Big fan of Ryan Reynolds and yes he is perfectly cast as Deadpool. That being said the overall film itself and yes (I understand the character) this film just was rather basic and rudimentary boy gets powers in order to be with girl and then has to save girl in the end. There is no real story or actual plot to this film and yes part of the character is to parody the entire genre which is fine and funny.....but if you're looking for an actual story with a plot then abandon all ye hope. The action sequences look nice, the breaking the 4th wall is great, the cursing is decent, not as much female nudity as I would've preferred....but the real sticking point for me is the lack of story. The fandom I think made this movie far greater than what it actually was and if you're like me a person moved by story, while this is a good buy for a collector as I have ALL of the MARVEL LIVE ACTION films ever made on disc including the unreleased and made for TV films......the story is just not as good and it's rather forgettable. Hopefully Deadpool 2 Deader Pool, will have more focus on story and not just gimmicks and witty comebacks.

Well, we saw a much more serious Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool before in X-Men Origins: Wolverine with a very different look, so this film starts you off with some cognitive dissonance from the start as you get a chatterbox of a Deadpool here with his super sarcasm and gross humor. It's not a top-tier superhero movie, more like an R-rated Ant-Man maybe quality-wise. But the R-rating doesn't get you an Aliens or Predator, it just gets you a dirty, violent comedy more along the lines of Pineapple Express. I just didn't find that it lived up to a good superhero movie or even a good R-rated sci-fi film. Kids might like the costume and juvenile raunchiness, but seemed like a pointless and even harmful exercise considering the pedigree of Marvel.

I was expecting more of the character that was in the Wolverine but this is not the same character. It's the same actor, he used 2 swords and can't shut up but that's where the similarities end. This movie is trying so hard to take itself and the story in such a comedic route that it's a parody of what might have been a much better movie. It was fun and had quite a few laughs but in trying to be funny it was taken to the absurd, Family Guy has more realism...

What should have been a dark story in the Marvel Universe ended up being a tongue in cheek, violent & vulgar, comical-comic parody. Comic books were originally designed for kids. Therefore, the films should be made with them in mind as well. Unfortunately, adults have tainted many graphic novels & films to indulge their guilty pleasures. There are plenty of venues for the R rated themes, stop invading the children's realm to expand this stuff.

I know this movie did well in theatres and has a huge fan base, but I just had a hard time getting into it. I had trouble accepting and enjoying the violence and dirty language as well as the sex content and graphic nudity. Im not a prude, but this movie just isn't for me. I guess I will have to wait for the next Ryan Reynolds project.

This movie does look better in 4k. But the problem is it is minimal. For double the cost of the standard Blu-ray it's just not worth it. The 4k player up converts the 1080p signal and it looks great. This unfortunately leaves little reason to get 4k at a higher price. In comparison to the 1080p without conversion it is a huge difference. But why spend the extra when your player and TV make the 1080p look almost as good.

I like Marvel movies, but this one not so much. I guess it has it's niche, but I found it needlessly vulgar and violent. The protagonist is certainly not a hero, and doesn't grow into one by the end of the movie either. This must appeal to immature young boys, but I can't see anyone else liking it. Wish I had saved my money...

Although this is an excellent film and a beautiful steelbook, I have to warn you not to purchase this product. There appears to be an issue with all the 4k discs being misprinted and skipping terribly. I returned my copy multiple times, and had the same problem with each.

Interesting superhero movie with a different slant but unnecessarily too raunchy. More intelligence into the story or characterizations, with the movie's unique humor, in place of the sophomoric raunch would have made a far better movie.

There was so much gratuitous cursing in this movie I took Deadpool 2 back without opening it. I do not mind cursing if it is in context, but in this movie it was pointless and took away from the movie itself. The visuals were pretty good.

This movie was lame, unorganized and disappointing... in comparison to the other characters from the Marvel universe, they had a much better storyline and character build up! Hope the sequel will be much better! Still in my collection though... Even Fantastic Four was better!!!

The video looks pretty decent for 4k and the audio is fantastic. Included some cool stickers but the codes for the Digital Copy and the free DP2 movie ticket were NOT included in the package so don't buy this if that's something you wanted.

Although I'm not familiar with deadpool, I assumed that it shouldn't be that bad, but I was mistaken!!! This movie is definitely not for kids nor teens! It was too much violence, blood, and profanity! It had such a good rating, but definitely not my kind of movie!

I had a hard time getting comfortable with so much foul language and although I like Ryan Reynolds muchly, surely he is a big enough star to demand a little cleaner dialogue. It comes up short despite the cool uniform and attempts to be camp/funny.

I thought the movie had funny parts. It had parts in it that didn't need to be there and was extreme. (Wasn't nescessary) I didn't care for the story or ending but my oldest son loved it so I bought the movie as a birthday gift for him.

I am not a big fan of movies where they break from the action to talk to the camera. The story line would have flowed better without Deadpool talking to us. There were some funny parts within this rude and crude film.

I was not ready for this. I wasn't familiar with the Dead Pool character prior to watching this movie. I sat down and watched this with my 12 year old and we were both SHOCKED!!! Definitely not a normal Marvel kids movie

Ryan Reynolds hasn't disappointed me yet. However this movie I would not recommend for young viewers due to the violence, nudity, language among other things. But it did prove to be a good love story, in its unique way.

Meh I'm not sure why being so crude is such a high mark of praise for this movie. It was just barely alright. No comment on extras and such since I won't watch them

I love "superhero" movies, particularly from Marvel, but this one just didn't do it for me. Not that maturity level is a necessity for such movies, but I found the humor to be rather sophomoric, rather than clever.
