I just got this printer and set it up. The print quality on documents and text is not quite as good as my last Canon printer, but it is not bad. It will definitely work for what we need it for. I printed a photo and was impressed with the quality. The initial cost of the printer is high, but all in all I believe the savings we will have on ink will be the greatest reason to buy this printer. No more running out of ink every 2 months!

Very reliable. Nice that ink lasts so much longer. The less expensive ink is very much worth the additional up front cost of the printer. Also, the was much easier to set up than my Hew lit Packard printer before this.

Well worth it - 100%. We now can print anything we want at anytime without fear of yet another ink cart either running out of ink or drying out. I tried all the tricks in the past with refiling my own cats, buying a bunch of generic ink carts even saw the complex attachments that you can add to the printer to allow for pouring the ink. Finally, Epson made the bold move to add $200 to the price of the printer and let us enjoy it without hassle. The print quality and speed on this printer is "the same" as $100 to $150 printers that are out there. I purchased the ET2550 model and I think you can pay more for more features if you want them but the quality will be the same I am pretty sure. Do not bother paying more for the Eco Tank models in order to get more ink. I considered doing this but happy I did not. When I run out in a year or so I will simply just pour an $12 bottle of ink in there and I will be good to go for another year. I have needed to hard reboot the printer on a few occasions but this happens infrequently (certainly no more than every other printer I have ever owned) so I am not taking a star away for that. If there were six or seven stars available I would give that.

I am not computer savvy, but this was so easy to set-up. Directions were specific, ink wells easy to fill and in no time was printing wirelessly from both MAC and IPod. This is the way of the future, no more running out of ink in the middle of a project. Highly recommend.

Printouts are very high quality, and all features work quite well. If it weren't for the initial high cost, I would have given 5 stars. Set up was way easier than I thought it would be, and not overly messy at all--and I won't need to add ink for a long, long time. I'm not really the prime target for this type of printer, which is best for those who print a lot of documents...but I don't care. Replacing cartridges all the time was annoying, and with this printer, that is gone. Sure, it may take me longer to realize the cost savings, but that's OK (and eventually I WILL be saving money overall), as it saves me hassle and annoyance. If you print a lot, this is clearly the printer for you. But if you don't, and you just don't like dealing with cartridges all the time, then this is still a great choice.

We have only had this a couple of months, but like it so far. It does seem to take a little longer to print color photos and pictures, but the quality is worth the wait. It is very quiet to run and very easy to use. We are hoping we get a lot of use out of the tanks of ink like it says.

This was a spur of the moment purchase. I had been considering replacing my HP printer. I am glad that I did. Set up was a snap. We should save on ink and the hassle of frequent cartridge changes. I can print from all of my devices. I don't know if it gives high end prints but they are good quality.

We bought this printer a couple years ago and I am JUST NOW getting my FIRST replacement black ink bottle! I have printed a LOT of pages using this printer without needing to bother changing out those pesky cartridges (that don't last)!! My husband and I are extremely happy with this printer - and it's also a flat bed copier as well! You won't be sorry getting one of these!

Great printer with room for improvement

Excellent printer for high volume, low cost printing. Does have room for improvement. Would be better with a larger and bottom paper feed tray. Handles photo paper and regular paper well. Has consistent issues with flipping the corners on brochure paper which ruins the printed page. The ecotank continuous ink system works extremely well. High quality generic ink is available in large quantities which almost completely eliminates the cost of ink for high volume at home or in office printing. At about 10,000 pages the printer will refuse to work saying the waste ink tank is full. I was able to clean and reset it myself however, this shouldn't be an issue for a printer that is designed to print 10,000 pages out of the box. The more expensive models might be a better option however the printer driver refuses to print double sided photo quality.

I like this printer a lot, it uses very little ink, the ink is not expensive to replace. It prints a nice image. Cons are- the paper feed is very noisy, it sounds like it is going to jamb (but does not) , and the scanner is extremely slow

I initially hated this printer until I realized I was using laser paper instead of inkjet. So make sure you're using the right paper! Then I tried both photo paper and heavy card stock. The default printer settings WAY over-saturate the ink. I had to set my own custom photo print settings with the saturation greatly decreased. The small menu on the printer could also be improved, but I really just print from my computer, so it doesn't much matter to me. What makes this printer so awesome though are the ink wells. I have saved so much money not having to buy ink cartridges. Yes, it's a big initial investment in the printer, but long-term, a good buy.

Connecting to my home wifi was a breeze and quality of print is very good. However, this printer has one flaw: One cannot set black & white printing as the default in order to save colored ink. Even when the printer menu itself is set for black and white, a print command from a mobile device or my desktop computer set for black and white, produces a colored printout. I see the Ecotank as a great idea, but without being able to control the default setting, my guess is that my initial ink supply will run out faster than I had hoped.

This printer sounded too good to be true. Would I really not have to buy ink for about 2 years? Well it works as advertised! I was worried about paying a high price upfront for ink and printer together. If you print about a few pages a month it will pay of itself. I also had problem of one color of ink running before the others. I'm so glad to leave that in the past. Print quality is good but the ink color isn't as saturated as a good laser printer but it's good for an inkjet. Print speed is quick, scanning is excellent and wireless setup was a breeze. It's well worth it when you consider time and money saved from not having to purchase additional ink.

I've been using this printer for about a month. I previously had an Epson NX515 and liked it so much that I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to replace the quality. Without reading reviews, I made this purchase based on brand loyalty, functionality and price. The ET-2550 far exceeds expectations. The modern ink system is great - long lasting and cheaper than ink cartridges. It runs much cleaner than my old Epson and much quieter. The printing process is quick with good set-up choices for style and quality. I highly recommend this printer for professional grade photos and text.

With every inkjet printer I've had before, I've always been conservative with the amount of printing I do because of the cost of ink. With the ink capacity provided by this printer, I've printed more in the last couple of months than I ever did on previous printers, and I've still barely touched the ink that the printer came with. And with the low cost of ink and the fact that I can buy each color as needed instead of replacing a cartridge because a single color runs out, I will probably continue to print more. My only complaint, which is what keeps it from getting 5 stars, is that it has trouble with paper heavier than 65 pounds. It will print on heavier; it just needs assistant feeding the paper.

Very easy to set up and the print quality is excellent. Using liquid ink instead of cartridges is different but so far no problems. If it is still working great in six months I will give it the 5th star,

I bought this because I like the idea of not buying expensive toner cartridges. The inkjet print quality is not as good as a laser printer, but it is definitely good enough for my home office needs. It was easy enough to set up and the wireless print options are easy to use. Filling the inkwells without getting ink on your hands is a challenge. The instructions suggest wearing gloves but they don't include gloves. When peeling the little foil seal off the the top of each ink bottle, I got some ink on my hands. It didn't wash off easily, but was gone after my next shower. I would categorize that as a minor inconvenience. If I don't have to refill the ink for 2 years, I'll be really happy with this printer.
