The hard drive on my laptop had to be upgraded. I purchased a new one and the Geek Squad transfered all my files and pictures. The techs were great. They spent alot of time with me to me to make sure everything was transferred my satisfaction and answered the many questions that I had.

We needed help transferring data and the in store people went way above and beyond to take care of us when they found out we lived 80 miles away!

Computer was hacked, brought in for "clean-up". It had also been running very slow prior to being hacked, tech recommended upgrading hard drive. Service was completed within quoted time. It's running much faster since I have it back.

The Geek Squad was very professional and efficient in handling my service request for an external hard drive for my old computer. The cost was reasonable and the staff communication was excellent. I’m very happy with the service I received at Best Buy!

Geek Squad transferred my files to a new computer and then backed them up for me. Quick turnaround time and technician on my job (I can't remember name, but he only works on weekends and attends UC Santa Barbara)was very knowledgeable and could explain things in words I could understand. I needed to upgrade my hard drive and transfer all of my data. Geek squad did the job in one day even though I didn't have my Windows key for the reinstall. They even wrote down my key for me in case I needed it in the future. Service like this is why I always go to Best Buy & Geek Squad.

I brought my old tower to store with the backup thing. Within 3 hrs,called me to OK work. My desk top was same as my old PC although they forgot to install Norton. I had to wait 3 weeks to get a Geek Squad member come to house to set up.

I bought new cell phone at Best Buy. Price was ok , but it was not in stock, so I had to get it in mail & bring it in . a Geek transferred info from old cell phone to new cell phone . There was a little problem or 2, but he got it to work.

Asked for data to be transferred from an older MacBook, to a cleaned off, newer one. In my request I said I wanted the new computer cleaned (back to factory settings) and everything from the old one transferred to the newer one, so I could use the newer one exclusively. What happened was a strict data transfer. One file folder, on the newer laptop with all of the files and data. No integration; the newer laptop useless. None of the files opened nor worked. Had to give both computers back for a complete redo. The second time, most of the programs worked, most of the files transferred without degradation. Items that needed tweaking were taken care of. Overall, less than excellent because of the extra time required to do the task properly the second time. All of the Squad members were patient, courteous, and professional. The lesson is to be VERY specific when describing the desired end result.

Yes, I truly believe Best Buy's Geek Squad service out performs Apples Geniuses service division any day of the week for 98% of most work. Of course Best Buy are not permitted to upgrade any Apple products, which I don't see why Best Buy doesn't get their Official Apple Repair certification to do that work, because the truth is many risky dink small computer repair shops do have that Official Apple Certified repair service document and as a result can do major surgery on any Apple product and still keep that Apple product under Apple's official warranty status? Am I correct? Maybe Apple is blocking Best Buy from receiving this above mentioned Official Apple Repair Certification with fears that Apple will drastically loose control & start hemorrhaging big money if they ever surrender such a privilege to Best Buy in this department? Who knows, maybe Best Buy doesn't even want that Apple mess? Probably, right?

The tech was very knowledgeable and friendly He convinced to purchase service and items that would improve my computer.

Jay was more than AMAZING. In all of my time working with computers, I have never really had a Blue Screen of Death (BS0D) actually mean dead. I could always resurrect it, at least long enough to get what I needed. Not this time. My time commitments and resources were not in alignment to spend much time working on it, so off to the Geek Squad I went. The phone service, although they tried to be helpful, just couldn't do anything. And my appointment scheduled with the local team was a week away. Patience has never really been my strength, but I'm glad I was able to hold on. This service saved hours of work recreating content that I hadn't had a chance to backup. Saved at least 15 hours of my time to rebuild, and hours trying to troubleshoot. THANK YOU.

The agent backed up my HDD, which I couldn't do because the laptop was not able to boot up. It was stuck in a boot-up loop and never could get into Windows. It took a couple of days to get my laptop HDD backed up.

Transfer of data and back went smoothly. technicians were helpful

My laptop had a broken screen so the back up service is great for saving your important stuff and we had it all transferred to the new laptop. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. If you're buying a new computer it should be included in the price.

The agent downloaded all of my data and sent my dead PC to recycle land. I am very grateful for the quick and excellent service provided.

I took my old computer with me when I went to the store and bought the new upgraded computer. They called me within in a few hours to pick the new one up after they did the data transfer and set up. They do a great job and they are very fast.
