    Used Machine Sold as New

After 18 months the hard drive began randomly crashing. A local repair shop identified multiple sectors going bad. I asked them to clone the drive immediately. The clone went into the computer only to report back that "Bit Locker" was turned on, everything was encrypted, and the disk could not be accessed because the disk ID did not match the machine of origin. Best Buy had sold me a used machine, not a new one. The first owner turned Bit Locker on and registered it to his/her Microsoft account. Best Buy's response was that they do not make mistakes like that. I must have turned on Bit Locker and, by implication, I was trying to scam. When Bit Locker it turned on it is recorded on your Microsoft Account. I had never heard of Bit Locker before this and it is not logged into my account but it is pointless to fight with Best Buy over such small stakes. I just won't ever patronize them again.

Computer works great for my small business. Love the large screen and graphics quality. However, soon after purchasing I discovered that the speakers were faulty and crackle when listening to anything even on a low volume. Unfortunately it is now past the 14day return policy and I would have to go through Dell to issue a return. Might be too much hassle so I'll hold on to it for now. Other than that, I give this computer a 10/10.

I'm getting older, and figured a 17.3" laptop running at 1920 x 1080 would be easy to see, and I was right. You have to start with the display on this laptop... It's big, crisp and bright. No complaints. The keyboard is well spaced out and good key travel. Plenty of ports, even an SD card reader. A couple reasons for the 4 starts over 5. For the price it should come with an SSD. The intel Optane and 1TB hard drive isn't that bad, but when I installed a NvME SSD it really woke this laptop up. Another reason for the 4 stars is battery life, it's not that great. For me, this laptop can work as a desktop replacement. Due to its size and weight it's really not all that portable, but when you do take it with you, you'll be glad you have all that extra screen real estate.

This machine stayed on the shelf after it was built and there were a few rounds up updates to complete. The computer turned off during use at one point which required a reboot and immediately upgrading the BIOS. Dell provides an app as well as an easy to use site to get what you need. The screen is suitable for gaming and movie watching for long periods, suitable sound quality for built in speakers. Because of this the machine is heavy for a two in one. It sometimes helps to just use a mouse instead of pointing. The power and storage along with the screen size make this overall a good purchase for the price.

This laptop met all expectations and is very fast. The dedicated graphics card is a nice touch to allow system resources to operate more smoothly. The i7 new gen processor is definitely very fast and the price I paid during Amazon Prime day getting this in the $800s was a steal! Very happy with the purchase, exceeded expectations for its price, and it is built solidly well. The only drawback is that this is a LARGE laptop with the 17" screen, so you'll need to understand it is on the heavier side, but that is to be expected and is worth the sacrifice for the better quality and benchmark specs.

I do not understand why the trend is to go smaller with the screen/laptop size. This is amazing. I can have two windows open, which makes all the difference when drafting documents. Zero complaints. Works well, has been reliable so far. Is a little heavier, but not as heavy as you’d think with this giant screen. I use this for word processing, research, and email - don’t know anything about it’s video quality or need to use it to run big programs or anything. It’s just my work laptop, and I love it for that purpose. I love the idea that it can be folded over and be a tablet, but honestly for my purposes it’s kind of irrelevant. But it’s a fun idea and I like that when traveling or lounging it might be useful sometime.

i love this huge windows power horse! this convertible all in one 17 inch screen laptop is one of very few out there.. the only downside is the speakers really suck tho you can do a Bluetooth speaker and there is no dvd/cd player built in which is not convenient for me.. otherwise can't complain

I've been solely using Macs since 2003. I found out that Apple didn't make 17" laptops anymore. Once I got over the disappointment and trying some smaller screens, I decided to try the 17" Dell 2-in-1. The transition has not been bad at all. (I am forced to use a PC at work so I know my way around them.) I still don't think they're quite as user-friendly as a Mac, but for the $1,500 savings, I'll learn. So far so good--I'm glad I made this choice.

Purchased the Dell Inspiron 2-in1 17.3 in Touch-Screen Laptop. Got the latest Intel Core i7 chip, 16GB Memory and replaced the 1TB Hard Drive with a 1TB SSD drive. This computer is fast and loads my excel programs with ease. It also handles my autoCad drawings and I don't have any delays in redraws. This is a great computer for work or play and I would recommend this laptop for those that would like a big screen.

I purchased this laptop because I accidently spilled water on the keyboard of my other Dell Inspiron 17 7000 Series (which was repairable). I use both computers for general use. I especially love the large screen, keyboard, speed, and memory capacity. So far I haven't had any problems with the Dell.

This is my first laptop though in the past I had a Dell desk top. I love the slim look as well as the large screen. I bought this mainly for pictures so the larger screen works well. I'm also impressed with the speed of this computer compared to others Iooked at.

This Dell laptop that I recently purchased was money well spent. Not only does it have numerous features it should perform well for years. I especially love the touchscreen in the 17 inch which was difficult to find. Costly but worth it.

I love my Dell touch screen laptop. It has been an awesome computer so far. The only thing that would make it better would be if it weren't quite so heavy. It is everything I wanted in a computer and I am loving the touch screen.

Love the 17” screen on this laptop. It is fast & easy to get it up & running. Hoping this will take the place of my all-in-one desktop. May be a bit big for frequent travelers, but it serves my intended purpose.

I was running Windows 10 with Office 2013 and a bunch of other memory hungry apps on an underpowered low priced Dell machine I bought in 2014. It was so, so slow and frustrating. Now, I am thrilled by this powerful new computer's speed. With the computer, I opted to take advantage of the discount on Office 365 even though I owned Office 2013. I have a desktop and another laptop my wife sometimes uses so getting Office 365 made sense to me because it facilitates up to five devices - installation on the other computers was seamless and I now have the convenience of accessing Office 365 apps and OneDrive files on my other computers which gives me the flexibility to compute from anywhere at any time in my home.
