    The gentleman was most knowledgeable about my problem and solved it within a short period of time . He was very kind and courteous and well as understanding my needs although, I not being technologically savvy especially with the nomenclature, didn’t really know how to explain what I wanted. He immediately knew what I meant and began to work on the problem. The part I needed was not available in your store, sold out, so he explained the difference between it and the one you had. I chose what you had in stock which would be a savings in the long run. I was so pleased with the service and hospitality that I chose to purchase a washer and dryer from Best Buy rather than Lowe’s. I also applied for a credit card which was granted immediately. I am considering a larger, newer tv from your store instead of from Solutions where I usually purchase my electronics.

    The employees did an excellent job retrieving the info from my old computer. However, some personal assistance in finding a new computer and a more reasonable price in setting up the new computer would have resulted in my purchasing a new one at Best Buy instead of online.

    Was very pleased with the Geeks Squad service. Bought new laptop and they transferred all my programs and documents and pictures from my old laptop onto my new one. I came to pick it up and they went over everything from turning it on, to where all my stuff was and answered all my question. Very pleased with their service. They were very courteous and they definitely knowledgeable on what they are doing and service they are providing. Feel very comfortable in using them again.

    GEEK SQUAD Data transfer and backup

    I have used the Geek Squad for several years and have always been pleased. This Data transfer and back up took longer than I expected. I brought in my computer along with an external hard drive that I have used for back up. It took days before the Geek Squad realized it was NOT the hard drive on my laptop that was bad, but it was the EXTERNAL Hard drive that was not working properly. Once that was discovered and a new external hard drive was purchased, the data and back up was transferred with no problem. My suggestion to the Geek Squad was to test the external hard drive first to insure it was working correctly and not just assume it was. This caused a long delay in doing the back up and finally discovering the problem..and informing me the hard drive on my laptop (which is less than a year old) is fine...once this was done...I did get everything backed up and my laptop is now working once again. My main concern was the delay and speculation that my hard drive had failed. Once the real problem was discovered, things moved much faster and I am pleased to have my laptop back along with my data backed up and transferred. It took one wise , smart woman at the Geek Squad to discover this and phone me and correct the issue.

    Took my old computer and new computer into the store for a data transfer after the service tech was unable to do it in home. Almost all of the data was transfered from the old computer to the new, including information from an external hard drive. All good. Except the Steam game data. Nothing on this was touched, though I specifically asked about this. The in home tech told me I would need to tell the instore tech and provide the password to Steam to complete this service. At the store I was told I didn't need to give them the password. They were very helpful setting things up and explaining to me some new processes on the computer, I really had a good experience with the tech I spoke with. Unfortunately, I discovered once I was home that the Steam games had not been downloaded which I then did, but took some time.

    Primary computer (all in one) died. It was old and reached its time. Got a new laptop. Needed data transfer. I don't do open heart surgery on computers so turned to Geek Squad. They opened the old computer, extracted the hard drive, got it working, and transferred data to the new laptop. Everything transferred. They finished in just a day as opposed to the two or three originally projected. Slight discount on the price due to purchase of the new laptop. No problems. Satisfied customer.

    Review of Best Buy/Geek Squad/TotalTech assistance Nov/Dec 2022 NOT INTENDED FOR WEBPOSTING SUMMARY: The people were great; the process and coordination was perplexing. We’d give each tech involved a ‘5’ rating. We’d give the technician process and coordination purchased by us a rating of 2½. Although there is an opportunity to review three different BB/TT/GS tasks purchased, we were only aware of one officially receipted task until receiving this solicitation for review of all three. First, our thoughts of the personnel involved in the technical assistance with our purchase of the new computer and related. Gino was the tech that came to our location. Bobby Stromer was the tech that did the aftermarket installation of the RAM and memory and was very helpful in explaining. James Clements and Gabriel Wolfe helped to coordinate the check-in. All these techs (and others that we may not have names for) were commendably courteous, caring, and competent and we would be delighted to have their assistance again any time we may need it. Here was our experience with the difficulties involved. It appears to us that the difficulties center on the processes and coordination involved. It was represented to us that the newly purchased computer would have the newly-purchased aftermarket RAM and memory installed at the BB location, and together with the optical drive, would be brought to our location by the visiting tech at the time and date appointed. (We had already retrieved the newly-purchased monitor earlier from BB when it arrived.) When the tech arrived at our location, he was confused by that explanation and said that it was necessary for us to retrieve the hardware from the store. We were disappointed by this unexpected and inconvenient change but agreed to do so. The tech left our location with the understanding we’d keep him apprised of our expected return with the hardware so as to return to do the tasks needed. On arriving at the BB location, we contacted the CS function at BB and retrieved our new purchases. It was at this point that we realized that no work had been done on the computer; no RAM or memory upgrades had been made. This was yet another disappointment and time inconvenience. Fortunately, the GS techs made a team effort to get the work done quickly. Previously, I had asked specifically and understood that it was agreed that a ‘before and after’ documented standard performance test be done on the computer to assess the improvement achieved by the upgrades. This was not done. Tho having spent good money on the upgrade, I only have a vague idea of the difference as verbally explained by the tech. The computer is certainly quick and appears entirely capable. After the wait for the technical tasks to be completed, we advised (by text message) the visiting tech that we’d be soon returning to our location and available for his return. He was prompt to return and quickly completed some of the tasks we needed to get the printer drivers loaded and get the basic functions proven and running. Many of the concerns we had about transitioning to Win11 (from 10) were not able to be addressed in the time he had been allotted for our visit. We still only have a vague understanding of the relationship between BB and TT and GS. Perhaps this is an opportunity for BB to do better in it’s marketing of this service that was so important to us and – we thought – integral to what we intended: purchasing a new computer with aftermarket RAM and memory to be installed, new monitor, new optical drive, TotalTech membership, extended warranty, extended subscription of MS 365 software, all to be brought to our location together with assistance to transition from our legacy PC to the new equipment. We had hoped and understood that this would be seamless and that sufficient tech time would be allocated to achieve this. Alas, much of this was not done. We do not know where the system and coordination failures occurred. Some of the experience was very disappointing while our combined efforts with those of the techs we interacted with eventually kept results acceptable but it seems the results needn’t have been compromised in any way if the process had been clearly explained, expectations set, and/or the represented process had been accomplished.

