WoW !!.. a 27 inch that Tilts !!.. Exactly What I needed !!..I knew I just had to have it.. I can now reach and enjoy my Crispety, Crunchety, Peanut Buterry, Butterfingers...Thank you Best Buy !!.. Eye pleasure and works with Macs

I know it's not a cheap monitor, but you still want to be able to use your eyes when you're 80, right? So do your eyes something good and get good display gear. Less fatigue in the evening, too.
I was looking specifically for a monitor from Dell's UltraSharp series and this model fit my requirements: Good resolution, friendly for my eyes, works with Mac, can simultaneously charge while displaying and the best price at Best Buy.
When you use USB-C to connect to your Mac, Monterrey claims plain HD resolution (1920x1080) as "default for display". That may be the "default" but it ain't the "native" resolution. I suspect it wants to save some USB bandwidth with that choice.
Once you select "scaled" you do get the various higher resolutions. The best: None of them looks scaled. No pixelation or weird blocks. Just crisp picture. I like the middle "scaled" option 3008x1692 as compromise between readability and screen real estate. Even its native resolution of 3840x2160 looks great, but counter-intuitively you need to select it via the "scaled" setting.
I'd advise against auto-activating the Dell DDM software on a Mac. I have it installed, but configured its JSON to disable auto-launching. The monitor had some weird sprites with the DDM active, so you're better off without it.

Absolutely love this monitor! Originally purchased Samsungs- AM702 32” smart monitor but returned it and bought this one. This monitor checks all the boxes. Love how bright it can get which is a must if you’re using in a sun soaked room or bright environment. The color is vibrant as well. I love the fact I can connect to my laptop via USB-C and use it as second monitor while it charges my laptop at the same time. I highly recommend!

Amazing Dell - U2720QM Ultrasharp 27" 4K Monitor

I have been an all Mac user since 1997 having gone from separate components to the iMac when it was first introduced.
However my 2015 iMac was getting slower and more unresponsive every year and I wanted a 27" iMac with the M1 chip which seemed to be either a year away -- or possibly never to be offered.
What to do as I wanted a Mac computer with the M1 chip but also a 27" monitor?
The answer was the Mac mini (which I have already written a glowing review about).
By going back to separate components I could get the Mac I wanted and pair it with a quality 27" monitor.
After many hours of research I zeroed in on the Dell - U2720QM from Best Buy.
I picked up all of the components last Friday and got the system up and running the same night.
Fantastic!
The monitor paired perfectly with the Mac and runs like a dream with the wireless Apple Keyboard and Magic Mouse.
I did a side-by-side comparison between the old iMac and Dell monitor using one of the YouTube nature videos and the colors are quite close -- with the iMac being a bit brighter but otherwise no appreciable difference in quality.
One unexpected feature my wife and I like is the Dell monitor sits up higher than the iMac and is much more comfortable to view.
Overall I would give the Dell - U2720QM an 'A' and am glad I purchased it.

I'm a video editor and it's a good option for the value but there are now better monitor with better definitions. It works better with Microsoft than with Apple. Sometimes gets slow with Apple products. For color editing using a Mac or other Apple products, now I might consider other option.

This is an excellent monitor. Rarely does a purchase satisfy all expectations, this one does. The picture clarity is very good, the USB-C charging keeps my MacBook Pro fully charged, and the built-in USB hub adds needed ports with convenient access underneath and on the side. Only thing I would have liked is built-in speakers. The monitor has a soundboard but requires external speakers to be plugged in.

Using this as a second monitor for a M1 Macbook and a main display for PS5. The HDR isn't too great, but the colors are still super accurate for things like photo editing and the single USB-C cable is perfect for connecting my Macbook without having to use an additional dongle to connect HDMI.

This 4K monitor produces images that are sharper and brighter with more vivid colors than my old 1080p 27-inch monitor. Text is much sharper and easier to read. As others have said, the monitor control buttons are a bit challenging, but once you’re set up there’s no need to fool with them again.

Best 500-dollar-budget 4k monitor for Macbook pro. The 90w type-c charging power is really awesome.
The color is accurate. However, just pay attention to that if connected with an macbook pro, remember to set the color profile to DCI-P3 for right color display.

I can't comment on the stand, as I have it attached to a monitor arm. But the color and sharpness are extremely nice, and it's so nice having the USB-C port for use with my Macbook Pro. Highly recommended.

Fantastic monitor. Bought for my wife, who wanted an external monitor to connect to her MacBook Pro. I just ordered two for myself for my work-from-home setup. VERY convenient that the USB-C cable replaces the power and HDMI cable. And the adjustability of the monitor makes it very comfortable to use.
