a membrane keyboard. It took some time to get used to but this keyboard is great.

Great gaming keyboard for the money! WIth silent cherry switches, RGB lighting and a wrist rest I couldn't have asked for a better keyboard. I bought this as a replacement for my standard keyboard that came with my Dell. Very pleased with this keyboard as a new replacement and would recommend to anyone looking for a better high end gaming keyboard.

Corsair has some great products and they definitely delivered on this keyboard. The silent switches are definitely what makes this keyboard so great. It has the quality of an amazing mechanical keyboard without the loud clickiness you get with most. It is probably one of the most comfortable keyboards I have ever typed on.

This is my second mechanical keyboard I've owned. Hands down this is the most sleek and comfortable of them. It's also very customizable. Only downside is using the Corsair software. The Red silent switches feel great without sounding obnoxious, or just wanting to be incognito. The keyboard comes on sale every once in a while below the $100 Mark.

pros: 1) lighting customization is amazing, downloadable profiles a plus 2) keys are pretty quiet 3) can set macro keys 4) size cons: 1) no "g" keys for customizing key bindings (but i knew that prior to purchase) = a sacrifice 2) price overall, love the keyboard. very happy customer.

I absolutely love the aesthetics of this keyboard. I have always had the average keyboard...but after a week of using this I realize I have been missing out. This feels incredible, no loud sound from keystrokes, and the customization capabilities are endless. You can have lights illuminate after keystrokes or watch them trickle down the keyboard like raindrops!

This was my first mechanical gaming keyboard. I was considering the Razer Chroma but when I went to the store and tried it I didn't like the feel of the keys. Corsair uses authentic Cherry switches and these Silent MX switches are the newest addition to their lineup. As a gamer who shares my home with others I wanted something that would last me for years but wasn't too loud like many mechanical keyboards can be. The noise level is almost on-par with the membrane keyboard I had for years. There is an adjustment to the feel of it but believe me once you try it you won't go back! This thing has an almost infinite number of possible color combinations. Sign up for the free Corsair forums account and there are hundreds of custom profiles already set up by the user community. The CUE software allows you to create your own also. This is an excellent choice for any gamer but is also a well-rounded choice for someone who has to type a lot. It is a bit on the expensive side for a keyboard but the build quality is much better than several of the competitors I tried. Time will tell if I made the right choice but so far I am impressed.

I had a cheapo keyboard before and bought this because I needed something silent. This keyboard is very quiet. I was showing my wife how the keyboard worked and she didn't think I was typing on the keys. It's well built and feels incredibly quality. And the RGB is just a lot of fun. I would buy this again in a heart beat.

I got this because my other half was tired of hearing my keyboard click around. This keyboard is much quieter than any keyboard I've used. I came from a razer stealth Blackwidow. Love the lighting effects you can customize as well. I have all different actions and lights for each program/game I run. Love this kb.
