I seriously hope that when the technology improves the redo the 3-D version of this movie! No doubt a modern favorite, and the 3-D effect was great in the theater version, but the home 3-D version of despicable me goes in between blurry and focused depending on what you're looking at, and the 3-D enhancement strains the eyes and makes it annoying to watch as opposed to the enjoyable, hilarious movie that it is. Thank God a standard 2-D version comes with the 3-D Blu-ray or I would've held onto my original DVD copy and brought this back to the store. That being said it is handy to have the minion movies on the same disk as the movie but as far as a 3-D presentation it falls shorter than Dave the minion.....

Purchased this partly because of "movie cash" that was included. Found out that it was actually coupon for Fandango that barely covered Fandango's fees. One selling point of Fandango is you can change your movie showtime after booking. I took this literally, but found out afterward that 'movie cash' value is lost when changing times. Since I did not want to pay their fees I opted for refund of difference. Terrible experience with Fandango and wasted time.

What can I say , my son loves this movie . I had to get it in 4k for its remarkable picture quality the dolby vision is no joke. The movie is ok , not too much over the top action. A good time waster with awesome visuals

Minions lacked in something. Can't quite put our finger on it, maybe it was good music, a good story line, or just that the ads leading up to it were misleading, but it just wasn't as good as the first 2.

This is a fun, quality movie for kids that is not total agony for adults to sit through. Funny with heartwarming undertones, but nowhere near the class of Up or Wall E.

Had some good parts, and some cringe ones. The plot isn't great, but it has some decent gags. It's not Pixar, but you could do worse.

OVERALL NOT THE WORST MOVIE, BUT I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE A LOT FUNNIER. THE ON;Y REASON I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS IS BECAUSE THE SECOND MOVIE IS HILARIOUS.

Very upset with the customer service people not sure how to find the free napsack that came with the purchase. I still haven't received it.

Love to give presents to young children with dvds like Despicable give them something to watch while thier parents drive them to school.

Enjoyed the story. Animation was great. Just wish the 3D effect was more exaggerated. That's what you want in a 3D movie.

Now that Despicable Me 2 is out, you have to see the first one too ! Same characters, same humor. My kids love it.

Not the best; not the worst. I like Carrell's character but could do without all the cutesy minions stuff.

The staff at best buy are too notch. The movie is a goodnone to watch with the family.

Disappointed the steelbook didn't include 4K and 3D. Steelbook is nice though

Purchased for in car movie for grandkids. The movie introduces words they don't need to learn.

The movie is nothing to brag about but the quality of 3D and special features sure is.

this movie is ok, more for adults than children. it will keep the kids happy though.