    Bought a new laptop and had geek squad transfer data from old laptop. Left new laptop at store for 3 days. Everything was transferred perfectly. Very happy with service.

    When I came to get a problem figured out on my phone on what the company needed to get me to fix on my end, the guest representatives were very helpful and explained step by step what I should expect next. Two days later my computer was ready for pick up, and now I can get back to my school work.

    Overall, everyone I talked to was extremely helpful, but the online organization could be a bit better. I had a follow-up appointment a few days later to pick up my computer. I called ahead of time to see if it would be ready, but the phone is automated and it is extremely difficult to get in contact with a real person or get information from the automated messages. I went to my appointment and waited for an hour to be helped only to find out that my computer wasn't fixed yet. I went back a day or two later to pick up my computer and it works very well thanks to the people who fixed it, but I noticed after a couple days that a few of the screws underneath were missing, so now I have to schedule another appointment to get those put back in, if they even have them. Overall, the people were very nice and helpful but the process could have been more streamlined, especially since it is not cheap to get your computer repaired. It would be nice if it was easier to get in contact with a real person over the phone, the automated messages are extremely frustrating to work with and not helpful.

    I have to say the Best Buy Geek Squard at Citrus Gun Hwy has the best squad with Sheldon as the leader, who is so thoughtful and has the patient of a saint and explained everything on the computer Making feel at easy. Taylor checking me left nothing uncovered. I did not get the IT tech who did all the transfer to my new Desktop everything transferred perfectly. Thank you all.

    The day I bought my new Samsung phone the Geek squad was able to take me as a customer for data transfer services - which i was very happy with until I got home and found that not all of my contacts has been updated. SO, the next day I had to drive the 25 miles back to the store to try and get the job completed. I arrived as the store opened and Danny A. at the Geek squad counter was able to figure out the issue and complete the transfer. He was very courteous, and professional. Also he knew how to fix the problem. so a big THANK You to Danny A.

    My new computer was purchased thru Best Buy. I had them update the computer and transfer data from old computer to new computer as part of the Total Tech Membership Fee. They service my computers several times per year, mostly be remote and I am very satisfied with the service. As such I bought my washer/dryer through Best Buy and it is included in the Membership for service at no additional cost. I will buy other items from Best Buy that can be included in service agreement because of the great service I receive from them.

    At first, the intake person told me that it'll take 2 days for the transfer to complete but after I asked her to rush because I need to leave for a trip, they did complete the next day and I was able to pick it up for my trip... Another thing is that they have a bunch of people in the back but only one/two people working at the counter so the unnecessary wait, even though I had an appointment to drop it off, to me it's not acceptable.

    The GS did something for me that I was comfortable doing correctly myself but had to be done. They did a great job and quickly. I was back home with my new computer and using it with all my data from the old computer within 24hrs. I lost little to no time from work.

    I have been very happy with all help I have received from the agents at the Best Buy Geek squad at 55 Hotel Circle All the agents have been very helpful and have helped solve my problems some which occurred when they had to take everything of and reload I think everything is up and running like it was before and so far the original problem that I went in with hasn't returned since they did the reload (computer was locking up and was not able to be turned off) So a big thank you to all of your Geek Squad at Eubank! They are great. I cannot say the same about my horrible experience with the 800 number.

    Overall, I am very happy with the Geek Squad. It didn't go easily the first time, but part of this issue was my fault, due to multiple users and confusing file directory setup on the old machine. So even though it took multiple trips to the store, everyone was pleasant, courteous, and helpful. In the end, everything was done that could be done, and the transition to the new machine was about as painless as it could have been.
