One again, another epson goes in the trash bin

I had a 2 year warranty on this one and the color printing has gone to pot 2 months after that, despite all regular use, proper clearnings, and barely 7000 total copies. (btw I am a mainframe tech.) If I run the big purge cleaner it will send a bunch of ink to the trash tank and then you know what happens, it will give me the maintenance error. I have not even used all the original color ink supplied, I was sure the supertanker was the answer - NOT. The product is designed to fail and load up the oceans and land with more Epson trash that will never disintegrate. This is sad. There oughta be a law. Honestly, I have no idea what to buy next, but it must have a 5 year warranty and I realize I will have to pay extra. What a shame, look at youtube, I am not the only one frustrated by this continuous 'ripoff by design'. I wish I could just rent printers. Every brand has proven to be garbage in the end, I have purchased at least 25 inkjets.

Ink should last a long time with a lower cost to refill, and no more drying out of ink containers. That makes the purchase worth it. On the downside, the user interface is small (hard to read) and not as simple to use as previous printers. Print speed is slightly slower, but still acceptable. I have not tried challenging print tasks (such as photos) yet. No problem with setting up for the first time.
