The Geek Squad explained in detail what they thought had to be done and an estimate of the cost. It was clear what data they were fairly sure could be saved.

GeekSquad has always been very professional and able to answer all my computer problems. It usually takes an hour or more when they take control of your computer but they run a complete analysis and repairs and updates all problems.

My mother board crashed but the Geek Squad was able to transfer all my stuff off the drive onto a portable drive. It only took them an hour, even with ALL the stuff I had on the old drive - that they also returned in a static proof zip bag.

The photos are on a stick, which now I can look at. They would have been lost on the old computer which would not work anymore. I am assuming they did a good job, but I am not very computer literate.

Not quite happy with how this whole process has been working out for me. I am quite disappointed to know that some things are happening. Not quite sure how to fix this. I wish not to elaborate on this subject, being there are others who are going to be reading this. My ability to out come there to Best Buy, on the day that my spouse had dropped off my devices, which had left me unable to describe my own needs, due to my own physical disabilities. I am not very happy to be on a certain network, especially being that I know that I have deleted those so called sites. As far as the service goes. I do recommend Best Buy and Geek Squad. I was terrified that I would lose my documents and pictures. However, everything downloaded to my new computer in the same way as they were on my old one. It made me more comfortable in using the new computer.

Geek squad were very helpful in backing up data from the pc to the Mac but I have been having problems trying to run Parrells to retrieve my old data. Will probably need to reach out and have them help me.

Very convenient to have Best Buy Geek Squad set-up new computer right at the store using old hard drive. Just pick it up when finished and it's like you haven't missed a beat.

I have done this before and it was a lifesaver as I had several valuable docs that I needed recovered from my old laptop. I decided to do this for my daughter in this instance and we'll see how it goes.

The Geek Squad has always done a good job for me at handling my computer problems. They put all my data on my new laptop & then also moved things around for me when I picked it up & requested it. They're great people to work with!

I got great service from the Geek Squad for transfering all of the data, pictures and documents on our old machine and transfering them onto our new laptop. They gave us quick turn around and all of our information was taken care of.

I have online backup but it takes days to restore all my files. Geek Squad did it in a matter of hours. I bought the yearly tech plan and it covered transferring my data files. Love Geek Squad and Best Buy!

Like the looks and sound. Disliked that I needed a cable that was not included.

My old computer's OS was corrupted and they worked with me to retrieve what they could of my files from hard drive and transfer to new computer. Could not get everything, but got most of the important stuff.

I just bought a new computer because I need to up grade. Geek Squad was so helpful with transferring everything from my old computer to the new HP Computer, all done in 24 hours too. Very Happy with Best Buy

I think they finally got it right, my music is in the Library as it shoud be . The last Data Transfer was everything but okay, the geek squad has made a beleiver out of me and I don't have any problem giving proper credit when it's due

The agents were able to save and transfer all my data from my old computer that crashed. That was a lot of documents! I really appreciate their service and expert recommendations for replacements!

Most everything seemed to get transferred ok, I just need to figure out how to pull some of it up and run.

The Geek Squad transferred my files from a crashed external hard drive to a USB memory stick that they recommended. With the transferred files on the memory stick, I was able to transfer the files to another hard drive with no problem
